A pair of yellow eyes blinked out at the world from the top of a rocky outcropping in the savanah, a mournful expression on the face of their owner. A small blue cub, barely old enough to be out and about at his mother's side, gazed out of the waving grass, searching for a similar blue and purple form.
Ryuuko, his name meaning 'dragon child', waited for his mother to return to him and tried not to think about the gnawing ache in his belly. He was barely weaned from milk, and would have had quite a bit yet before he would have eaten meat alone. He depended on his mother... but it had been two full days since he'd last seen her. She'd gone hunting, like she tended to do, leaving him curled up safely in a hallow under the rocks. Last night had been torture for the cub... darkness everywhere and strange sounds coming from outside the small den. He'd been paralized with fear, unwilling to do anything that might draw a predator to his location.
With the sun up, though, he'd come out to sit and look for his mother, his heart aching at being so long parted from her.

 As Demani woke up he smiled and looked at the sun ! It was blazing ! The little lion was very hot and could not feel anything exept the heat .
At the sun he noticed a small shady figure . The figure was far away from him so the cub made some steps forward to see the figure better . And yes , he saw it . It was a little blue cub . Demani yawned "Heeey ! Hello ! " . Then he ran to the cub with a big smile on his face . " Hi ! My name's Demani!"

Bright eyes blinked as a voice called out nearby, and Ryuuko rose to his paws to turn and scan the area.
"Hello?" He called out, hope fluttering in his small chest. There was someone out there! He wasn't alone anymore! And maybe, just maybe, they might have seen his mother, and know where she is!
"Hello." The cub that met his eyes was about the same age as him, but of a much different color. He'd never seen such a color on a lion before, but then... he had little experience beyond his mother, and she looked like him. "I'm Ryuuko. Um... what are you doing out here? Where's your parents?"

Demani's eyes got full with tears and he was almost ready to cry when he desided to answer " I kinda don't know them . I guess I don't have parents ." The little cub looked at his dark green body and recodnised that he hadn't seen a lion with that colour too and he didn't know how could his parents look like .

Ryu tilted his head curiously as he blinked wide-eyed at the other cub.
"Oh, I'm sorry! Please don't cry!" He called out, bouncing down from the rocks to land next to the other. "Its okay... don't cry..." He said, struggling to keep the tears out of his own yellow eyes. If this cub started crying, it was for sure that Ryu would too.
"I don't know my Daddy either, so don't feel bad. How come you don't know your mommy though? I know my mommy... she's hunting, she'll be back soon... Maybe she can help you find your mommy, would that make you feel better?" Poor little Ryu couldn't stand to see the other cub so upset.
"Hey, what's your name? I'm Ryuuko, remember?"
