These massive mountains border the edge of the desert of time. These mountains are pure and shielded by an unknown spirit power, shielding itself from the undead. Although the fiends in these areas arent infected by the undead, the mountains are guarded by massive birds and carnivorous herbs. Within the mountains lie a sacred city, unknown to most of the new generations that live around the world.

The origin of the mountains started from a tribe. The tribe fled from the horrors of the undead and seeked refuge in the mountains of endless peaks. At the time, the population of the gruesome beast have yet to reach the mountain. Thus, the tribe created an ancient ritual where several of their members will be sacrificed in order to create peace for their people. The ritual was believed to give the sould of the sacrificed humans a holy power. However, these souls will be bound to the lands, in which they were sacrificed. The holy power of these souls repels all evil creatures or anyone with evil intent. Although it may seem powerful, there is a way to reverse the spell but unknown to anyone but the tribe themselves.

Someone is crying.

I can hear someone crying.

So much pain in her sobs. So much desperation in her tears. Her cry does not end.

I feel her hand reaching out to me. What does she want?

Should I offer my hand to her? She is so familiar to me.

I shed a tear. Followed by a thousand more. Her pain is my pain. Her sorrow is my sorrow. I am her. She is me.

We are one.

A wolf wakes up from its slumber and finds itself in a very unfamiliar place. The smell of the cave does not reek any sign of home. It sniffs around the dark hole for any sign of danger. Finally it decides to find a way out. His sense of smell tells it air is coming from the north side of the burrow. It slowly crawls through a rough narrow tunnel; digging his way out when the path seem impassable. Finally, it sees light up ahead. It moves on at the same pace; slowly nearing the exit.

A wolf's head pops out of the burrow. it surveys the area around it and found very curious plants. The smell and the feel of it all is so different from what it remembers.

"Remember?" It thought to itself. Slowly it lets itself out. "I remember something." it now realizes why it's there. Rather, He remembers why he's there. He has been asleep all these times only to wake up now. He vaguely remembers the dream he had before he woke. "I know what to do," he says to himself. He now stood on twos, his fur now his clothes; holding on to a pillar that sparkle to the light of the sun.

"What has gone wrong with the world?" He asks as he surveys the surroundings some more. He sees plants that he has never seen before. He senses the presence of flying creatures flying about.

"I," he declares. "Kalupaan, a druid, am awake at the whim of the Great Mother." He looks around. He feels the plants and the creatures now at peace of his presence. He bows to them. Then sets off to observe what has awakened him. He fears for the worst.

Lecta stared at Draku smiling reasuringly"Yes...I will help dont worry..."she said in a low comforting voice"No worries alright..."she added running a hand along his right cheek and smiled"Its alright to cry..you know that right...You should just let it all out if you have to. It will will hurt more if you hold it in...."her eyes that glowed strong with white. Seemed to have faded, now. Not as bright, seeing her friend in pain...was harmfull...

"All my tears have already dried up that day." he says, "It would be difficult for me to cry again. No amount of sorrow can ever strike me again like so."

Sorrow, turns to strength. Strength to rise once again and save the world's people from suffering the same fate as his. Draku would not allow himself, nor anyone to experience his past. He left the once prospering village and onto 'Meldonar', Lecta's city. Their lies a new hope for him, and perhaps hope for Alerna.

"I havent seen both of you training lately. Too tired?" he says, partial sadness fading.

"Oh...we desided to trai when we get to Meldonar..."she let out a soft laugh, staring up at Serobi and smirked"I just think he's lazy..."she commented. There was a second water fall on the mountain"Come..."she demanded"See the cave that the water is comming out of?"she asked, staring back at the three and grinned"There...is werre we have to go...".

((This reminds me of Farthen Dur lol.))

"I see." he says blankly and follows the running waters. "We are so close!"

Draku observed what Lecta had pointed out and stared for a few seconds. Moving on, he came to a quick jog as he closed into the intended destination.

"I'm not lazy," he says. "If it werent for that vampire and Nathanial's forest property, you would be on your way to obtain 'power'." he grumbled as he followed behind Lecta. "Say, is the city right behind the cave or a few kilometers in?"

"The rest of the mountain is an illusion"Do you not notice that the rest of the mountain is straight up?"she asked staring back at Serobi and smirked.
"See how there are no edges to grab onto after that waterfall?"she added and grinned wide"There...is Meldonar..."she announced, walking up to the edge of the mountain"These...are stairs...if you can tell...Small, slippery...You need good balance to climb this...That is why, the undead have not bin capable of reaching us. There stupid, and there arms are not strong enough to hold there weight.

"That's very fortunate of you to have this kind of defense." he says. "Now, imagine. If every single city had this type of defense, we could probably reduce casualties by 75%."

Serobi continued to walk at his pace and enjoyed the mist which came from the water bodies. Suddenly, a white substance fell on his face and melted into water. Huh? Snow?!

