This is more for my interest then anyone else. Who here has read the rules and understand the rules. It seems like alot of members act like they just feel off the turnip truck and are making threads that already exist and most people get helped in these existing threads. As a mod, its annoying to be locking or deleting threads that were user stupidity.

How are we supposed to take care of this problem. People are creating threads that I have to lock on a daily basis, and the point of locking them is so that other users will learn. So far, I'm not seeing this make any in-pack on anyone.
ANY SUGGESTIONS question question question
We have singles threads We have help threads We have donation threads We have Bars We have location threads
You do not need to create a thread for anyone of these categories. Im really getting to the point where I'm not going to even ask, I'm going to do. This is a guild, a forum where everyone can get together and talk discuss, and meet each other and everyone has an opinion. However management is needed, or else things will fall apart. This is a chance for anyone to discuss with me the rules. Last time I looked, they looked pretty clear and fair. Also while I have the attention of some people, if you know friends who haven't posted yet, tell them. We have a huge guild list, and many with 0 posts. I am not saying that many if not most of you post, I am saying that a bunch of people just join and never post at all. If I can get some of the mods with me, eventually I would like to drop these 0 posters.
Also everyone who has posted a yes vote, id like some feedback on what you think. Ive seen four so far, so that means three people should post some feedback stare .

The rules are quite clear. And even if people haven't read the specific rules of the guild, no repeat topics is a rule constantly enforced on gaia, and they should probably already know that. The rules are definitely not the problem.
Unfortunately, many people don't take the time to look through existing threads, and there's really no way that they can be made to look. If they're not going to bother following the rules, then it really is their own fault if their thread gets locked or deleted. In order to keep the guild neat and orderly, repeat threads have to be dealt with. Repeat threads make it too hard for users to find information. So, I'd say, go ahead and do what you have to do. It's for the the good of the guild.

I agree. And also with dealeting those with 0 posts, you should send them a warning first and if they dont comply in a certain amount of days: you should be able to dealete them.

ToeboysGurl I agree. And also with dealeting those with 0 posts, you should send them a warning first and if they dont comply in a certain amount of days: you should be able to dealete them. For now, thats just a future plan that when I can get a mod or two with me to go through our 34 pages of members, I'll do that. I would just like to do a little guild maintenance and cut the fat. I would like to remind members that this is an open forum for people to voice their opinions on how the guild is run and managed. I believe that we are running things fairly and that we are pretty relaxed about rules and are very accepting to everyone. Its just a chance to discuss with everyone if this guild is doing well. If no-one has anything to say, then I guess we are doing a good job 3nodding .

I've updated the rules a few times, but just in case, if you have a suggestion, but you dont feel like announcing it to the world, just PM Lint Trap, Eisuke, TaroPsyche, Taylor_Highwind, wordman, loginbin3000, Gavner, I recommend PMing either me, or taro because we're in here more often, but fell free to PM whoever you feel most comfortable with.
