Okay, there's been a lot of negativity on the English dubs of the Gundam series, but I find them okay, considering I became a fan watching those versions. true, I've seen the Jap. dubbed versions with subtitles and said "awesome", but I still find Enlgish just as good. Also, while doing some digging I came across somthing startling yet amazing.
The voice actor for Amuro Ray (Mobile Suit Gundam) and Quattre Rabada Winner (Gundam Wing) is one in the same: Brad Swaile eek
Hell... even I didn't know this.... He also does voice acting in Gundam SEED! eek eek
Still.... Rey Za Burrel's VA (Kirby Morrow) is my favorite VA. Second is Brad.

Hmm what to say? I agree that Gundam dubs are not THAT bad in comparison to other English dubs of anime, like.. Naruto, but I do prefer the Japanese version with English subtitles by far. No offense but I thought Gundam Seed dubbing was... well... let's say "sub-par" but of course I respect that everyone likes anime in different ways. Glad I could voice my opinion mrgreen

I am totally indifferent. I like them both about the same. With gundam animes at least.

Well truthfully I will take any anime I can get my hands on. Some Japanese voice actors are better in capturing the essence of that person...others are flat out annoying. Some Enlish is better than others, some just dont seem to fit at all or the word choice isnt the best.

I have recently watched Gundam Wing again - this time in the original Japanese - Heero, Zechs, and DUo are better in English - Dorothy and Releena are better in Japanese

Well they use alot of girl voices for all types of characters, even for guys. And it mostly works for the hyper guys but it hardly works that much.

I noticed how alot of voice actors reappear in English dubbed anime. I must have seen Kirby Morrowin about 4 other animes I've seen, from .hack/roots to Escaflowne the Movie and Inuyasha, Gundam Wing, and Gundam SEED Destiny...

I have heard the actor who does "Vash" play as a number of different characters on different shows

Well Johnny Young Bosch, who plays Vash, also plays Ichigo Kurosaki on Bleach and Renton on Eureka 7.

Yeah well after watching tons of shows you begin to notice familiar voices. Like I can tell that some of the Inuyasha voice actors where used in Gundam Seed.

Yeah those voice actors are hard to miss. Like the Voice actor of the English Kakashi just browzing when my sis watches saterday cartoons you can hear him make different apperances.

Well they probally used a girl to get closer to the way he acts rather than how he should sound.
