My friend was on Aggramar in Astranaar in Ashenvale and there was some army of Horde characters killing everyone. Not unusual right? Wrong. My friend has PvP DISABLED and so did his friend, ok? I even went on to see if he just didn't make some mistake and accidently hit a button over a horde character or whatever. I got killed. My PvP....DISABLED DAMMIT! What the hell is up with this bs. We aren't PvP players and this is not a PvP server. What the hell gives?
PS: Kinda reminded me of the episode of South Park, but on a larger scale.

I used to play on a normal server and im probably not correct on this but. ashenvale is contested territory right? menaing your flagged while in it?
im not sure if im know what im talking about here though. but this was my best explanation.

better late then never.
Were you repeatedly being attacked by horde? as in each attack / kill was less then 5 minutes apart? Theres your problem, if your flagged in anyway, even though it will say "disabled" it doesnt mean your not flagged. You need to disable it, then wait 5 minutes and dont do anything to flag yourself.
After 5 minutes res, and dont attackl anyone.
Oh, and on PvE servers you are always unflagged unless you flag yourself.
EDIT: If your on a pvp server, your always flagged in contested areas, ALWAYS...
unless your flying.

Contested (on PvP) are areas where neither the Horde or the Alliance are safe from each other. You are auto-flagged for PvP in contested.

What class is your friend?
He must've helped (buffed, healed, etc.) someone that was flagged for PvP, so that triggered his PvP on.
