A huge lumbering form walked rather carelessly about, distracted. He had been thinking of his mate more and more lately, wondering if they had been discovered. It weighed so heavily on his mind that he had wandered away from his group while on patrol. Oops.

"Now, where am I...?" Angusho wondered aloud, glancing around.

"I can't have gone too far..."

"Hmm hm hmm hmm.." Rengo hummed as he moved through the grasses, gaze remaining on his feet. He'd been walking most of the day, stopping here or there to watch this or that. He was enjoying himself, though he had no clue where he was really. He didn't bother with trying to figure it out, he was rather care free and worrying about where you were wasn't high on his priority list.

His tail flicked and his nostrils flared, eyes widening as he looked up and around? "Li~on?" He purred out, looking for the other body that he smelt on the wind. He enjoyed talking to others very much so! He picked up his pace a little, humming died down.

His eyes widened again when he saw the white form ahead. "Oh my stars!" he breathed out and then giggled, this male could be his mum's brother if he didn't know better! "Heee~lo!" He called over.

Angu's ears perked up as he heard the call, "Who is there?" He asked, though only a moment later he saw him. How strange, the two of them could almost be related, except for the darkness in the other's pelt.

"Hello..." He said hesitantly. He already didn't really like this lion, he seemed much too happy. He also wasn't from his pride. Or was he? Not likely, but perhaps he had stumbled upon his home lands without realizing it!

"Where is this? Am I in the Mteo lands?" He asked, slightly exited. His tail swished behind him as his mind dared to hope that home was just around the corner. However, the flat grassy land he was in didn't seem familiar at all, and the sacred trees were nowhere to be found. Perhaps he had just stumbled upon a common rogue, in which case, he would have to leave it to it's fate.

"Mteo?" He said, his brow wrinkling in thought. "No, I believe this is the southlands sir. Rogue territory, yeah?" He grinned and bowed his head slightly. "My name is Mirengo'Kauta, from the Kusini'Mwezi lands." He was easy to offer his name and his birthlands, he was impressed with the adult male. He looked strong and confident! Well a little lost too, but Rengo could push that aside.

Rengo didn't want to sound too obnoxious or kiddish... but he couldn't help it, "Funny how fate has led us straight to each other, one with such a light pelt and the other with such a dark pelt! But both with manes of pink! ~Hee!" He grinned big at this, not bothered at all that his 'mane' wasn't even halfway there.

Blast, this WAS rogue territory! He sighed, but this young lion seemed to have a pride. That was better than being a rogue, but not as good as being in his pride. He wasn't really sure how to handle this.

"I'm Angusho." He said simply. The fact that Rengo was so happy and open must mean he wasn't a threat, right? It couldn't hurt to stay and chat with him, perhaps he knew something useful.

"Aye, fate." He chuckled, "We could be kin, if not for my family all being deceased and myself having no children." He eyed the child's markings, Rengo seemed to look eerily similar to himself. "So, if this is the southlands, do you know where the Mteo would be located? I am trying to get home, you see."

"Angu~sho." He grinned more, it seemed that it was rare for rengo not to be smiling or showing his happiness in some way or another.

He nodded in agreeance. "Mmmhmm, mmhmm." But his mother had mentioned something about having only her mother and her adopted family, so he didn't think he was really related to Angu either. "Oh... I apologize.. I've never heard of the Mteo Pride so I do not think I'd be very helpful in getting you there. I do know that the Kusini lands are a little to the East from here, maybe south-east. Or north-east.." He said, the confidence in his voice dropping. He wasn't so good with direction.

Angu sighed, "It's not your fault, thank you though." He smiled, "I'm sure I'll get there eventually." He said with a nod before shaking some of his mane from his face.

"But enough of that, tell me more about yourself." He said, attempting to get a good conversation going. "You must know as well as I do how difficult it is to stay hidden with a bright coat." He laughed, "That is why I am a warrior and not a hunter, what place do you wish to have in your pride when you've grown?"

Rengo's face became serious and he nodded, he wasn't much of a hunter. He was thinking about what he'd actually want to be when he was older. He didn't know all that much about his pride's jobs and such, but there was one that he was interested in. "Maybe I would like to be my pride's Poza... healer!" He smiled lightly, shyly even. "In old times when the Kusini thrived the Poza was a very respectable job... they practiced in finding herbs and plants that helped heal and cure sick and wounded lions.. I think I would like to do that. Plus you get to travel a lot!"

Angu nodded, "A healer is always respectable. Strong of heart and mind, I think you would be a wonderful Poza." He said with a smile. "I wouldn't be able to do it though, I have a horrible memory. Fortunately, I'm strong, so a Shujaa, or warrior in my pride, is the best place for me."

Angu looked around, his group was nowhere in sight. He wondered if they would approve of him talking with this outsider. Then again, wondering about being found out is what got him here in the first place.

"I think pink is actually a sign of power." He said, glancing at Rengo's mane and tail. "Just look at us. Remember, never be ashamed of what you are." He mused, repeating the words of his mother who he just barely remembered. He had always complained about his color, and how the other cubs made fun of him. His mother was one of the wisest lions he had ever known.
