Perhaps with age she was growing in to the fact that she was unlikely ever to be able to use the vocals the way her family did. It was unusal for Siyasura to dwell on soemthing for as long as she was dwelling on this fact, her mind usually happily going back to the joys of childhood.
A salty breath of the sea splashed on her face as she lay there her ears perking forwards slightly. The sea never changed, it always stayed the same, she would stay the same with it apparantly.

 Shockingly enough, today was a lazy day for Sikulu. His paws had worn themselves out from roaming the land, greeting new visitors and potential pride members. For now, he simply wanted to rest, and let his mind drift in the sea.
However, his plans shifted a bit as he spotted Siyasura. The juvenile had always been one to tease his other siblings, or rough-house with them, but not Siyasura. He was much kinder, gentler, and more patient with her. Perhaps she was the only thing that kept him from being a total brat at times. Smiling to himself, the lion cub trotted down to her, tail wagging slightly. "Hey, 'Sura!" he said cheerfully. "Whatcha up to?"

Watery eyes lifted as her brother greeted her, she liked it that he used only part of her name, he was really the only one whom did. A playful smile crossed her features. She let the worry of her life melt away with her brothers presence, her paws sinking softly in the damp sand as she rubbed her damp, salty cheeks against her brothers shoulder. "See Sea." She pointed out at the waves, she simply meant she was observing the waves, allowing her day to melt away from her by simply relaxing and allowing the sea to take away her sordid mood.
She sat happily looking up at her larger brother with that cold blue gaze, her lips turned in to a constant smile. A slight crease laced ehr brow though as she thought once again about the situation she was in. Why didn't she understand more? "Suku, why am no likeu." she tilted her head, that simple sentence having taxed her mind more than she should really have let it. She wanted so desperately to be like her brothers and sisters, smart like Miani and brave like Sikulu, or even just a normal lion, but her mind struggled to keep hold of memories, of even the simplest of tasks that other lions could do.
She just didn't understand, why?

Sikulu grinned a bit as his sister nuzzled him, before he rested his head on top of hers as a sort of 'hello' back. He then turned to look at the sea, gazing at it for a few moments. He felt a sort of pride conjure inside him; this was their sea. Yet someday, it'd be his. He smirked a bit, standing tall, as if he was already king of the Bahari'mtoto.
Sikulu flopped into the sand next to his sister, before he tilted his head at her question. 'Why am no likeu'? He mouthed the words a bit, before his eyes lit up. "Hm. Well, I dunno! I guess you're just more special than the rest of us," he teased, poking Siyasura's cheek with a dark blue paw. "Momma said that 'cause you can't talk like us, it means you'll say special things. And you can't think like us, so you'll think great things!" He flashed another grin, tail wagging. Suddenly, Sikulu's eyes lit up playfully as he said, "Hey, guess what? I learned how to catch crabs, so I can teach you, if you want!"

Siyasura beamed brightly as he brother said all these wonderful things to her. Her child like mind accepting them as complete truths. she giggled happily and nipped her older brothers cheek with a delight flashing in those deep watery blue eyes.
"Crab.."she looked deeply thoughtful as if processing this simple information was quite hard work. She soon gave a nod though and grinned her tail flickering back and forth and a little giggle escaping her maw "Teachteach!" She leapt to her dainty paws and bounced over hr brothers back only catching her back paws a little on his broad shoulders. "Crabcrab catchynes!" she beams her maw turned in a wide eager grin.
