Well, he was working at an Organ repair shop, and Murdoc's car flew through the store window, crashing right into Stuart's face and knocking his right eye into his head and putting him into a coma.

Later Murdoc, with Stuart unconscious in the backseat, was doing crazy stunts in a carpark, and crashed. Stuart flew face-first through the windshield and onto the pavement, knocking his other eye in and awakening him from his coma. Due to the 2 dents now in his face, Murdoc christened him 2D, and he liked the name so much that he almost exclusively uses that moniker.

Also, when he was appx. 11, Stuart fell out of a tree and hit his head, causing a complete loss of all body hair. When it grew back, it was blue.

He's had many more head injuries over the years, giving him severe migraines. Thus, he takes a ton of painkillers, provided to him by his mother, who is a nurse.
