Risika hated going to the grocery store, especially when she was hungry, for she always seemed to buy twice as much stuff whenever she did. She also hated going there because of all the people. She didn't hate people, just crowds, and it was defiantly crowded today. She had the luck to have grabbed a rather defiant shopping cart, which always seemed to want to go left or right rather than straight.

Trent had been sitting quietly in the seat of the cart, watching the people who walked by with little interest. He disliked coming to the grocery store almost as much as his mother, but his reasons weren't the same. He disliked it because it was boring, and it was so bright in there from the lighting. Although he especially hated the refrigerated area for he was never correctly dressed to be comfortable when they happened to go in there.

Kisten, however, loved the freezer area, and would always demand to be let out of the cart basket in order to play with the doors, drawing hearts and smiley faces on the fogged glass. It so happened that they were in such an area, and Kisten had already started to demand to be let out of the cart, for the doors wanted to be drawn on.

Roxy loved the grocery store, or at least she used to love the place. Going there with the girls brought up a whole new series of challenges she had thought were overcome. She had enough to provide for herself, but with Vevina's nature or even worse Dera's it was miracle if she made it out with the essentials anymore. If it wasn't Dera throwing a fit or trying to snatch something, it was Vevina trying to guilt her into buying food for those who REALLY needed it. Apparently the young thule didn't seem to think they really needed food.

Roxy had managed to find a cart made to hold the two and set off nervously hunched over them, she didn't exactly look like any parental figure. If anything it was often Dera and Vevina who were in control easily able to push their gaurdian around and manipulate her emotions. As Roxy turned down the isle filled with frozen goods Dera let out a squeal.

"Roxy! I want popsicles! I want the red ones! Now!" She slammed a little fist against the cart handle narrowly missing crushing her guardians fingers.

"You should say please...and besides you don't even need them Dera, theres lots of people who live without any ice cream for their whole lives!" The cream colored thule flinched as her sister grabbed a fistfull of her feathered wings and tugged. Still it was not in Vevina's nature to cry, fuss, or create any type of scene she simply bit her lip and bore her twin.

"Girls please don't start...were only here for meat, eggs, and milk...if your good you can each have a candybar okay?"

"I want two!" Dera insisted and looked at her guardian threateningly.

"Okay okay...two, but please be quiet now okay?" Roxy looked around flustered and eyed the twin boys on the other side of the isle. Why couldn't she have a nicely behaved pair like that?

" Kisten," Risika sighed, eyeing the child as he stared up at her with puppy eyes from the cart. A soft smile tugged at her lips and she laughed softly, reaching to pick him up from the cart. " Fine, you can go draw on the doors, but you have to grab mommy the things she needs first okay?"

Kisten squealed in delight as Risika picked him up, his long tail flicking in excitement and his purple wings flapping as he tried his best not to take off. He hopped impatiently in place as his hooves connected with the tile, making grabby hands for the list that he would need for this aisle. Risika chuckled before handing him the short list of five items accompanied by a picture of what it looked like.

" Thanks, Mama!" With that Kisten clip clopped down the aisle, searching through the glass doors for the items he would need.

Trent only huffed in boredom, glaring after his hyper brother as he shivered in his hoodie. Why was he so amused by the littlest things? He jumped suddenly when he felt a jacket being wrapped around him, looking up into Risika's smiling face. He blinked a few times in confusion before huffing a thank you and cuddling farther into the jacket for warmth, taking a deep breath of Risika's scent that was in the coat. She didn't smell human, yet looked it, it always confused him.

Apparently Roxy wasn't the only one taking note of the nice looking aduthule pair opposite them in the grocery isle, for Dera's green eyes were suddenly sparkling with the familiar gaze of 'want'.

Dera gazed down a feather she had plucked from her sister and slowly moved to tuck it into her hair, but her eyes were soon riveted on the other thule walking down the isle. He had purple feather, and Dera didn't have any purple feathers for her hair. Instantly the candybar, and popsicle demands were forgotten. She wriggled up and hopped out of the cart much to her guardians dismay.

