"Come back, bug! I won't eat you!"
The millipede - which wasn't really going very fast, in hindsight - was totally oblivious to the girl in the cat hoodie in hot pursuit of it. It was, in fact, thinking little millipede thoughts about leaves it had had for lunch, and the leaves it was currently planning on for dinner.
Uziri wanted the little hundred-legged thingie, and jogged after it. She'd never seen such a thing before, and she liked to think she was the Grand Queen of Bugs. One escaping her knowledge was utterly unforgivable.
"Come back! I will give you Da's bed to live in!"
Isaiah, walking a short distance away, blinked and tugged a headphone off his ear.
"No you won't," he said sternly.
Uziri ignored Iz.
"I will," she whispered conspiratorially to the millipede, striking an arm out and seizing it at last. "And I will name you Poofle."

But Uziri didn't have a hold on that bug for long. Quite simply it was snatched from her little hand with a soft purr and .... A cat ate it?! Yep. A fairly beautiful cat with dazzling green eyes just slurped the bug down like a spaghetti noodle. It's tail swished contently behind it, a small roar of a meow given. Around it's neck was a simple black collar and a golden name tag reading 'Jasper' across the middle.
From behind it, a small child came running and shouting, "Jaaasppeeeeerrrr!" Shayla looked worried as her little kitty ran away. It wasn't the first time the cat wandered off, and it usually came back. But she still worried. Spotting him, she rushed over towards where the cat was sitting.

Uziri gaped. Her bug. Her Poofle. Gone forever, slurped like a little hundred-legged noodle. Her eyes stretched wide, jaw hung open, and Uziri looked at the cat as though it was eyeing her for dessert.
"You," she said to the cat seriously, pointing at it. "Are a bad thing. I do not like you, fuzzy thing. I do not like you at all."
At the cry of 'Jasper', Zee looked up, face scrunched up to fight back tears from the sudden heartbreaking bug-loss. Hmm. New girl. With horns. Neat.
"Hello," she said, in utter seriousness. "Help me open this cat. I am going to get my bug."

Shayla blinked a bit as she skidded to a stop. There was a girl... with a very neat coat. And Jasper.
Jasper was sitting there, looking content as he licked his paw. Yeah, he just had an easy meal why wouldn't he be content?
Frowing, Shayla went over and scooped him up into her arms. "We cannot open Jasper! He's my kitty!" She explained, snuggling the fur of her kitten. "Isn't he cuuuuuuuuuute?!"

"But he slurped my bug," Zee said plaintively, frowning. She would not acknowledge the cuteness of this bug-murderer, she just couldn't do it....no matter how fluffy he was...or how cute his ears were, or how pretty his eyes...
"Nnngh."
It was a sound of defeat, and Zee petted Jasper's head.
"He's fluffy," she admitted. "An' fuzzy. He is not a bug, but he is almo' as good."

Shayla giggled a little, holding the kitten under the arms as she put him at arms length. "Say hi Jasper!" She ordered, all but shoving the cat in Uziri's face.
Jason, as cute as ever, meowed lightly before leaning his head in and licking the other girls nose.
This caused Shayla to squeal as she brought the cat close to her person again, giggling softly. "Oh Jasper you so silly!" She muttered, kissing his nose before setting him down onto the ground.
Looking at Uziri, she smiled brightly. "You have kitty ears to!" Pointing to her own head where Uziri's ears were, she giggled again "I ain't got ears but I got horns. OH! My name is Shayla, whats your name?"

Stunned that such a heartless bug-killer could be so sweet and give her a sandpaper-tongued kiss, Uziri gave a crooked smile.
"I s'pose you're not so bad," she told the cat. She turned her attention to Shayla, the crooked smile widening.
"I am a kitty-squid," she said, nodding. "Da said so."
She exhibited her "squid" half, waving to Shayla with one of her aura's tendrils.
"My name is Uziri," she added, preening. The 'z' in her name always made a funny feeling in her mouth when she said it, it was dreadfully entertaining.

Shayla giggled a bit as she watched, eyeing the aura with interest. She silently echoed the word suqid as she tried to plance in her mind what it was. But, something else grabbed her attention.
"Ooooh. You gots a pretty necklace!" Sure... skulls weren't her thing but for some reason she sword she saw it somewhere else. Infact.... A confused look came upon her face as she looked up at Uziri. She looked... famliar. But why. She couldn't put her finger on it.

Uziri beamed, looking pleased.
"Thank'oo," she said, nodding and tugging at the necklace meditatively. "They glow. I 'unno why. Da say they's raid-o-akkiv."
Noticing Shayla's expression, Zee tilted her head to one side and mimicked it.
"Wha's wrong? You look like you swallowed a moth," she said. Because swallowing moths caused confusion. Clearly.

She frowned a bit more, scratching at the side of her cheek. "It's jes....." She started, biting her lip a bit. How to word it? "I see dat before.... Da necklace. But on a someboty else." Shrugging, she let it go and giggled.
"So, do you wanta play?" She asked, cocking her head to the side as she put her hands behind her back. Gently she leaned back and forward on her feet, thinking of a game they could play.

Uziri made a long, low 'hmm' kind of sound, reflexively biting at her fingers. Somebody else? What, like Irizu? No, it must've been Somebody Else. Irizu wasn't Somebody, she was Irizu. It made perfect sense.
"Maybe they's jeal...jell...jello-us," she said sagely. "Or copycats."
At the invitation, she brightened.
"Yes yes yes! Let's play Chupacabras! Jasper can be th' goat!"

"Copy cats.... No..." She forwned, "You look like her to.... Da name... Name... R- something..." She muttered, now chewing her lips as she thought. She had to think of-
"Eh?" Blinking, she cocked her head to the side. "Chupa-whatywhata?" She asked, "I unno what that is. And Jasper is a kitty not a goat." She explained, wondering if Uziri didn't remember that little fact.

Uziri snapped to attention.
"Irizu?" she said instantly. Her gnat-sized attention span flicked over to the next subject, and she sighed. No one ever wanted to play Chupacabras.
"Iss the chupathingy. It's the thingy that eats goats," she said. "Sucks their blood, yup! Sluuuuurp! Like a slushy!"
She examined Jasper then, rubbing her chin in thought.
"He would not make a good goat," she said, agreeing reluctantly.

"Yeah! Rizu!" She muttered, giving a huge nod. "She n' I played in da park and big kids picked on us.... But she did somefin weird and sent all da kids away." She explained, the other probably already knowing this if the two were sisters.
Though, Shayla made a face when the other talked of slurping up blood. That didn't at all sound yummy to her. But a slushy did. Specially the blue ones that turned her tongue blue!
"No... I dun think Jasper would make a good goat. But... we can play somethin else? Maybeeee..." She paused, trying to think of a good game. One that wouldn't cause her to run around and over heat. "Weeeeell... I dun live far from here... Jes round there. We can go play by my house.. go look for buggies and things near the pond since Jasper ate your buggie?"

Uziri preened with pride at the news of her sister's accomplishments.
"Did she eat 'em?" she asked eagerly. Her attention turned instantly to the new topic at hand, she nodded hard. New bugs! Yes, yes, that would be wonderful! "YEAH! And we can...we can, we can make 'em our pets and have them do stuff fer us. Like, like on this movie I saw? This guy, he had these spiders? And, and he made them do stuff. Like eat people. It was' awe-some."
