I was in the *wedding bells* topic discussing that we would make a present for the Meevster if he gets married, and then I realized that we should just make him a present for no good reason.
I think we should make him a quilt : 3. Each user could make a square and then one user could sew it all together.

I sent him pictures of my painting I did of him. And some cake my friends and I made for him, since would couldn't send him the real thing. We cut out the part that had his name in Kanji on it and it was HUGE! We also had a glass of orange juce next to it. 3nodding
Do you think he would accept cookies? I could food save them Just kidding!!! 3nodding
I think that is a cool idea, but..... I think one person should sew it, you wouldn't want to stuff to get lost, and to send a quilt to each person eek That is ALOT of money and will just keep getting more expensive as it gets bigger and heavier.
I still think it is an adorable idea~~ heart heart

that would be a huge quilt if everyone on here makes one square. And it would be awesome to see him use it ^_^

I've never sent anything to Miyavi before.
and i think making a quilt is a good idea.
Anyone here knows how to make a quilt and can teach me?

quilt making has to be simple If you do it like how people are thinking with everyone making a square and combine the sqaures and sew them together...Wouldn't you assume so? But they make books teaching you how and there are tv shows too *i watch one stroke painting before my clinicals XD;;*

that's a great Idea! and I was thinking since sending the finished quilt will cost alot of money, anyone did pitch in to pake the squares, or wanted to but difn't have the time or rescourses, can mail money to the one who's sowing the whole thing together so they can send it to myv.... sweatdrop just a thought

I am in!! I did say that in the wedding bells thread too!
Anything for Meevs, including postal extremes.
I wouldn't mind sewing the quilt together either!
We could also send him a scrap book of why we like him or something...okay That is a stupid idea. But I will think about what else we could send him xd
Good idea Manin-chan!! But if it came to cases in which someone doesn't have money I'd use my own to send in the quilt...

i really like this, i'd be willing to help out. but what sorts of things do we want on the squares? i'm lost on that part. i agree with the sending money to the sewer but they need to be trustworthy and not run off with all the money. I would love to send this to MYV, anything for him.

Awww thanks Infinite Fluxx How could I resist?? Sending presents to Meevers would be cool, even cooler if he like showed it in one of his journal vids or something. I hope you can get a new sewing machine! I know if Morticia died I would throw a hissy fit and cry...Yes I named my sewing machine.... stare

Quilt Sewer- Wahahaha! Now that all my fellow Miyavi guild members have sent me their hard earned money I shall go to Japan and kidnap Meevers!!!!
(proceeds to buy plane ticket... Maybe that wouldn't be so bad if they shared him with us xp )
I think the squares should be just what we love about him...We should just have a rainbow but we all can't do pink, we should be assigned a colour or something.
Like on my square I would draw him and like maybe put buttons or something cool on it and like patch stuff to it....Uh how big are the squares gonna be?
Maybe we should just determine the size and assigned colours and just mail each patch individually to him! Then he can get someone to patch it up for him. it would be kinda weird....Or like make patches for him.
I am sure he would love those and just send him fan decorated patches that we designed with love. He could like sew them on his clothes, although if its like "heart Miyavi" every patch he'd look kinda Narcissistic! xd
