Lisa garnet carnation's Gaian News
hello fello jellyfish! here is the gaia new for this month:
they have released some gorgeously snooty new items! The Elegant Set is reminiscent of the fashions of the French Revolution, with ornate dresses, strings of pearls, and gigantic powdered wigs. As you can imagine, these items aren't cheap! You'll have to do some tough questing to afford these items, but it's worth it-- they're some of the most lavish, fancy items we've ever offered.
Check out H.R. Wesley, Durem Depot, The Gambino Hat Rack, Barton Jewelers, and Gambino Outfitters... these items are all over the place! This is one of the biggest sets they have ever created, with over 60 items.
Our beloved developers have updated the Gift Giving system with some new options that let you customize who can send you gifts. Now you can let your gift options express your personality, whether you're shy, trusting, crabby or paranoid!
There are four exciting options from which to choose:
Everyone - Any member can send you a gift; members can send you gifts anonymously. Non-anonymous Users - Any member can send you a gift, but they will not be allowed to send you gifts without revealing their usernames. Friends Only (No Anonymous) - Only members who are on your friend list will be able to send you gifts; your friends will not be allowed to send you gifts anonymously. Members who have you on their list, but who aren't on your list, will not be able to send you gifts. Is your head spinning yet?
No One - You will be unable to receive gifts from anyone. Bah, humbug!
See? I told you they were exciting!
To set your own gift options, visit the Account page and select Preferences..
Remember: The gift giving system should never be used for trading. Never complete a trade with another member unless you can see the correct items or amount of gold that they agreed to exchange.

You'll never walk out saying "hey... Egypt me!" Once you Ramses new items into your home, you won't believe your Isis! These items are just too Luxorious to be real! Take good Cairo these artifacts, because they're priceless antiques! Oh man, that was painful. Whoa, it's the 15th already? Nice! Time for some new stuff! Let's see what the admins have to say:It's the Ides of March, Gaians, but weep not for the death of Caesar! Instead, let's check out some awesome new Monthly Collectibles: The Mythic Hair gives you tons of legendary new hairstyles. You can show your purity and virtue with Angelic Hair, or wallow in your own nastiness with Poison Hair. The mystery and romance of the moon can be yours with the Lunar hairstyle, or you can create a cascade of treasure with the Golden style. The Spirit Falcon is a noble predator who performs all of the functions that you could ever want in a supernatural bird of prey: he swoops upon your enemies, he perches regally upon your shoulder, he guides you with his spirit, and he... poops on your head. Birds will be birds! May we humbly persuade you to visit the Collectible Info Page for more information? Good! For those of you curious about the answers to our Monthly Collectible hints in the newsletter, here they are:
I don't know if they were the third-best hair metal band (after Motley Crue and Skid Row) or the third-worst (after Winger and Stryper), but one thing is for sure: they sucked. Poison! Sorry for reminding you of their existence, but perhaps you'll forgive me when you see how cool the Poison Hair is. Please note that the Poison Hair is in no way affiliated with the band Poison (thank goodness). Speaking of hair metal, who can forget Schoenberg's best-loved atonal 1912 song cycle? That would be Pierrot Lunaire, which sounds kind of like an orchestra falling down a flight of stairs and landing on a cat. This is a reference to the Lunair hairstyle. They used to hang out with snowmen, back in 1985. Falcons, as in the Sean Penn and Timothy Hutton vehicle "The Falcon and the Snowman," about two drug dealers who sold secrets to the Russians, or something. I don't know, I saw it a long time ago.Whatever. Gun. Goose. Finger. Standard. Ratio. Goblet. Records. They can all be GOLD! "The Man with the Golden Gun," "Goldfinger," a golden goose, the gold standard, the golden ratio, "The Golden Goblet," gold records. A famous malt liquor enthusiast lost one in a bet a long time ago. That would be Colt 45 spokesman Billy Dee Williams, who lost the Millennium Falcon in a bet with Han Solo in a galaxy far, far away. who has one? i unfortunetly dont but il saving for the hair!
Hey, looks like the admins have a message for us: Now you can take a little piece of Gaia with you wherever you go! Our new Mobile Downloads section in the GStore lets you deck out your mobile phone with customizable Gaia wallpapers. You can choose from a wide selection of Gaia art, and spice it up with your own avatar (or someone else's). Gaia Mobile Wallpapers are $1.99 each, charged to your mobile phone bill. Don't worry, it won't sign you up for any shady "subscription packages." We wouldn't play you like that. But wait! There's more!
(I've always wanted to say that...) You can also purchase Monthly Collectibles instantly through your mobile phone! Pay close attention, because the prices are a little different:
1 Monthly Collectible + 1 Premium Gaia Wallpaper - 3.99
2 Monthly Collectibles + 1 Premium Gaia Wallpaper - 7.99
3 Monthly Collectibles + 1 Premium Gaia Wallpaper - 9.99 Yes, the prices are a little bit strange. Unfortunately, Mobile Phone providers don't allow us to set our own prices for content, so we had to fit our pricing scheme within their wacky guidelines. To offset the weird pricing, we'll include a limited-edition premium wallpaper with each mobile Collectible purchase. Visit our Monthly Collectibles page to check out this month's items. If they strike your fancy, add them to your shopping cart and select the "mobile payment" When you purchase a Monthly Collectible with your phone, the charge will show up on your mobile phone bill. Your purchase is a one-time payment, and you will not be signed up for any sneaky subscription packages, because we're not jerks! Unfortunately, Gaia Mobile content is not currently available for T-Mobile customers. For more information, check out our Gaia Mobile FAQ.
