Days had stretched toward weeks as the serene quiet flutter flew onward seeking that which was lost. Regrettable, she felt such misery in leaving her familiar and daughter far behind. The only sanctuary that drove her onward was the longing to find her mate and son. As the scenery became foreign and different she pushed onward hoping, if not even placing a prayer ipon the sheer fact that "they" were out there somewhere.
Decending into a small short flight she landed upon the ground seeking forages of greener grases and crystal blue water to quench her thirst. The snow was long behind her now, in which the clouds had given way to a sunny horizon.
Wings and breath exhausted she whickered to herself looking around her. Grasses grew emerald in hue with thick shoots strong and hearty. Her nostrild flaring inward and outward also caught the scent of water nearby. Pausing before she drove inward to indulge herself, her ears swived this way and that seeking any indication predators were lurking nearby. Though tired the little flutter mare dipped in the finest ocean midnight blue could seek the skies within a heartbeat. Satisfied she lowered her head finally relaxing as her sides heaved with the long flight's result. Finally in two week's time she could rest and forage till her search began once more.

Water as cool as the setting sun in sunmmertime called to her from across the plain. So long ago it seemed but close to a year, that her own longing in nature helped deliver three beautiful foals. Her life, a simple thing really made her all the more attuned to everything around her. Raising children had clearly opened her eyes to everything that swung in motion around her.
"My dearest Nitika. Please say I've not wronged you to find Nathaniel" she murmered raising her head toward the skies, "Istas. Do take care of my youngest for Tansy can take care of herself. Keep her safe, away from harm, till the stars do sing of my return."
She stepped forward realizing her daydreaming had caused the sun to sink within the horizon, leaving but a faint pinkish glow to kiss the tips of the mountains. Sniffing the air she felt the coldness creeping along as a predator stalks its prey. The only thing she could ponder currently was shelter, for even coming spring days held no night of the same. Though a bit warmer she felt the same chill as days gone by. Nothing of her homeland flourished here with rainbow falls and sweet grasses. Though green and full of coming life the grasses were still course and harsh on a hungry mare's stomach.
Whickering she headed onward seeking shelter, never realizing this very area would be a memory set in motion. Things came and they went, but life in itself was timeless depending how you sculpted it.

Upon the horizon the sun had finally rested for the evening flickering lightly before his great form faded completely into the veil of night. The darkness found a little flutter mare struggling to find shelter incase of rain or snow she was usually accustomed to these days. Snorting with a weave of her head she noticed a birth of pines thickly nestled within one another.
Smiling the flutter dipped by the ocean current in color peeked her head in the cove of trees to see if it was perchance occupied, which could be a home to a predator or perhaps a fellow Soquili. Taking a few steps inward she sniffed the air once more evaluating for any signs of leakage if the rain were to fall as the scent in the wind precieved unto her.
Lowering her head she nosed the soft nettles about and whickered satisfied they'd make a good nesting material and wouldn't poke her sides everytime she shifted in her sleep. A simple swish of her tail caused the little mare to smile as her translucent wings fluttered off and on in faded shimmery blues and greens.
Finding a decent spot she once again nosed the nettles into a suitable pile retrieving ones that could potentially make her uncomfortable. Perking her ears to a rabbit scampering by she smiled feeling not so alone.
"Istas you used to scamper like that before bedtime. I wonder what you're doing at this very moment" she said softly while her legs folded neatly as she lay finally upon the soft bedding she'd chosen. Tomorrow Saissis would continue her search, but for now sleep called to her as the waves rock upon the wide vast ocean. Constantly flowing back and forth the sound of tranquility filled the air around her as eyes lidded heavily. Soon ther world became nothing but the ocean's song as the flutter finally found much needed slumber she so very much desired.

