Background: Lilium had a relitavely easy childhood, living in a nice little cottage with her parents and her older brother Iceris. Always the best of friends, Lilium and Iceris spent nearly every waking moment together, which was made easier by the fact that they were homeschooled. When Iceris was nineteen, Lilium sixteen at the time, Iceris went off to travel the world, leaving a rather heart broken sister at home. Though she soon got used to it, as she frequently received letters from her dear older brother which told her of his many travels. She kepts the letters and now has a rather handsome collection, each and every one in perfect condition. She would read them over and over again if she missed her brother or had not received a new one.
When she was finally old enough to travel her brother sent her a letter asking her to come traveling with him. Sadly she declined, saying that travel was not something she believed she was ready to do. Her brother agreed, but every once and a while he'll ask her to reconsider. So far her answer has always been the same.

Background: She doesn't know if she has parents, she doesn't know if she has siblings. All she knows is that she's a black dragon female.
Before coming to live in the Tower she had moved from place to place, engaging in fights with others of her species that she could find. She cannot remember ever being defeated, and she had felt very good about herself after the defeat of the Golden Dragon twins Arzarok and Minershad.
Though, soon after arriving here, she managed to get into a match with Greed and woke up later in the Tower's infirmary. She had lost, horribly, with an almost endless supply of injuries that needed to heal. There she met Envy and, after regaining the memory of her defeat she now plans on a near quick recovery and then going off to train.

Background: Truly a child from stranger circumstances.

It all started with his mother and her first husband; two young adults who became victims of a erranged marraige of two wealthy families. One was a cronic alchololic, the other was a full time flirt; a match that was never made to last.
Soon after the marriage her husband ran off with another woman, leaving her along, drunk, and pregnant. Her child, a little girl, was delivered a few months later, a still born. Heart broken because of the loss of the daughter she had always dreamed off she fell into a deep depression, only getting out when her mother signed her out.
She then began to flirt in an almost obsessive manner, talking home any man she saw attractive. They never stayed long, but soon she was pregnant again. Back in the same hospital she gave birth to another baby girl who was, this time, alive, though sickly from her mother's drinking. She died on the day she was to go home with her new mother.
Her drinking, and scandulous affairs with men, became worse as time went on, and soon she forgot that she even wanted a baby. She married multiple times, always ending in divorce a few days later. Somehow she found herself pregnant again. Instantly she stopped drinking, doing everything in her power to keep her baby safe. When the time finally came she had the baby in her own mansion like home, believing that the hospital was to blame for the death of her first two babies.
Few knew what happened a few days after that night, but suddenly she was the mother of a health baby girl, named Engel. The truth was is that she didn't have a healthy baby girl. Instead she was gifted with a boy, but with her mind so broken and twisted she did not believe that she was capable of having a boy. So with a lot of money, and multiple threats, she made everyone that counted believe that Engel had indeed been born female, even having documents made stating the fact.
Engel, raised as a girl by a over protective and drunken mother, has no idea that he is male and is left oblivious of things that boys his age, and girls too, would already be asking questions about.

Background: Junko lived a carefree, happy life with her sister and her parents in France for most of her still relatively short life. She worked hard to live up to her given name, Junko, which meant 'pure child', always trying to make people happy and to give off the air of being 'pure'. Whenever something was there to threaten that purity, however, she was always protected by her elder sister Hiroko. In this way she used her sister as a shield, helping herself stay pure with the protection of her sister.
She moved to America when Hiroko did, not understanding why she was leaving or why her parents had only tried to stop her from leaving, as if they didn't care about Hiroko at all. She constantly lives under the dillusion that Hiroko will eventually want to move back to France and that when they get there everything would be as it was before the week before they left.

Background: Hiroko lived happily with her parents for the few years that she was an only child, though something changed when her mother had her younger sister Junko. With all the fuss over the new baby Hiroko was nearly forgotten, and by the time Junko was growing up Hiroko had been given the job of protecting her. Though their days as children Hiroko was constantly with Junko, making sure that nothing ever harmed her nor hurt her innocent nature.
At the age of seventeen she seemed to realise that no matter what everyone saw her ownly as Hiroko, the elder sister of Junko, the pure child. She lost her happy behavior then, becoming almost flippant in her ways. Though she did lover her sister, and she did continue to protect Junko, it seemed that Hiroko had almost grown tired of her 'duties'. She even went so far as to tell her parents this once, which started the arguement that caused Junko, then nineteen, to move to America. Surprisingly, when she told Junko she was leaving, Junko asked to go. Not one to say no to her sister she agreed, and both the sisters moved off to America. Though Hiroko, unlike Junko hoped, had no thoughts about going back home ever again after the heated arguement that they had had that first night and many nights after that.