"Dera! Don't please you'll hurt yourself, you'll get lost, please I'll buy you three candybars if you'll just..." Roxy stopped and watched the little blue thule curiously. It looked as if the little one was going to try and make a friend, thank goodness!

Vevina looked at Roxy uncertainly before climbing out of the cart as well and slowly moving to stand beside her gaurdian. She didn't think for one second that Dera was looking for friendship. Still it would be nice to meet someone new, she slowly moved to follow her sister glancing back at Roxy for permission.

Dera smiled as she slipped up beside Kisten. "You have very pretty feathers..." the little thules fingers twitched with the desire to simply pluck a few and be done with the small talk.

Risika eyed the child who seemed to have taken a place beside Kisten, her eyebrow arching slowly in curiosity, Trent to seemed to watched the girl with rare interest. He watched the girls hands twitch and a pain look crossed his face. He saw what she meant to do. He turned quickly towards Risika who was leaning on the handle bars of the cart, reading over her list while she kept an eye on Kisten.

" Mama...I wanna help Kisten." Risika's eyebrow arched even higher as she set the list down, watching Trent carefully. He NEVER wanted to help Kisten. If anything Trent loved being away from the other boy, even cherished their time alone. Though, there were these rare moments of brotherly 'love.' She smiled, covering her surprise before she hefted Trent up from the cart, setting him gently on the floor. She situated her coat on him so he wouldn't trip on it and patted the top of his head.

" You got it honey." She watched him shuffle over to his brother, wondering what he would have seen to make him willing help his brother.

Kisten was off in another world, hardly even noticing the girl coming up beside him until she spoke to him. He spun on his hooves, grinning brightly as his new visitor. " Hi! I'm Kisten!" He peered back at his wings which he had unknowingly moved from danger for the time being. His grin brightening at the compliment. " Thank you! I like them too! I like your wings though! So pretty and see throughy!"

Kisten's tail flicked behind him excitedly as he grinned at the girl, unaware of the possible 'danger' he was in. He was a very trusting boy you see.

A charming smile crossed Dera's face as she did a little curtsey and twirled around to show off her wings. "I'm Dera! They are pretty aren't they? Still...I've been collecting...feathers...for my hair you see?" She pointed up at her hair the black streaked with dark blue shining mass was piled into a careful bun and tucked into the ornate hairdo were beads, and yellow feathers.

The original owner of the feathers had slipped up behind her sister and given a shy smile at Kisten and Trent. She made a slight bob that could have been a curtsey but remained silent in the shadow of her sister. Vevina wished she had something she could give the boys, there was nothing she liked more then giving presents. She loved to give as much as Dera loved to get, and by the sweet expression on her twins face she was betting that Dera intended to get something from the hooved boy.

Roxy meanwhile had happily turned to get her shopping done thankful that the girls were distracted with the boys. It made things so much easier when they weren't making demands on her. The poor guardian was flustered and ill suited for the job of parenting two such high spirited thules, of course she blamed her cousin who had left her with the twins in the first place. Roxy was ever complacent but when she got hold of her cousin again she had an earful for her.

Kisten watched Dera spin in place, smiling brightly at her. He tilted his head to the side in question as she told him about her collection. She was collecting? But there only seemed to one kind of feather in her hair! Kisten thought you had to have different kinds of something to make it a collection. His eyes slowly fell to Dera's sister, his tail flicking behind him while he thought. Oh! He had foudn where the feathers came form that was for sure, perhaps he could do the same?

Kisten grinned brightly at Dera's sister before turning back to his wings, searching out for a loose feather that he could possibly spare without hurting himself. He quickly found one and with a quick tug it fell loose from his wings. He pet the feather softly, straightening it out before holding it out proudly to Dera. " Here! You can have one of mine! Now its an official collection!"

