Here's how it goes:

We start with an imagined title for a fantasy, scifi, or horror movie. Somebody pitches an idea for a movie based on that title, then they make up their own title, and the next one makes it into a movie idea.

It was all inspired by this following chat:
Quote:
Make up a horror movie based on this title
Fuzzy Necromancer says:
then give me a title to work with

First title:

Blue Harvest
PostPosted: Sun Mar 11, 2007 11:36 pm

I am goning to violate your rules by going to forgein drama.

Blue Harvest is the story of poor French peasent famliy during the late 1400's. The story is mostly focused on the famliy patriarch Joelbert and his quest to keep his famliy from starving during Europe's "mini ice age." As the movie progress Joelbert grows increaslying more critical of feudal and reglious insitutions, this trend continunes until the movie's climax were he burns down the local chapel. The problem with this plot is that Joelbert is is given the mindset by the writer of a 19th century Marxist. But at the same time Joelbert is not a totally enlighted hero figure as can be seen by his physical abuse of his daughters. Blue Harvest is an inresting movie for covering a period of history often ignored, but the movie suffers from lack of clear message or even a totally accurature portyal of that era.

It reads like a true review. ^_^ I like.

However, Steve, you violated another rule, which is that after posting your idea, you have to post a title for the next person to work with.

Me, You, and Badiou is a brave attempt to combine politics, comedy, and monster horror.

Something is boiling in the sewers of France, and it's not the dead rats or discarded cheese wax. An influential member of the french government has been selling nuclear weapons to the Republic of Congo, and Alain Badiou has been feeling the body heat of several thousand acusatory fingers. The story darts between following Badiou in his attempts to defend his ideology without implicating himself in the scandal (and maintains a suspenseful ambiguity as to whether or not the left wing philosopher is really to blame), the struggles of a disadvantaged and persecuted arab immigrant man with the misfortune to be named "Osama Hussein", and the dissappointing cultural experience of Infidelity Shmidt, an overweight student abroad from Sarah Lawrence college.

A sharp transition shot gives us a first-hand look at one of the arms deals, with some veiled hints about the identity of the traitor. Things turn awry, however, when the seller, already a little tipsy with merlot and weakened by indigestion, is drugged and beaten to death with a rod of enriched uranium. As radiation enters the dying man's nerve stem, strange chemical reactions occur, and rare fungal and bacterial cultures from cheese lodged in his teeth begin an unwholesome symbiotic relationship that yeilds monsterous fruit.

Back above-ground, Monsier Badiou tries to improve his standing and ease off the political heat by installing the ceremonial silver metal washer on the water and DWV piping of a community housing project. At the same moment, Osama tries to make some spare francs by fixing the feed lines for somebody's washing machine, and Infidelity tries to find the source of that incessant dripping in her overpriced hotel room.

At the same moment, each of these unfortunate souls feel a paralyzing shock as cold wet hyphae burst from the pipes and wrap around their bodies, and they find themselves spirited away to the sewers of Paris.

Leftist, immigrant, and american must turn to each other to fight their way out of the subterranian kingdom of monsters. The hellspawned brain-like floating fungoids are armed with alcoholic breath blasts, bioelectric current, and telepathic powers strong enough to pick up liberal thoughts from 144 metres away.

This ragtag team will have to rely on each other to sneak and fight their way out of the yeasty nightmare while struggling to think "right". Will they find success, life, and a little love, or will Paris be plunged into a happily hammered dystopia by their new brain-rot overlords? The answer is in the hands of me, of you, and of Badiou.

Troll 6: This time it's about trolls.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 13, 2007 5:05 pm

Troll 6: This time it's about trolls is quite possibly this year's greatest sleeper film. After the wildly panned and highly symbolic Troll 5: Sins of the Father, many Troll fans have been calling for a 'back to basics' film. A superfical glaze at this movie and it is exactly what it promises, rural Neveda town is besieged by an army of Trolls.

What makes Trolls intresting is not the Trolls. But what is intresting is the charcther delevopment which is seemless attachted (This is espcially true of Jessica's romance with Kyle). Unlike Trolls 5 that presents the Trolls as symbols of insecurity and doubt in people's lives, in Trolls 6 a troll is is simply a troll.

Critics of this movie have called it a 'modernist travesty' and that is 'sacfrices meaning for some superifical notion of realism'. But I disagree. Trolls 6 is a powerful story about ordinary people faced with extraoridnary situation.

Steve, you're awesome. I love you. You speak with what the voice of the nation would be if the nation had better education and was just a little more snide.

That said, you still forgot to contribute another title.