As the chirp of a morning songbird trilled in the morning air, the day broke way to the scent of a fresh rain that lingered upon the dew kissed plants. Ears swiveling to each sound, the little blue mare opened her eyes slowly letting them flutter in time with her own two freshly woken wings. Yawning she stretched with a flick of her tail letting her head move around more, causing the shimmering beads to cling like a little bell. The day was already swelling with promise as the air had such a sweet smell upon it.
When finally standing she loted her location deciding to reside in this area a bit. It wasn't every day you found something so accomidating in such a short notice, that it was a welcome gift from whomever created it. With a smile she decided to explore and see what was missed upon the eve of the setting sun.
To her amusement chittering sqirrels were foraging for nuts and bickering all the while. Little fists shaking at one another in a taunt to one another. Then to her right a sparrow flitted one way as a cardinal the other. Both chirping their little songs as the brown chested contrasted with the deep scarlet nearby. Pretty soon the area that would be her temporary niche was litterally teaming with life. With a smile she stepped furtrher out admiring the view with a gasp inhaling into her lungs. Before the mare lie a lake of medium size that sparkled as blue as the sky. Its shimmering surface caused the flutter's smile to widen for it reminded her so much of home itself.
Within its depth she noted the fish leaping literally toward the skies and waterfowl scurrying across the surface.
"What a most beautiful place" she sighed with a flick of her long satin tail. Indeed she would rest and strive to quest later. For now the subject of a drink was coming into her mind.

As the little flutter mare made her way around these beautiful surroundings she sighed contentedly feeling at ease and safe in this wondrous place. Nothing had seemed all the more worthwhile, and probably would have driven her into flight once more if a threat so happened to rear its ugly head against the situation. She simply seized the moment to finally not have any worries or complaints from something being way off or suspicious.
While taking her time, Saissis noticed something nestled within the grass a little ways off from where she was standing. A peculiar notion nudged at her subconscious causing the flutter to investigate. Her senses were basically screaming that something was in need of attention, for any mother could recognize the smell and know when a child was abandoned. Trotting over toward the small woven basket she noted that it was safe from and creatures seeking forage of the meat-eating kind. Pale in color it sat trimmed with greens, oranges, and some yellows finally being detailed with a strange sun-like tattoo. In all it was quite striking which perked the little mare’s interest even more. Sniffing around she noted that a tribesman had been here not too long ago yet the scent was fairly faint, meaning that quite possibly this child may have been abandoned or the mother had simply disappeared. Either way the basket wasn’t in any remote danger yet it could be. So with an open perspective Saissis decided to use all her strength to pull this little one back into the safety of the clearing she’d found the night beforehand.
Reaching downward she grasped the basket with her teeth and began to pull with all her might. Each step drove the little mare to be more protective over this little charge. Something was strangely familiar about the scent and lightness the basket presented to her as she yanked gently on the handles. If the child were indeed abandoned, it would need the attention of a loving mother. Saissis decided firmly that this was her own right and duty to take charge of the situation. So with an open mind and finally an hour later she lied nestled around this new charge whickering and speaking softly as she had done with her own children. It had been an exhausting endeavor but well worth the entire haul to be with something so precious. Now and then a tiny squeak responded back toward the mare which alerted her to the relief the child was content and safe in her native made womb.

Minutes were turning to hours, then hours to days, as the little mare comforted the basket with its precious cargo. She barely ate much if her vigil was straying to far from the foal. She was dedicated mother with her own brood and marked her own promise of doing so with this one. There seemed to be something familiar for some reason drawing her curiousity outward in protection.
She'd raise the foal as her own, even Nathaniel wouldn't deprive her of that motive.
So she waited day after day for this little arrival, sleeping off and on, then eating when it was needed. Sincere dedication was her only desire to protect that child at all costs. Even if it took an eternity she'd follow through, for her own emotions guided her to do so.

Days passed with no sign of the little one yet it made motions and signs to being well and thriving. Till one fair day in the ending weeks of May, the little one made her startling arrival.
Saissis was resting near the basket when it moved quite suddenly causing the flutter mare to arouse on all fours protectively. With each movement the mare's eyes widened intensly.
Now this little wonder would reviel itself to the awaiting parent.
Saissis nudged the basket feeling about for a latch or something keeping it sealed. Nosing about she found a string and began to pull with grunts and whickers. All the more while she was tugging on the string the foal was pushing upward.
Finally after much tiresome work the lid popped open and there moving about was the most beautiful flutter filly Saissis had ever lied her gaze upon. Marked with her own symbols of the sun this little one had unique hair with strange things set with in it. The wings Saissis noted were set in threes peeling outward like a tiny flower transparent and remarkably beautiful. Indeed she felt proud, as any mother should, to raise something set like this little gemstone. Once she was able to fly Saissis would return home to her own family along with this little one.
Eyes wide as saucers the little one looked around at this new world. Flitting her rather large new wings they felt sticky and a bit heavy. She stood once but faltered miserably releasing a little grunt.
Saissis smiled and nosed her own self to nudge the little one to stand.
The foal tried again with the mare's help flexing her little muscles and determination. Grunting she forced herself with such a task then accomplished it with no faults. She felt a bit inbalanced but yet her heart was feeling something, the other was warm and helpful. Was this her mother she wondered. Piping a squeak the baby smiled at saissis with a tilt of the head.
Saissis whickered back stepping forward to touch her muzzle upon the baby flutter.
The little one nosed upward meeting back with as much love as she could muster.
Saissis blowing out softly smiled and nodded, "Welcome little one. I shall be your mother from now on" she murmured with a motherly lick upon the foal's cheek, "And I shall call you Feena."
Feena blinked and smiled with bright eyes. She liked that name and her mommy was very pretty indeed.
And so the new day started with a mother and a daughter, a bonding forming from the moment the two truly touched. Endless and forever things would go on.

