Storyline:
Macy has requested that he be allowed back to the Labyrinth for a few days, having grown a tad homesick on Caspian's Ship. And so back in court he is surprised to find the Labyrinth complete and a new member on court.
Macy's feeling replaced, and so starts numerous arguments with the Goblin King, a little hurt that after nearly twenty years in Jareth's care, the Goblin King is so willing to be nonchalant and wrapped up in his own world. Macy feels like his family is going again.
He didn't expect to find out what he did though, Loeven is harbouring a vital piece of the puzle Macy feels compelled to complete and with it Macy's life could change forever.

Macy was currently sat in Jareth's library, by the fireplace as he broaded over why he was feeling so depressed all of a sudden. It bugged him that Jareth had an affect like this on him, he yearned for some type of regular affection from the Goblin King but his pride prevented him from initiating any affection-recieving activities.
He had argued with Jareth--infront of Leoven-- and had stormed off to the one place he thought Jareth wouldn't look in, his own library where Macy had only ventured once and had diligently ignored from then on. If he was honest with himself, he felt neglected or tossed aside, he was hesitating on his search for his mother as he felt he might not want to learn the outcome. Even if she was alive, he knew he would be broken hearted over her abandonment of him.
"dammit to hell" he muttered, staring at the dancing ornage to red flames of the fire in Jareth's over-sized fireplace. He hated the flames, he felt like they were dancing to tease him, and he didn't want anyone to do anything to him right now.

Jareth returned to the Library once again. Since Eidolon's sudden appearance he had been searching for more information about him in his spare time. In all the history books he had never read anything about the Labyrinth having a human form. Maybe he had missed something out.
As he approached his cluttered desk by the fireplace he noticed the Unigon for the first time.
"There you are." he said cheerfully "I was beginning to wonder where you had gone."

"why would you do that? go play with your new pet" Macy answered icily, not moving his gaze from the mocking fire. He sat with his legs bent infront of him, his folded arms resting on his knees as his chin was propped on his folded arms.
He felt decidedly upset, and that was tinted with a slow rage.
The fact that Jareth was so cheerful when he had not been at home also stabbed at him, he never thought it was his fault the Goblin King always looked soo upset or gloomy. He let out a sigh and continued looking boredly at the fire, the heat no bothering him.

Jareth's face droped almost instantly into a troubled frown.
"Well, what's wrong? I thought you were enjoying yourself with Caspian. So why the sudden chill in the air." he said feeling a little confused, but then again this always happened when Macy was around and he had gotten out of practise at predicting the Unigon's constantly shifting moods, most of which contained a lot of anger. Maybe he was just so terrible to be around that his young ward could no longer stand him.

"you! why are you so happy? Am I that troublesome as a "son" that you have to be free of me to enjoy yourself?" Macy asked, biting back the urge to tell Jareth just how happy Caspian had made him, he got to tease Caspian and Caspian didn't bite back...hard.
Macy finally lifted his gaze to stare demurely at Jareth, he really did feel like a hindrance of sorts. And with no fresh leads to his mother, he felt like he had failed her in ways, Macy's ears instantly flattened with his mood.

"Oh don't be silly, you're not troublesome....very often. You're just very young and trying to find yourself. Believe me, I was just the same at your age, and Caspian, well he was even worse." Jareth smiled, although it was a rather sad smile. "And the reason why I'm happy is because you're happy, and I'm happy because you've come back for a while. Because family is just as important as the kingdom you rule, it becomes hardest when the two clash."

Macy blinked in utter surprise at Jareth, his red-rimmed orbs wide as an unguarded look of confusion past over his young face. Jareth was admitting that he liked Macy...as a family member? and he had missed him? Okay, he had to admit that felt nice, maybe that little imp-like thing Eidolon had rubbed off some happy on Jareth.
"you know, when you're like this I can only handle you in small doses.."he started, a deceptively weirded out look on his face, he kept it, before his eyebrows raised and he smiled at Jareth. "...it's nice, to be back home" he added in a slightly cheerful tone.

Jareth smirked at the surprise on the young unigon's face. "It's good to have you back." he agreed "This place is a little too quiet without you, not counting the Goblin raves of course." He was glad to have a brief moment of affection from Macy, because in a few minutes it was quite likely that something would upset him again and they'd go back to their argueing old selves.

"well I try...to leave an impression, though I have missed turning your hair grey" Macy added, with a chuckle as his demeanor shifted into a relaxed state. He leaned back on his hands, his crossed legs infront of him as he gazed at the fire in thought, a state the Unigon rarely took.
"I can't find...anything to help me with my mother..." he said finally, a little sadly. His gaze softened as he thought of the few cherished memories he had of his parents, the locket remmained permanently around his neck as now it was his treasure.

Jareth sighed, he knew the subject was a cause for great pain, not only for Macy but for himself as well.
"Well she was last seen in the Unseelie kingdom." he said quietly "You may not like this, but Leoven has been a diplomat there since before you were born. Maybe he has heard some new of her." This was also a touchy subject, from the quarrel the two men had had in the past. It was a long shot, he wasn't even sure if Leoven would agree to help, as he was unusually secretive about the goings on of his country. Then there was question of whether Macy would even ask in the first place.

Macy looked at Jareth and cocked an eyebrow donning a sarcastic expression, Leoven didn't like him, so he was not going to ask him about it. He moved and stood up, dusting off his pants and leg-covers.
"Leoven doesn't like me, you'll have to ask him about it Jareth because i'd rather try and have a meaningful conversation with a venomous viper" Macy said, noting his hair was coming loose. He tugged at the bands holding it in place and took them out, so his hair was freed and cascading over his shoulders.

Jareth laughed and shook his head. "He won't tell me I'm afraid" he replied. "That boy won't even tell me who his family is for fear that he might reveal some national secret. I am a foreign king you see, and the Unseelie regard all outsiders as potential enemies, or spies. You on the other hand might convince him to say something."

Macy found he quite liked hearing Jareth laugh, though he intended to keep that to himself. He swung on his heels and sighed, turning to the door.
"fine i'll go throw myself at the bulldog then" he murmured tartly, moving towards the door and out of it.
He looked around for Leoven, having not been around enough to note his favourite haunts. So he decided to head for the obvious--the Unseelies room--and be as polite as possible--for the Unigon at least-- so he may have a chance of finding out his Mothers last location.
