Sighing Anokai spread out in the sun. It was in the middle of the sky which meant it was the middle of the day. It was so boring lately, she needed something new and exciting to come her way...something unexpected, something grand, something different and spectacular.
But what could come?
Anokai shrugged and wiggled herself into a more comfortable position. She then closed her eyes and let the sun warm her tiny gray and white body.
Things seemed alright at the moment.

Meanwhile, a white lioness walked silently as she wandered across the large area of grass. She glanced around carefully as she moved herself forward. The lioness was always alert, and careful, occassioanlly she wandered carelessly, but only when it was night time, and Dimu was sure no one would ambush her, not that anyone would...
The sun glanced off her white fur, which kept her from growing too hot. That was one thing she enjoyed about her light coat, she stayed cool in the summer and desert heat. She blinked her rose hued eyes as she spotted a grey and white lump of fur on the grass.
Carefully the femme took slinking steps towards it as she grew closer, she could see it was a jackel. That was new. Dimu had not met one of those yet.
"Hello?"

Anokai opened one eye to look at a rather blinding white figure of a lioness, with some lime NEON green on her, which made her even brighter. She flicked her tail and rolled onto her stomach and tilted her head, this female didn't seem like a threat, so Anokai was not afraid. If this female was just putting on a game, Anokai could run fast to get away and hide.
She'd be fine.
"Hello...must say, I haven't met someone so...bright."

"Well... thank you... I do admit, I am a bit unusual.. oh, forgive me, I am M'Dimu, may I ask your name?"
She a litte sorry for interupting this femme. Dimu enjoyed meeting new creatures, and only hoped this one would not be cross ad Dimu for interupting her sunbathing. The jackal was odd looking to Dimu, similar to a wild dog, only with more of a mane.
"It is a lovely day is it not?"
Dimu said looking to the sky. She hadn't traveled in the daylight for a while, only managing to change her sleeping shift to let her move about in the daylight for a few days. Dimu wasn't even sure where she was anymore.

"Interesting name, I'm Anokai, simple, little Anokai," she said as she rolled to her feet and stretched her legs. She forgot how small she was compared to everything else when she stood up, maned wolves, wild dogs, lions, everything seemed to tower over her...except baby jackals.
"It is lovely, warm too, I like being warm then cold...the sun on days like this is most pleasing..." she said with a nod. She felt like being happy, civil today, least it would be interesting, "Are you traveling M'Dimu?"
She was curious.

The lioness nodded. This creature seemed cival and social, it put a smile on the white lioness' maw. She watched Anokai with her rose hued eyes before answering.
"Yes, I am always traveling... what about you, do you travel? Or do you live in one place?"
She asked with a curious glint in her eyes. This Anokai seemed just as interested in her as she was in the jackal. The lion was meeting new creatures everyday. She was certain she had met almost every other kind of creature here.

"Somewhat...I don't see myself in one place for a long long time really..." Anokai nodded as she spoke. It was true, how could she settle down somewhere out here? So alone, so...out in the open. So boring as well. She huffed, seemed like everything was against her really, at least others were at least civil to her when she met others along the way towards...something.
"Have to keep moving...just have to, you headed anywhere?"

"I'm trying to find the Ngorongoro Crater... I'm not having much luck though... what about you... are you traveling somewhere special?"
Dimu had to inwardly laugh at herself. She use to think she had no set destination, that she would go where the stars took her, but since hearing those whispers on the wind, and watchign her stars slowly take her around in circles, she realized it was time to move from them a bit, and search for the pride that she heard about.

Anokai flicked an ear and tilted her head, "Never heard of that place before," she said matter of factly. Some prides had the strangest names, the simpler the name the better it was, least in her opinion. She flicked her tail, looked up at the sky for a moment, then back down to peer at the female, "Not really just..somewhere, someday maybe I'll find it, until then, I'll just keep wandering, trying to find my way in this life."
This life, yes, Anokai believed everything had at least second chances at life.
Maybe this was her second chance, but she wasn't positive.

M'dimu nodded thoughtfully. It was much the same philosophy she use to follow. Just wander and eventually you'll find what you need. It had served her well in the past, but it seemed that lately she was going around in circles headed to no where.
"I see. I use to be so aswell... but I've heard of a new pride and I'm off trying to find it." She chuckled. She'd had no luck in finding this crater, or the lions of this pride. She half wondered if it was all rumour. No one she had talked to even knew such a place exsisted.

"A new pride?" Anokai flicked her ears, tilted her head in question, there were always new prides here and there, it didn't much matter to her anyway, unless one of them openly accepted jackals into their midst, though she highly doubted such a thing. Lions seemed to look down upon anything that were smaller then themselves, them being higher in the food chain.
Though this female seemed polite, which Anokai was extremely glad for.
"Well then I hope you search for it ends soon," she said with a nod, "It'd be nice to fnally have somewhere to call your own." She wanted something of the same sort. "I have to keep searching for mine," she said absent mindedly, peering up at the sky, then behind her where she should walk, "Do find your new pride soon my dear, I am off to find somewhere for myself again."
With that Anokai turned tail and started trotting off in her own direction again, leaving the lighter pelted female behind.
Everyone deserved a home of their own.