Day were moving onto weeks as the tiny flutter was now able to trample outward over the land in full force. Her questions came as fast as some of the rain storms and never stopped till her eyes drooped. If a bug were to skitter by, she'd follow wondering where it was headed. A pebble shining in the nearby stream gained even more curiousity. All in a day's wonderful sorts for piquing the curiousity of a tiny adventourous little flutter.
Saissis in turn took her own duities answering questions and keeping a sharp vigil over Feena's curious moments. Fast as lightning she'd zip here and there, then stop short as fast as she started. Hooves turning this way and that, needless to say mom got her excercise. But not once did she ever regret taking on this bundle of energy.
One night Feena was trying her little wings out, and somehow got herself a bit in the air following a butterfly.
Saissis powered her own little long legs after the baby in fear something bad could happen in such impulses. There seemed to be a storm approaching and her charge was airborne. What a predicament. So she hopped into the air as the wind rustled past her to gain speed needed to catch her flutter child before she blew away.
Feena kicked her legs swiftly but swirled in the air as the thuder crashed above her. There was no control as she spiraled this way and that.
"Mama.... Maaaaaaama" she called out with panic as her body spun this way and that the the gusts with rain. She was scared, so very scared as the world rained blackness around her flailing little hooves.
Saissis pulled herself inward, lunging out to grab Feena's tail if she could. Her heart was beating frantically as the rain poured on both of them. Nothing but torrents of blackness pummeled from all around.
Feena squealed and pushed herself toward her mother eyes frantic with so much fear.
Saissis lunged again this time grasping the tail and yanking with a determined fury. Gaining her senses she noted the clearing in the wood and dived toward it avoiding lightning crashes and flying debri. Swoppwing in with her little wings working so fast, she skidded into the dry darkness still clutching Feena's tail in her mouth. When atlast there was no rain nor wind she released the foal's tail.
"Feena... never take off like that near the brink of a storm. What if I wasn't there to catch you?" she scolded gently licking the wetness from Feena's soggy coat.
Feena lied there shivering horriby, her little legs still shaking from loosing control.
"Mama... I'm sorry. I won't ever do that again" she sobbed nestling up close to her mother's wet yet warm side. Looking outward at the storm she shivered. Then burying her head her eyes drifted heavily then closed to silence and her mother's beating heart.
Saissis in turn washed Feena of the dampness and lied her head over the sleeping filly. Such a gentle creature she was yet not as frail as one would think.

As the days grew longer in this paradise, Feena grew stronger with each breath she took. Her wings grew outward as did her confidence in flight as she tumbled on the first few tries. But each attempt, each shining moment she tried her heart enlightened even more stunning than before.
When at last she finally soared to those clouds she gave a cry of joy. Saissis had been her guide, her mentor, and mostly her mother though those days she had opened her eyes unto the world. Now stretching those legs and kicking outward she skittered around the larger mare that closely followed after.
Saissis watched Feena carefully yet knew this was her time, her glory in becoming her individual self she'd grow into someday. Time was fickle when you wanted it to last just a little longer, but in retrospect it waited for no one. Time was is own being and did as he pleased under that soft caress of his mother Eternity. Soon they'd return to the welcoming lands of her now known homeland. But at what price was it to mourn your time away from a mate you loved so dearly.
Her heart ached, she wouldn't deny that with anything. She missed him with all she could muster. Why he had taken off with her son was beyond query, for he was a free spirit. But she longed for a simple response, a glimmering hope he'd come by this way. Maybe it was a frivolus desire but she willed it. She wanted nothing more than to flit her own wings by his side.
"Oh my dearest love, where are though in that great big world. Have you forsaken me and my daughters to ponder in hopeless query that you will come back to us?"
Feena in the meantime was zipping back and forth so playfully she never saw her mother's silent tears. Zooming this way and then she was so entranced tranced that the whole world below her sparkled like a shining diamond.

