I usually sell any game items [fish, tickets, etc] back to the store or to the Market. They do pretty well, depending on the demand and the current selling price.
But, I was wondering. When one gets enough of the fish, tickets, etc to trade for the items, are they worth trading up rather than selling the fish, tickets, etc to the store and/or Market?

Sir Lion says you may have to ask a profit fisher. He doesn't know.

I'm a profit fisher myself, but I just wanted to get the opinions of others as well about if they should save the game items to trade in for equipable items or sell the game items as is.

I'm mostly a profit cards player, but I'm not sure. When it comes to cards, if you want to make a quick profit, selling tickets by 100 for 250g apiece(plus or minus a bit of gold(Just experiment with sales to find a good rate to sell at.). If a large profit is wanted, you should gather up tickets you win and trade them for the better casino items(Just not low stuff like ties, as they go on the market for less than they were worth as tickets). I worked for my Ace of Spades, and its worth a bit more as it is than as it was in tickets. The higher the item, the better the profit may be.
