It just kinda dawned on me that their are usually 5 of something in the games, or at least the ones with a number in the title. In Suikoden 1 you've got 5 blacksmiths, in Suikoden 2 you've got 5 squirrels, in Suikoden 3 you've got 5 dogs, in Suikoden 4 you've got 5 mermaids, and I won't say what you have five of in Suikoden 5 since that may be a spoiler for some people. Do you guys think this has any symbolic meaning or is this just some tradition in the games like the Silverbergs?

There's a of 5's in the whole series.
5 ELEMENTAL RUNES HOMGWTF. Syke naw.
I do know that Kisara secretly has 5 nipples.
And hey! maybe the heroes have five... nevermind.

5 (five) is a number, numeral, and glyph. It is the natural number following 4 and preceding 6.
The SI prefix for 10005 is peta (P), and for its reciprocal femto (f).
5 is the Atomic Number of Boron.
Almost every reptile, mammal, and amphibian has five toes or fingers.
There are five senses, and five tastes.
5 is the number of points in a pentagram...gasp

Coco Holi I think it's tradition more than anything, Yeh? Probably so, but I wanted to see what others thought and apparently it's just a joke when I was asking the question out of curiousity for that very reason.
