Hello, fellow artists and Star Wars fans!
I'm going to set a few more explanitory ground-rules about the Art Collection.

Please keep all artwork apropriate. Sexually explicit images, excessive blood/gore, and extreme violence will not be accepted.


Material and Subject matter
Nudity and Gore
Nudity and blood will be allowed, as long as they are kept at tasteful levels, and displayed in a tasteful way. If you are in any way concerned about whether or not your artwork will be accepted, please feel free to PM me, JadesFireMJ, or Aldaron_Tauron, with the piece of artwork you wish to post. I will get back to you as quickly as I possibly can.
Nudity will be decided as tasteful by myself and Aldaron. If you disagree with either of our opinions, we will PM the image to the other GA's. If any of them think that it should be accepted, we will discuss the matter, and you may get your work posted.

PLEASE, do NOT PM GAT (Grand_Admiral_Thrawn) with artwork! It will clog up the mailbox, and GAT's purpose is not to work with art!

Relating to the subject matter
Also, please try and keep your images at least somewhat Star Wars themed, or connected to Star Wars in some way. For example, a piece of work with an Indiana Jones theme may be accepted, but artwork partaining to Harry Potter will not.



Labeling artwork
Please label your artwork. If you do not name your pieces, that's perfectly fine, you do not have to use a title. But it is helpful for everyone if you add information such as what Star Wars genre it is in. This is preferable what the form will look like:

Title: ~here you put the title of your piece
Subject(s): ~this is who, or what, is the subject of your piece
Category: ~ this is where you put a movie title, book title, era title, or AU
Theme: ~ this is where you put what your picture is trying to get across. This is either portrait, landscape, angst, parody, romance, etc.
Media: ~state what you used to create your artwork!
Artist: ~while this may seem redundant, it's important to know just from the post who created the artwork.




Here are examples of artwork that will be accepted:

Artwork directly partaining to Star Wars, whether it be Original Trilogy, Prequel Trilogy, Expanded Universe, or Alternate Universe, are accepted without question.


Example:

Title: Embrace
Subject(s): Han and Leia
Category: Original Trilogy, ESB era
Theme: Romance
Media: pencil
Artist: JadesFireMJ







Artwork with a character that you made up will be accepted as well. It is unlikely that that will be turned away.

Example:


Title: Dancer Girl
Subject(s): Anonymous dancer girl
Category: EU
Theme: Portrait
Media: pencil
Artist: JadesFireMJ







Parody and humor will be accepted, but remember--if you have inside jokes, explain them first! Share with everyone why it's humorus.

Example:

Me and Aldaron had a huge fight, and drew everyone in with us, about our "WMD"'s. It got out of hand and very silly, and he ended up with an army of blind Jedi Banthas with Lightsabres duct-taped to their heads. My army consisted of an animal that I supposedly had crossbred--A Ysalimiri, a Krayt Dragon, and a Dionoga--and then bred again and again, until the need for food was eliminated. I called them "Yskraylinogas", and Aldaron and I argued about which animal was cooler. He drew his bantha, but he has no scanner. I drew my Yskraylinoga, scanned it in, and colored it.
I won the battle with this picture.

OK, these 3 pieces were kind of a progression, though not necessarily towards any greater skill. sweatdrop

Media: .7 mechanical pencil on scrap paper during class, mostly history.

This is a 1 minute sketch of what was in my mind when I came up with the idea.

This one I tried to have him doing a sort of hand sign thingy, flashing the rings and whatnot, but it's hard to tell that. sweatdrop

And this one was back to the original pose, just a bit larger.

I'm working on a random picture now... I don't know if it's gonna be star wars related though... my kind'da, sort'ta friend drew a bunch of star wars pictures and one had plushie wookies.
