couple minutes later it would say "Please reconnect controller" so I thought it was just bad batteries I put in it so I got a new batch of batteries, same thing. I must have tried atleast eight different batteries all of which were new. I tried the other controller and same thing. Every 5 minutes it would say please reconnect controller. It was funny sometimes because sometimes it would only die if I did certain things like died, go to the menu, or jump. Then I noticed my headset was dying, it would just randomly cut out and I'd have to replug it back in.
I'm wondering what happened here and how I can fix it?
I find it odd that both controllers and the headset would die on the same day.
Edit: Now I've also tried to resync it and still nothing.

Did you move the 360 with a game disc in it? That'll mess the system up pretty bad dude.
Also make sure your not sitting to far away from the T.V., the controller can only stretch about 50 ft.

I'm sitting about 10 feet away from the TV and I don't think I moved the 360 with a game in it.

Call mircosoft support team (1-800-4-my-xbox). You might have to send your xbox in for repair.

It seems quite a few people have to send their 360 back...? Luckily it hasn't happened to me so far razz
A good thing to do with wireless controllers for me is pretty simple, I have 2 wireless controllers, i also have that plug 'n' play kit for both the controllers eek The battery pack lasts alot longer than batteries would and if it runs out, just use the other controller and charge up the other pack smile Plus it doesn't take that long to charge atall, i've never really times it, but is it about 2 hours or something like that... question Someone can correct me if they know the proper charge up time? neutral

If you've tried changing distance from the system, replacing batteries or using a better brand, and syncing it, I can't say much. It could be defective.
I was using the plug and play kit for a while, which has it's own battery pack, but I got a bunch of batteries and decided to use them. I switched battery packs and the controller started disconnecting a lot. I had to wiggle the battery pack to reconnect it because it was slightly loose. I'm not sure if that was because of the plug and play kit or not, but wiggling the battery pack worked for me. It took a while, but I got it in a good position, and it works without problems now.
