No... That may be true, but because manga hands MUST be as bigger as the head...

Yeah, the size of the hands is a big part of proportion art-wise.
Typically, if you hold your hand up to your face it should be about the same size.
Anime guys have huge heads due to the fact that they're cartoons, so their hands have to be about the same size just so they don't come out looking all freaky-like and whatnot.
Teehee!

Well, yeah, but I think something about hands on guys is that they're a lot bulkier too. They might be the same old size as a girl's, but they're wider since it's a guy. Guys are like that. It's...a guy thing. xDD

A person's hand is about as big as their face...not their whole head persay...also, big hands make boys (when you're drawing them) seem more boyish(since I guess boys just generally have bigger hands than girls). One thing I've seen in anime is like...some guys will marvel at the smallness of a girl's hand. So yea I dunno...girl hands are basically just smaller, narrower, and less bulky and hard than boy hands. (my observation from comparing my hands with others...as well as from figure drawing class)
