Kiyoshi paced back and forth, only one of her eggs had hatched. She hadn't seen Calamity for awhile, and didn't know what was going on. Things had changed, and she knew it. She'd left Nyght by himself hidden asleep in her cave while she went to get some fresh air.
She knew he'd be ok, she'd done this many times, and with Indivar there watching over him she felt better. She hadn't seen Indivar's sister either. This were slowly falling apart.
She stopped and took a deep breath. It felt relaxing to get out. She smiled at the night sky. Stars sparkling above. Crickets could be heard for a mile, and owls hooted in the trees. She thought alittle on the last incounter she had with Kore. What was going on between them? Were they still friends? Or did she blow it? She shook her head, it wasn't time to think about that right now.

Kore had left Heliacle with the boys and their eggs. They had been long in the shell but she was sure that the recent rocking was a good sign. In the meantime, it was nice to get out and stretch her wings. It was like the dusk flying against the night sky. Her gold flecks highlighted by the silver moonlight.
Night was always her favorite time. So many memories with Heliacle and Elathan and even Kiyo. Kore almost faltered at that thought... What had happened to her closest friend since they last spoke?

Kiyoshi couldn't see well, but she spotted something in the sky. It was too big to be a bird. Perhaps another Hippogriff. It'd been long since she ran into one, apart from Nyght and Indivar. She wasn't sure if the griff was black, or close to black.
She had only noticed the movements in the sky. Being in an open field made it easy for her to see the sky. Normally she hid in the trees, but she wanted to see the stars tonight. They made her calm. She watched the black figure in the sky for a second, still debating to herself weather it was a black hippogriff or not.

Kore followed the updrafts and currents of air. It made flying so much easier and she could go further away. Chirping happily to herself, Kore gave a cry of pure happiness.
Soon, she would be a mother. Elathan would grow into an adult and all would be right in her world. Until Elathan left... But that was a thought for another time. Kore began to do lazy loops and swirls in the sky.

Kiyoshi's curiousity was overwelming her. Watching the other fly in loops gave her an urge to fly. Too long, had it been since the last time she flew, her wings were starting to get restless.
Spreading her long wings out, she figured it would be best to take a little flight to investigate. It took three hard flaps before she actually left the ground, plus more fearious ones to make her raise. She giggled to her self and started to fly towards the other.
Not doing flips, or anything. She made some chirping noises to not scare the other, though, she was still too far to actually notice who it was.

Kore chirped back at the dark one against the sky. She knew it to be another of her kind but never was she the social creature. Smiling, her thoughts went to her love, Heliacle and of how they met. No one had her heart like Heliacle did...

At getting closer, Kiyoshi flew in a sideways loop. Showing her white head, tail, and wing feathers agents the moon light. Still very hard to see that she was blue. Though, she did blend with the night sky quite well.
She chirped back again. Getting closer she could sleep dark orange on her head, wings, and tail. Only one Hippogriff had orange, that she's ran into. "Kore?" She said to herself, yet loud enough for the other too hear. Still flying around but a little slower, trying to get a good look at the other.
She did a circle around the other, and another sideways loop. Ahh... It felt so nice to fly like this. Turning aback around she flew back towards the other. Not as a threat, but more of curiousity.

Kore did lazy swirls as the other looped about with curiosity. Her wings took long pumps as she swept the sky. She trilled her happiness at being free from the nest and free underneath the stars. There was not one memory that was not connected to her Heliacle or to another...
"Kiyoshi," she said quietly to herself.

Kiyoshi flew closer as to get a better look, it was indeed her old friend. Though, the past few incounters hadn't been good, perhaps this one would be. She flew over the other chirping happily stil.
"Kore, is that you?" She said keeping her attention on the other and what was infront of her. The wind moved fastly past them, though, their ears were ment to be able to hear in the wind.

"That it is, just as I assumed it was you, Kiyo." Kore replied in her usual calm voice. She kept her strokes even and tried to get close to Kiyo. Perhaps the star filled night would finally bring some sort of closure to the hurt that was in their friendship.

She flew a steady pace along side the other. "Of course." she said with a chirp. She still hadn't met anyone like herself, or anyone like Kore. Though, Kiyoshi's son Nyght was similar, though only half the colors she was.
Flying made her more calm then she would have if she was on the ground, only because this was the first flight she had in who knows how long. Leaving her two adobtive children watching her two unhatched eggs, and Nyght. She hadn't seen Calamity for a while and wondered where he went off to.

Kore was thirsty now. The stream that ran through the valley was visible from the air. How many adventures had she had there? Good times with the few friends she had... She shook her royal purple plummage at the thought. Kore still had friends, she hoped.
"I'm thirsty. Take a break?"

Kiyoshi nodded and flew down towards the stream. She too, was getting thirsty from the wind entering her mouth every time she went to cherp. She landed gracefully a few feet from the stream and waited for Kore.
It had been a while. Too long, since they fought. Now thinking it was a stupid reason to fight about. Kore had other thing to do in life, and it made Kiyoshi feel like she had been very selfish. Which she had.
