Slough Feg is more celtic fusion, although the influences are not all that visable from most of their songs.

I will admit a lot of their songs sound similar but they are one of my favorite metal bands ninja

Anyone else a fan?

I love them, especially their album "Traveller"

IDK if I'd consider them one of my fav metal bands, but they are certainly talented and with not enough recognition

I concur.

My metal pallet is not all that advanced, most metal I listen to is power or folk.
But I agree they do not get nearly enough recognition. Especially with Dragonforce out there rolleyes

I've never heard 'em but, I'll check 'em out since Power/Folk happens to run right up my alley. =D And, by that hint of sarcasm, I'm guessing they're better than the oh-so over-rated Dragonforce?

i'd tell you to check out TRAVELLER and conclude for yourself... it's not really a folky work, not as Twilight of the Idols... but I think it's their very best...
