There's this guy...he's good looking and a charmer.
My friends love him.
He used to be a player but has made a HUGE effort to change to be with me.
We weren't 'boyfriend/girlfriend' but were seeing each other exclusively.

When I think about him from a distance, he seems perfect.
But when I'm WITH him, something changes. I broke it off with him after he spent the night at my house last night. I can't even explain it fully to my friends and end up kind of making excuses.

It's like when I'm around him, I just want to be somewhere else. The atmosphere is 'surreal', in a bad way. It's like he made me uncomfortable without meaning to. We were making out and all I could think was "this is bad, I don't know what's going on but I'm not supposed to be here." I even tried imagining my ex there instead of him but it didn't work.
One of the things I noticed about him is when I'm with him, I feel drained. Tired. Both physically and emotionally. I must admit, last night I worked until 9pm and contributed...but usually I stay on the computer for hours even after work. And even on weekends, when I come over to his house I just want to sleep or lay there. It's not like he does anything to make me tired, it's just him being there.

Could this be a psychic vampire? I'm not sure if this is enough 'evidence' to consider him one. I've noticed that I do feel a bit sluggish lately, even when he's not around. When he's here, though, it just multiplies. If he is, I don't think he does it on purpose. He was upset when I broke it off this morning.

In either case, it's over between us, but I would really love to be able to explain this. Is there another way to 'test' if one is a psychic vampire or not?

Yes but see, I really don't think he would know about it. If he does it, he does it subconsciously. If he knew about it he wouldn't be draining me so much, would he, because he'd know that I'd sense something was wrong and cut myself off like I did.

If he was doing it conciously, he might be unaware that you WOULD cut yourself off from him -- but he would notice when you did. If he was a vampire, then he may just as easily be unconcious of it. Either way, you should learn to shield yourself from him if he is. 3nodding And confront him, like Winged-sensei said. 4laugh

He may also be aware that something's happening, but not know what it is, or what he could do about it. In that case, your questioning him might give him the clue he needs to figure himself out and start to learn control.

Well yes and no, You would have to drain it almost 100% and there is more energy there then you would think. Also it would take a day or two becuase it would struggle to survive then slowly die.
But thats just a theory.

Yeah, I heard vampires' auras are composed of darker colors then ordinary humans. They may not be black-dominated, but they have more black than would be strictly normal. Also, most peoples' auras have little "Tendrils" sticking out of them from time to time, especially if they're stressed or tired. With a vampire, they're supposedly always there, and longer and more numerous than in normal people. I wouldn't know, I can't see auras for s**t, but hey, you can try it. ^_^

The few times I've seen my own aura it was black with deep purple spots, or it was indigo. I've never seen any tendrils without actively producing them myself.

I think it's hit and miss, just like vampire symptoms don't necessarily mean vampirism.

I saw him again today, spent a few hours at his house.
The tiredness wasn't there, except for at one stage, just for a minute.
On the one hand, he could have consciously stopped taking energy from me, but I doubt that. I doubt he'd know he's a vampire if he was.

On the other hand, I could just be going through a tiring stage of life right now, with school and work. I get the feeling I might have misjudged him and he might not be a psychic vampire at all.
