Elenshi walked up to the lollipop tree just as dawn was coming over the hills, spreading glowing rays of sunshine everywhere in the mystically sweet land he now called home. Looking up, he smiled to see a red-and-black lollipop, like the one Beatrice had given him the day they had first met.
She's so kind...I can't believe, sometimes, that I'm lucky enough for her to like me.

Beatrice was curled in her tree. She had found many numas walking by but never to stop and look at the tree. Forgetting where she was she sunk in the tree's branches hiding her form with her feathers. She heard someone approach but she thought it was another passer-byer. She didn't really want to meet anyone like a passer-byer right now. She only wanted to see her loved ones.
A hint of smell of the Fire. That burning smell of sugar. "Elenshi.." She mumbled in her half asleep self. This made her move around and turn the other way; not being to towards him. "A dream... a dream.." She reassured herself. Being liked the dreamland with her loved ones; and not being without them hurt too much.

Elenshi heard his name softly spoken from above. Circling the tree, he eventually saw Beatrice's feathers high in the branches. She was evidently still asleep. With a mischievous grin, he quietly climbed up behind her, leaned over, and gently blew in her ear.

A slight wind hit her ear and it flickered backwards. Then forwards. Then... it twitched and she nuzzled her head around like a new born pup. This. Didn't seem to wake her. The smell of Fire now was thick. She nuzzled her head around more and stopped and snuggles in a little ball more.
She mewed somewhat and wagged her tail so her feathers could warm her up a little. Even though she felt heat.
The .. sun? She thought. Still in her dreamland and yet in some tacted with the real world. "Elenshi... fire..fire..." She now thought of him since the smell of him was so thick in her nose. Reminding her of him. She snorted and wiggled around her nose; nodding now.

Smiling, Elenshi couldn't help but think of how beautiful she was while sleeping. Still...this was an opportunity not to be missed. Moving around until he was in front of her, he stared at her closed eyes, blowing gently towards her nose. Almost every creature he'd tried this with woke within moments, and in the first moments after waking unintentionally showed what they really thought of him in their startlement. It was a chance he couldn't pass up - especially after his conversation with the Christmas numa.

Beatrice now had the wind blowing on her nose. This was unfortunate. She really wanted to stay dreaming. She moved her nose around some. And with some minor delays from her rejecting to mover she woke up as a nervous reck and yelling. "ELENSHI DONT GOOOO!!!!Te QUIERO! Te Te AM-" She opened her eyes gun shot to find his face greeting her and she slipped on the branch feeling as she was gunna fall.
Her hind paws slipped off and she fell back first.

Horrified that his little prank had caused her to slip and possibly get hurt again, Elenshi lunged forward to grab her. "I've got you!"

In her more than turkey-ish instincts she latched on to him; clinging as she was shaking for pure horror. She shivered more and some of her less thicker feathers sprouted out and some even shook off of her. A feather got on her nose and she blinked at him. Surprised that the numa was one she knew and cared for. She clinged on to him now calming down. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" She exclaimed as her heart was still in some marathon.

Elenshi clung to her as well, terrified that she'd nearly been hurt. "I came to see you."
The flame-colored numa berated himself repetitively. I should've waited to try that until sometime when she was safely on the ground!

Her. Being naturally owner or friend of this tree she twirl positions so that they were now in the middle of the tree. A little bundle of leafs were set there as a bed for her; when she gathered them up. She nuzzled his face then tilted her head at his response. "Well. Why? Me?" She had been afraid that she was occupying his time more and more. This... she felt hadn't been the nice thing to do. Maybe she should try letting go?
She pondered this a moment as she gazed at him. Not knowing she was; she was at a daze. Yelling at herself in mind that itd be painful to just let go!? No. She wouldn't ever; ever think that again... unless he didnt want her around....
She slicked her ears back. "Ah.... hm. I would think that people get tiresome of people they see everyday." She didn't think this to be true. She always wanted to stay close with her friends and even waking up to see some was joy. Meeting new numas... was hard though. So she had rather stay close with friends. Not thinking them to be annoying at the least. rather enjoyable. She gave him a bright smile. His presence was enjoyable. And charished.

Elenshi hesitated. Did this mean she didn't want him around? Then he remembered what she'd yelled as she woke, and was reassured. Somehow, maybe she thought he was tired of being around her. He quickly spoke to reassure her. "I could never get tired of being around you, Beatrice. Unless..." Although he thought this wasn't the case, he had to ask. "...Are you tired of me?"

Beatrice looked at him. Then tilted her way in the reverse motion. "I could.. couldn't get tired of you. Your. Your FIRE!" She said as if it made complete sense to her and all the world.
She wagged her feathery tail giggling. It was funny that he would ask the same question. She pawed at his snout some. "Don't you trust me?" She said with a bright smile. Not knowing what she said to him in her dream; if he heard or not.

Elenshi grinned. "Of course I trust you. I just don't trust myself to be good enough for you."
She liked his fire? She liked his fire! He'd worried about that - his flame markings had scared others off before.

She blinked some. She always liked his fire. Thats how she identified him as; fire. She flickered her feather tail barely touching his nose in a flirtatious way. "Heh. Good enough for me?" She nuzzled him. "Well. How could you know that?" She had then now changed to her knowledgeable self as she had met his human. "I believe we all have opinions that others think more less of. But sometimes they might get them wrong.... or misinterpreted. You shouldn't doubt yourself though... I care about you. "
She smiled softly. She had truely and deeply cared for him. Or she wouldn't be around him? She pawed at her ear. "Were you the wind?" She asked twitching her ears.