It was the coming end of autumn here in Marlboro but somehow, the tree leaves didnt change color and fell in anyway. It must be from the glacial peaks of the exceptionally large mountains reaching over 6000m high.

Kalupaan comes upon a group of people talking near a waterfall. They were an interesting bunch. He means to talk to them but is taken aback by the thought that these may be one of the cause for the Great Mother's pain.

He devices a plan.

A wolf observes the group at a distance. It's fur brown to fit the season; wearing a curious jeweled wooden band on his right foreleg. It just stands there about 30 paces away, seemingly just wandering around but clearly following them. The snow slowly falls.

She placed her hand to the edge the waterfall was comming from. And a part of her hand dissapiered thru the Illusion"Dont worry. Just climb up alright. Then...We will be in Meldonar."she let out a soft laugh, pulling herself up onto the cliff and her figure dissapiered as she stepped onto the cliff. She could see them"Serobi...I am quite sure your kind uses these kind of things to prevent yourself from bieng known...am I not right...? Well anyway, when we get to see my grandmother, and tell her about our arrival. You all will be treated greatly...And nathanial can get his fur washed, trimmed and claws sharpened..."she giggled and smiled from behind the Illusion.

Nathanial let out a howl close behind the group. He had been following silently all the way here and made sure not to be seen till now. It wasn't that he was purposely hiding from them it was that if anyone where following them he would want to get the drop on the stalkers. If they had turned around they would have seen small blotches of white along his fur. He had been tracking through heavy snow and thus had some fall within his fur and get stuck. He was behind the wolf now, the wolf that he had watched follow the group for a while now. If he himself hadn't been a lycan he probably would not have noticed the wolf. However, being a lycan he knew the ordinary patterns of a natural wolf and knew that this wolf's actions were anything, but ordinary. He leaned over now moving in speed only something as superhuman as a lycan could achieve and moved in close to the wolf. He took a big sniff with his nose before looking up to the group and yelling, "We have been followed it seems. This wolf smells of earth and of fur, but underneath is the scent of man. He is no natural wolf just something wearing its skin." He then looked down at the wolf before saying, "Show yourself man...You may be able to fool the noses of most creatures, but not of I. I am Nathanial ex-Ulfric of the White Wolf Pack and demand you show me your true form."

Kalupaan (Kah-Loo-Pah-An) was tackled from behind. His sense of smell still hasn't fully developed yet after that long slumber.

"Show yourself man...You may be able to fool the noses of most creatures, but not of I. I am Nathanial ex-Ulfric of the White Wolf Pack and demand you show me your true form," a wolf demands.

It is the way of the Druid to offer his name to those who truthfully give theirs. This beast was not lying. The sound of his voice was too filled with pride and honor to lie.

He reverts to his true form, slowly towering the noble beast. His wooden band grew to a huge jeweled wooden log that may be as tall as him which he casually carries over his shoulder, held by one hand with a handle shaped by vines.

"I am Kalupaan," he gestures a peculiar wave with his free left hand as if gesturing a formal greeting. "Druid to the Order of the Red Wood. I have awoken from a long slumber and found a new world grown from the same Mother. Your pack has stimulated my curiosity; thus, i am here."

"Confide in me what catastrophe has befallen upon our Great Mother, noble beast," he whispers his requests as he kneels and leans closer to the wolf while gently piercing his log to the ground. "I sense her in pain, but I cannot see what has caused it. The new floras and faunas refuse to talk to me. Perhaps you carry some knowledge that can assist me."

"You are, Lecta, partially correct. Actually," he says and halts in his tracks after hearing Nathanial's voice. Turning, it seems that the Lycan has exposed a stalker. "We use a complex system of secluded rooms and mazes in which trials the entering stranger. They are complex enough that only the wise one, and his colleuges have knowledge to open the gates. After the gates have opened, it is followed by a series of secluded hallways that only the ones who live in the city have the knowledge to unlock its secrets and know the exit. Every aspect involving this tight security is bonded together by impenetrable concrete. Magic is imbedded in this defense. Magic that only the first born of the elves created. We were only ambushed by the undead upon exiting the city. Otherwise, the undead would have died, losing themselves in the cloister of trials."

After concluding his sentence, he casually approached Nathanial and the stranger, dragging the pure white snow beneath his pants.

"Perhaps you carry some knowledge that can assist me." was all his ears picked up from the whispering stranger, despite his keen sense of hearing.

"State your purpose, stranger." he demands with a soft, monotonic voice. "Why do you follow us?"

The stranger dressed quite unusual and so was his staff. Serobi squinted his eyes for jewel imbedded in the staff reflected the bright sunlight that towered them. It was to his relief that no aspect of this person seemed hostile but that is no proper reason to lower his defense. His hands were always close to his daggers when approaching someone. It may portray him as paranoid, but it would be wise if he continues his habit. Perhaps it would actually pay off in the future.
