Connor had several ways he liked best to spend the morning. The first and foremost was eating pancakes with a little hole cut in the center for a syrup lake with a pat of butter floating like a boat in the middle. That way, when he cut into the pancake, he could dip into the center and get just as much syrup as he liked. And plus, the cut out portions made neat little mini pancakes that were handsized and fun. Anything handsized was fun for Con because it ultimately ended up drenched in a rainbow of colors.
The second best way Connor liked to spend the day was with his pop at the park. Sometimes Trance would watch him as he zoomed up and down the park equipment, climbing things that weren't meant to be climbed, little legs dangling as he hauled himself over the edges of slides only to slide down half way. Or sometimes Trance played too. Nothing was more amusing than a full grown daddy sliding down a plastic slide with his knees shoved up near his face just to fit.
The third best way Connor liked to spend his morning coincided with the second -and really the first, since he'd had pancakes that very morning- he liked playing at the park with daddy and friends. Girls were especially fun, Pop was teaching him to be nice to them. But boys were especially fun too, what with the wrestling and the arm punching and the racing around. And Taji was fun too even though Connor didn't know what Taji was except his very bestest friend and hopefully not wet. The only person that wasn't Connor's friend was the bathroom because that seat was so HIGH, and it was hard to wait to pee there, but he was getting the hang of it.
At the moment, Connor was high indulging in two out of three of his favorite morning activities, legs dangling over the edge of the play structure, eating a middle circle pancake-snack, bitesized and covered with smears of red and orange and syrup.

Opec, humming quietly to himself, crouched near the ground at the bottom of a rather tall-looking metal slide. It was neither curvy nor plastic, but Irizu had seemed to like it. She had clung screaming to the cross-bars for a good two minutes, anyway.
"Okay, Rizu go now!"
"Okay!"
Irizu giggled and flung herself down the slide face-first with ehr arms stretched out in front of her. She felt her head hit something squishy and laughed insanely as she was picked up and placed on the ground.
"Zee go too!"
Opec grimaced and rubbed his stomach where his curly-haired toddler had viciously, accidentally slammed him. Such was fatherhood.

(( you make me wanna make some pancakes and cut out the center bit for syrup and butter XDDD ))
Elazu was glad to be at the park, especially after being stuck in the house with his whiney older brother Trent. Although he would have to admit that being at the park with him wasn't as fun as being there with his mommy. Him woudl be his much older brother, Aubrey. The two got along swimmingly, but Aubrey never liked to play or move from the bench the two were sitting on for that matter , while his mother would have chased him around and played games all day with him. However, due to Trent's fits, mommy had to stay home with him, thusly sending Aubrey out with Elazu so the two of them could get out. He missed his mommy, now that he thought about it, and that made him sad, and being sad was no fun.
The young boy flicked his tail in retaliation to his sudden bad mood, jumping up from the bench and dashing toward the playground. He ignored his older brother's calls of staying in sight and made his way toward the monkey bars. Although it was something hard for him to try and do, and it hurt his hands and made them smell funny after hanging for so long, he still loved the challenge.

"PANCAKES," bellowed the hunting call of a native Taji on the prowl. Following this very small outburst, she peered very hopefully over the edge of the play structure and up at Con, gaze firmly fixed on his breakfast. Though she thoguht it would be appropriate if it did, her stomach did not growl -- she had already eaten breakfast -- but she narrowed her eyes a little anyway and did her best to resemble a pinched, dirty, starving orphan. 'FEED ME,' said Taji's face.
"What've you got there?" She said very casually to him, in case he did not quite get the point yet.
There was no explanation as to how she'd gotten there -- her brothers were nowhere in sight, neither was her mother, and her father was very rarely seen out of the house. Except for a school bus pulling away from the curb in the distance and the fact that she was dressed in what could very potentially be a school uniform, Taji very well could have simply materialized out of thin air for pancakes alone (and, ok, to see Con as well.)

Isaiah winced in sympathy at Opec's injury, wrapping his arms around his own stomach and looking up at Uziri as though she was a cat-eared bird of prey.
"Don't do anything like I know you're planning on doing," he said.
Uziri smiled with utter innocence, and launched herself down the slide full throttle. The ride was short and glorious, and she flew off the end and was caught in a panic by Iz, preventing a nasty crash.
"Again," she said clearly.
"Ugh...
Seizing Irizu's hand, Uziri was ready to sprint back up the ladder when she stopped dead. She'd just heard a familiar voice...
"WAFFLES," she countered, shouting.

Irizu's brow furrowed and her lips pursed.
"Waffles?"
They had not had waffles for breakfast. Nor did she know anyone named Waffle. What was Zee talking about?!
Opec's ears folded back at the shout, and one eye closed.
"I could do without the verbal assault, dear."

The stimulation was overwhelming. Pancakes! Waffles! Con's favorite words being bandied about like ping pong balls. He looked up attentively, before remembering....oh HE had pancakes. He squinted at them, predator to prey for a moment, before looking sheepishly up at Taji. He was supposed to share. Dutifully handing her one of the two remaining pancakes, he stuffed the other one in his mouth, and patted the kid-safe rubber seat next to him.
Pancakes gone, he looked up. Oh! The park was getting busy! And how had Taji gotten here? And where was pop? Oh, there he was, asleep on a bench. And who were the kids over there? He craned his neck around a pole to get a better look, before beaming back at Taji.
"Hay. How'ru." He swallowed half-way through the greeting, belatedly remembering that it wasn't polite to speak with his mouth full.

