Alright so basically here's the idea. Ancients are those who once traveled the earth settling the mako correct? Well Summoners once traveled the earth making sure the farplane spirits were kept as spirits and not turned into monsters. In FFX-2 a boy aboard the airship states that he has found some energy source within the farplane called Mako. That ties their entire storyline up to about the time that Shinra inc. would be created. Could it not be possible that Yuna, the strongest summoner there ever was, gave birth to a family line which eventually gave birth to Infalna, and then Aeris? It would make sense would it not?

I forgot to mention that the boy's name was actually "Shinra" as well x_x

Hallelujiah I forgot to mention that the boy's name was actually "Shinra" as well x_x some of FFX's cities exist in FFVII as well, though the only one I can recall was a ruin of some sort...I think

Also something else, it isn't exactly related to Aeris but I found it ironic. After the summoner defeats Sin there's a brief period of peace called "calm" and after AVALANCHE defeats Sephiroth Cloud and Tifa move to a town called "kalm" =P

Hallelujiah Also something else, it isn't exactly related to Aeris but I found it ironic. After the summoner defeats Sin there's a brief period of peace called "calm" and after AVALANCHE defeats Sephiroth Cloud and Tifa move to a town called "kalm" =P Cloud don't deserve Tifa sad He's angsty and tries his hand at all the chicks of the group...he can h ave Vincent, though. They can brood themselves a black hole razz

I don't know about you crazy 'mericans. And they would be. Both of them are basically cold, constant whiners, and kinda hot... Not so much as the two girls in question, but... razz

Oh and I didn't mean the Cloud/Vincent thing I meant the Aeris being Yuna's great great great great great grandaughter thing. heh, well, last I checked the timeline went, like, X, X-2, V...um...I really forget from there, but soon after X-2 was VII. They are all, or mostly, on the same planet, just a long time apart. 1 was one of the first ones, though...

Well, Square-Enix enjoys to reuse names for things, such as Cid being in almost all of them, aeons/quickenings/whatever are reused (which may mean they are on the same planet) and the airships in FFXII have the names of them. The names are really the only thing that connects the games storylines...
Though I agree, the theory you have on FFVII being connected to FFX/-2 is quite good, and needs to be thoroughly examined in every way possible before we can know for sure.
Or we just e-mail Square-Enix and ask, though I doubt they would reveal such information.

I must say that yuor theory could be very well true.Myself being an Aeris since I was a kid or when the game first came out..I forget...I have been looking for connections between the games & they do seem to all be connected to another.While the only Final Fantsy games I own are FFI,FFIV for the game boy & FFVII I have been trying to found out as much as i can about the seris.

Well, the connection between FFVII and X is actually a theory Nomura "confirmed"...or was it Kitase that confirmed it? Either way, they think that there is a connection. I forgot where I found this info though....it was an interview I think.