Trent only glowered from his brother's side, eyeing the girl behind Dera with slight interest. More inhuman child, why did his brother seem to attract such attention? Where were the normal people? He had half a mind to return to his mother, now that his brother's wings seemed to be out of danger. Now don't get Trent wrong, he could care less about the trouble that Kisten got himself into. But it was the fit he had seen that he had wanted to prevent, but it seemed his brother was out of the woods, for now.

Nevertheless, the pale boy stayed put, stuffing his hands into the pouch of his hoodie while he watched his brother hold out his feather to Dera. He sighed softly, eyes rolling. Why was Kisten so friendly to strangers?

Dera grinned, her eyes sparkled with glee as Kisten offered her the feather. She took it from him carefully and examined it with an assessing emerald gaze. "Perfect!" She declared and promptly slid the feather neatly into her upswept hair. The purple stood out a bright contrast against the soft creamy color of Vevina's feathers.

Vevina meanwhile had moved slightly closer and was nervously playing with a strand of her own light blue hair. She gave Kisten and Trent both shy smiles and remained silent behind her sister.

Dera made another little spin and curtsied infront of Kisten ignoring her sister for the moment far to absorbed in her own delight. "Well? Doesn't it look wonderful? Perfect even?" She smiled and waited for a compliment.

Kisten beamed as he saw how much Dera loved his gift. It made him happy that someone, besides his mother, liked his feather's so much. He was only used to seeing Trent glaring at them angrily.
" It looks nice! Very bright now and pretty. Now its a collection." he couldn't help but correct her.

Trent watched the other girl silently, his usual glare in place upon his face. He was tired of listening to Kisten go on about how nice his feather made the blue girl's hair look, so he figured he would talk with the girl who seemed to be the most sane person here. Aside from himself of course.

" Your sister is very, loud. Similar to Kisten."
He didnt worry about the two in question over hearing, they seemed to be too into themselves to care what he said. " Why are you guys here?"

Kisten giggled at Dera, nodding in agreement, " Looks wonderful!" He hastily bowed when Dera curtsied, not too sure what else to do.

Dera was beaming with pleasure, often she had to wrangle compliments from her tight lipped sister. Her guardian gushed over her, but Dera needed more praise then any one person could give to stroke her little/large ego. Vevina meanwhile turned to focus on Trent and stared at him when he asked his question. For a moment Vevina's look was one of almost censure, after all what else did people got to the market for?

"Were here to buy groceries, like you?" She gave a soft wry smile and nodded. "Dera doesn't mean to be loud, she just is..." stated the cream colored thule in defense of her sibling.

"Thank You for helping me with my collection then, now that it is one!" Dera clapped softly her wings fluttering as Kisten bowed. The young thule was excited to meet another, one who complimented her especially. Anyone she could get something out off was instantly appreciated.

Trent eyed Vevina with an arched brow. Was that why his brother, guardian and himself were here? To buy 'groceries'? He had figured it was just to stand in overly lighted aisles pushing a metal cart around and dealing with crowds.
" Don't mean to be, just are," he agreed. Though in Kisten's case he figured it was just plain stupidity that made him so loud an annoying.

With a smile Kisten nodded, " You're very welcome! I like helping others, and I have so many feathers as it is..." he trailed off, his eyes being pulled to a freezer door that had just been shut, the glass was fogged with condensation. He grinned widely and galloped to the door, reaching up and drawing smiley faces in the condensation. This was exactly what he was waiting for, someone else who was tall enough to open a door for him. Now he could draw!

Vevina nodded and turned towards Kisten curiously, "Now what are they doing?" It didn't seem very safe for him to be standing with his back to Dera, she didn't MEAN to be hurtful but sometimes...

Dera looked startled as Kisten's attention turned away from her and towards the frosted door. How strange that something so simple should detract him, she turned and put her hands on her hips. "What are you doing?" She asked her tone a little less pleased. Her eyes suddenly sparkled as she noticed he was holding open the door to the popsicles. She quickly rushed over to grab a box and rip it open.