Much time had past, nearly ages seemed to have gone by, but in what little time was a few months, Nathaniel and his son Cheveyo had wandered their way back through some nearby woods. It had been a while, and Cheveyo was still very little when they had first left on their journey. Nathaniel looked around as he stepped towards a clearing, he had forgotten how long he had been gone but there was much he had to do with Cheveyo.
"I don't think your mom will even recognize you, " Nathaniel said turning his head to Cheveyo.
" I haven't seen her or my sister practically since I was born so I don't expect to be recognized," he spoke back to him, looking much like a combination of his mother and father, having his mother's body tone while havign his father's hair, " Do you think she'll understand having been gone so long."
Nathaniel turned back towards Cheveyo, "There's alot you had to be taught, and I did as much as I could to raise you to the best of my ability."

((Remember luff this isn't back home, more so a distant land where she found Feena))
The young foal was bored as she galloped about the glistening stands of grass still containing pockets of dew within them. It felt really funny as the water clings to your feathering as you played in the long emerald grasses. She sneezed whirling around in a circle and pausing. Giggling she stuck her head into the grass and retrieved something.
Saissis was grazing nearby as her eyes kept a good vigil on the spunky little adventurer in her conquest to find things she called 'treasure'. The sun was rising slowly yet it laid itself upon the world beneath it. A string of light that spread outward filling the world with warmth. She smiled at the foal raising her head higher to obtain information to what Feena had found.
Feena giggled once more raising her head upward with something in her mouth. It appeared to be a feather strand with various little jewels molded onto a piece of cloth. She tossed it about in her mouth then hollered over to Saissis, "Look mama. I found a treasure. Can I keep it?".
Saissis smiled with a swish of her tail, "Why yes you have Feena. And.." she paused scenting two stallions in the distance (somehow familiar, yet faint), "I don't see why not." Her ears swiveled towards the scent she'd caught onto. Why were they so familiar she wondered deeply.

Cheveyo looked around for a bit. He checked all sides, then looked back up to his father.
Nathaniel looked back down towards his son in curiosity as he's never seen his son act like this. "What is it Cheveyo," He asked him.
Cheveyo leaned into his father, blushing a bit in embarrassment and said in a hushed tone, "Daaad...I reeeeaaally need to peee."
Nathaniel craned his head back a small bit then laughed at his son. "You could've always gone, that's not exactly something i really needed to know. I know we've been moving for a while since our last stop so I guess now is a good time to stop. So, go get a move on, I will wait here.
Cheveyo ran off into some near by brush leaving Nathaniel alone for a moment.
After his son left his he stood quietly, observing the area. He heard nearby sounds, but couldn't figure out how far away they were. He chose not to explore it till Cheveyo got back, but something seemed familiar to him. He couldn't quite place it but it was familiar.

Feena looked up at her mother perplexed as if Saissis was sensing something odd or familiar. Either way the flutter mare's attention was transfixed on something in the near distance.
Saissis stayed locked upon that direction breathing in and out with a solid stature, not moving, not speaking as her ears were the only thing besides the long silken river behind her flicking back and forth.
Feena was about to speak but felt the need for something drastic. Taking off at full speed she flew toward this something that had grabbed Saissis attention so forcefully. She'd be the one to find it and show her mother it was alright. Fluttering her wings she took to the sky and headed toward the two stallions she couldn't yet see or hear.
Saissis was nearly dumbstruck noticing Feena bolt around her as fast as she did. A tiny little filly flying into the great unknown, throwing caution indirectly toward the passing wind. The scent was faint yet familiar, but that didn't mean a child should pursue what wasn't understood.
Pulling herself to reality she stumbled in her own chase, then took off full stream after Feena. Her own wings powering her to catch the little bug as it zipped and zagged toward an undirected course. What if it was a kalona, skin walker, or something even worse? She may of not been the foal's true birth mother, but she was her guardian; a protector to keep her from harm.
