kinda just reminded me of how cheesy the show was/is(?)

You really have brought back a bunch of memories. Just in time for Diamond and Pearl, no less.

These days, watching Pokemon is like watching the Power Rangers.
Not only because of the fact that they changed all of the voices of the main cast and re-appearing side characters but it's overall effect has died.

But God knows, I'm still in love with the real Pokemon games.

I did too actually. sweatdrop My poor parents (whom I dragged along) actually fell asleep. Or at least my dad did.

Personally
after the episode where Ash's Charmander evolved into his second thingie, thats when the 2nd generation of pokemon came out (we got new ones) and thats where I was starting to lose intrest, but I watched the show to the point where *thinks hard*...

to where..I THINK I last left off where Ash had finished the tourny around his area and found out that new pokemon and islands were out there

thats where I said "******** it" and stopped

Either way, I ALWAYS liked Digimon a LOT more

Damn straight! Which version are you getting, Nter?? Do you have a team that you're going to be importing from Ruby/Sapphire? So far the only Pokemon I have ready to send over is an Aggron... I want my Blastoise crying .




I enjoyed that battle as well, but as mentioned before, the fact that each attack only took one hit to KO the opposing Pokemon was ridiculous. (Well, except maybe in Donphan's case, since it's a ground-type and Bulbasaur used a STAB'd Solarbeam... so that'd do 2.5 times the regular damage). I lol'd at the fact that Thunderbolt even affected Golem.

And I knew Donphan too! whee I had read about it in Nintendo Power.

@Neo: I had to drag my mother along. She was sorely confused afterwards and wondered why Ash had "That crazy dragon thing". She laughed at the scene where Pikachu's clone was bitchslapping it though.

@NiGHTS and Jace: I also watched the Digimon anime and really enjoyed it, but after the first set of Digi-destined (which I assume means the first and possibly second seasons) the show fell completely apart and just sucked a**.

While I think about the innacuracies of the Pokemon anime, has anyone ever heard of Ash's "Thunder Armour" tactic?

Already pre-ordered Diamond, I'm thinking about Pearl because I want a Houndoom.

I have a couple of Pokemon in mind but none in particular. My Aggron and Bagon are definitely going.

I was in love with Digimon from start to finish, the fourth season got really confusing towards the end though. I'm still fanboyishly waiting for the fifth season. I also saw the Digimon movie, loved the art style.

Same here. I thought it was really cool the cards actually effected the digimon. But when the next bunch of kids (in season 4 I think) started to become digimon, that's when I stopped watching. It wasn't the same without digimon partners.