((I have to go to dinner, so I'm gonna make Zee and Iz disappear for a bit, xD; ))
Instantly wanting to see the new people, Zee tried to take off towards the source of the noise and noticed one leg wasn't bending quite like the other.
"Ouch," she said, looking down at her knee, where a warm red patch was spreading on her jeans. Looked like Iz hadn't quite made the catch he thought he had. "Daaaaa, need a bannaid."
Iz sighed.
"Ah jeez. I'll be back soon, gotta go play doctor," he said, nodding a quick goodbye as he hoisted Zee up and left, on a mission for bandaids.

{{Imma go with her. It's no fun alone. Rizu is pretty antisocial if people aren't bleeding or crying. xD;}}
Irizu gasped and looked down at her sister's knee. Ooooh, the red stuff. She reached out to touch it, wanting to get a taste and see what was so good about it, when Uziri was removed from her range.
"Hey. HEY. WAIT FOR RIZU!"
Opec followed after his daughter, waddling awkwardly as he tried to catch her. Eventually he was able to pick her up off the ground and catch up with Iz.
"I'll help."

The curious not-so-echo made Taji halt and very suddenly straighten, leaning up onto her tiptoes to look for the source of the noise. Oh. Oh. Was someone taking orders for food, was that what it was? "WITH SYRUP," Taji confirmed back to the mysterious voice (who, really, she should have known, except she never had the best memory span.)
Taji delicately took the proffered pancake from Con's fingers, shoving it into her mouth for safekeeping as she hauled herself up onto the platform next to her friend. Once she was stable and upright she retrieved the pancake from between her teeth and set to very quickly demolishing it.
"I am good!" She finally said after swallowing the last bits. "I am going to school!" She tugged on her pink tie and proudly pointed to the now-empty curb, double-taking once the suspicious lack of school bus registered. "Or... Or I was. Now there is no bus."
This was a conundrum indeed. "I guess no school today then!" Taji said cheerfully before catching sight of someone approaching them on his way to the monkey bars. "Hay! Haaay! Elazu! Over here!" To Con, she continued, "How are you?"

Elazu paused, his journey to the monkey bars interupted as he heard Taji's voice.
" Taaaaji!" He called out, waving as he reluctantly changed his direction, making his way toward Taji and the other boy. Who was he anyways? As he approached the two he smiled at Taji and looked up at the other boy, his hand automatically reaching out toward him. He was defiantly getting better with his manners. " Hi! I'm Elazu. Who you?"

Con beamed and shook Elazu's hand, with a little too much gusto. "M'Con. It's niceta." It was always nice to make new friends. He patted the other side of the bench next to him, with a smile. Elazu could come up and hang with them! "Whatchu like to do?" His eyes lit up with hope. "You like to wrassle? We like to wrassle." He grabbed Taji in an impromptu headlock, beaming.

Taji lit up at the very start of the first utterance of the word 'wrassle', and once Con had slipped her into a headlock, was thus transformed into a wildly flailing with lots of growling kind of beastie. A variety of questionable things was said in her struggle to either get out from Con's grasp or simply look as weird as possible, such as "ASIHGT," and "GHIHEDSOI," and, very clearly, "HAAY, SMELL WHAT I'M COOKING."
Finally she managed to roll over on top of Con, escaping his deathgrip (in Taji's mind, everything about wrassling was always perilous) on her head, sitting up on his stomach and pinning him down by sheer force of weight alone. She thought herself very good at wrassling, it was obvious. "See," she told Elazu, "You don't even get into trouble with parents cos it's a sport and at least we are not doing the smashing of chairs over heads."

Elazu sat down next to Con, smiling brightly. They were getting along swimmingly! The young shadowling watched the two as the mentioning of "wrassling" came up. What was a wrassle? His question was soon answered as he saw Con put Taji in a headlock. It frightened him to see Con be so rough with Taji, and he was about to help her except she seemed to be happy about it.
Elazu could only watch as Taji squirmed out of the headlock and pinned Con down, so this was a wrassle. A head c**k to the side, and he continued to stare, he wasn't used to this wrassling and he certainly never did it at home it looked so rough! And surely his mother would not approve, but Taji did say that parents didn't mind. " Es a sport? Realleh?"

Fresh air! How Yazu loved being out in the sunshine and surrounded by clear breezes and away from the Kendo gym. Not that he didn't enjoy rolling around the judo mats or being pampered by the students in Yusuke's homeroom, he just loved being outside more and cooped up in the dank budokan. Holding clumps of Yusuke's hair like handle bars, Yazu navigated his pop into the park. Seeing many neat and fun things, he squealed with delight.
"Trust me, I am as happy as your are to be free form work, Yacchan," Yusuke chuckled, feeling Yazu's little fists nudge the sides of his neck. Finding an empty picnic table, he set down Yazu's baby bag and the huge bento lunch his mom packed for him. Renka was supposed to meet them in the part, but she was unfortunately delayed with club activity work at school.
"How about a little swinging before we eat?" Yusuke said, slowly prying Yazu's hands from his hair, and taking out the smaller front baby harness. A flush swept over his cheeks as some older women commented on how attractive single fathers were, and he hastened the wriggling baby into the harness and made a dash for the swings before they could corner him. Finding an open adult swing, Yusuke sat down with a weary sigh. Hanging out in a park didn't bother him, it was being open game for all the single mothers roaming around that bothered him. Looking down at Yazu's fiery hair and vivid eyes, he smiled, "Here we go, Bud. Hang on." Taking a few steps back, Yusuke kicked up and began swinging.
