Anlach was in full swing, and that fact wasn't easily hidden. Dasher could feel the hormones flowing through him. The often arrogant bull was only more so... and a bit more aggressive with the coming of the season. Although his stammering infront of Blitzen might prove otherwise. What a fool he had looked. Oh well.
The bull with the winged ankles was rubbing his antlers against the trunk of a tree and also lightly sparring with some of the branches. Perhaps preparing himself for possible challenges in the neart future.

Dancer was sleeping alone in the tall grass. She was woken by the sharp scraping sound of antlers on treebark. Her blazing violet eyes opened to see Dasher attempting to kill a tree, his antler's fuzz starting to peel. "Speedy?" she groaned with sleep in her voice.

Shedding velvet was such a nasty business at that too. But atleast it was coming off now that Anlach was here. Seems that he'd been a little late in his shed this time around. Continuing to rub at the tree... the velvey was soon coming free. However, Dasher heard a familiar voice and lifted his head to look in the direction of his one cow. His face already bloodied from the breaking of the tissue that supplied the blood to the once growing antlers. Yes... shedding velvet was a messy thing indeed.
"Oh... there you are, Dancer.. I had been wondering where you'd gotten off to." The bull grinned, pieces of reddened velvet hanging off his antlers rather oddly.

Dancer cried out when she saw Dasher covered in Blood. She mistook him as a Fallen. When she calmed down a bit, she trotted slowly from behind her hiding tree and nuzzled Dasher. "You gave me a fright. Your velvet...." she explained.

Dasher laughed lightly at Dancer's shock, then nuzzled her back. "I thought you'd be use to that by now." After all.. she had a pair of her own antlers.. and all of them went through this every year.
He then sighed a bit forlornly as he remembered Blitzen's earlier rejection of him. Well.. Dancer wouldn't have to worry about her being in Dasher's harem any more. He was done with her... he wasn't going to ask her to be in his harem again. Not after that. His feelings had been rather hurt, and his pride smashed to bits.

"I try not to look at myself as I'm in velvet," she explained, "Hey, Speedy. Is there anything wrong? You seem down." She stepped back to look at Dasher. She shook out her fur taking a guess at what was eating him. Donner or a member of his family. They always seemed to twist the last of their nerves.

Dasher gave his cow a warm smile before shaking his bloodied head as he approached her. "No no... its nothing really. I think Anlach is just settling in... makes me nervous, you know?" The bull shrugged his shoulders, hoping that Dancer would just brush off the matter as he wasnt sure how she'd take it... that he wanted Blitzen in his harem.
Although really... if Blitzen hadn't turned him down, he'd have to deal with it anyway.
The speedy one instead offered Dancer a loving nuzzle. If there was one cow he didn't have to worry about, as far as rejection goes, it was her.
