Formed in 1993, Mithotyn did not release an album until 1997. Much of the material featured on the three albums of their career was previously composed or featured on one of the previous demos. In 1997, the group released three albums, In The Sign Of The Ravens followed by King Of The Distant Forest, and finishing with "Gathered Around the Oaken Table" in 1999. Mithotyn officially dissolved in 1999, Stefan Weinerhall and Karsten Larsson currently play in the band Falconer.
I downloaded an EP of theirs, and i thought that they were pretty good. The quality of the EP was poor so im sure that effected my experianc. The band uses black metal-esque vocals if you are wondering.

Turbohammaren Ive only got two of their EPs, keep meaning to pick up a CD from these. Which Ep's do you have? I have Behold the Shield of Gold. I am listening to it again right now, It is better than i remember AND it still shocks me that someone could go from a band like this to a and like Falconer.

People in the metal forum rec'd them to me as folk, but whatever.
