"Oh just get on out of here already!" Zelda laughed, shooing her friends out. They were the last ones at a rave in a warehouse near the docks. She was there with 2 of her sisters and their dates. She dressed in her extracute party outfit: a onesleeve pink blouse with black symbols on it, tight darkwash jeans, a pair of pink high heels that added about 2 inches at least to her, and lots of silver dangly jewelry. Black henna designs were drawn from her cheek down her exposed neck and bare arm, body glitter highlighting it. "I'll be right behind ya. Head on back to the dorms. I just got to lock up." she said, as the pairs ran out the door. She shut it behind them and walked around the place, taking the key and locking up each of the doors upstairs. She sighed, this was more time consuming than she thought it would be. And it was dark...and cold... She began walking down the stairs, and apparently missed the first step, and her heel got caught on the edge of the first one, and she tumbled down, tangling herself up. And landing on top a board with a sharp rusty nail sticking out of it. A pool of wet warmth surrounding her, she made an attempt to scream, but it came out as her last breath. Darkness was all she saw around her, engulfing her. Her friends, far from sober, didn't wait up and headed back to their dorms, narrowly escaping the campus police. Then passed out before they remembered Zelda wasn't with them.

Little did she know that her death had been caused by spirits from a world she had never heard of. Their job was to cause the death of guardians-people from gaia or The Samadueanna chosen by unknown means-so that their souls could be bonded with that of a Tison god or goddess that they would care for. It was the job of these spirits also to repair the body and clean up the mess that death made. Because when the spirits of the guardian and god were combined the guardian had to be brought back to life and it's rather hard to be brought back to life if your body is broken to bits.
After they had vanished Zelda's body to their realm and cleaned it, they placed a golden chain around her neck. This chain would later hold a relic which would be the house for the soul of the god when Zelda was returned to her body. After all if there was no relic to hold it, the soul would go into the guardian's body and that wouldn't work right.
Then two teams of spirits got to work. One team took her soul to the realm where the dead deities' souls reside. This is where the bonding would take place though neither would remember it.
Meanwhile the other team left the woman's body on the tison space ship the Samadueanna. For a change the staff members were busy like crazy so the ever helpful 6 year old fire deity, Diyaka, took the message from the spirits that a new guardian had arrived. Picking up a small hand held computer that had all of Zelda's information magically on it, he walked to the indicated room and waited for the lady to wake up. He couldn't really read what it said but he guessed it was important for him to have that thingy since Mommy did that when she greeted guardians.
When Zelda's soul had bonded with that of a goddess a relic appeared on the chain and the bonded souls were sent back to their respective bodies-the goddess to the relic and Zelda to her body.

Zelda recalled seeing a bright light, and that light grew brighter and brighter in the darkness that had engulfed her, until she could no longer stand it. Her eyes, slowly, fluttered open. Her limbs, she assumed felt extremely heavy, and it would be useless in attempting to move them. Still, she tried, and they did move, with surprising ease. She looked at them, then around her, blinking furiously, "Wh,what happened? Where am I?" she asked, in sheer amazement. That fall must've hurt me more than I thought. I feel...almost fine. "am I...dead?" she asked, gasping, and holding a hand to her mouth as she uttered it. No. She couldn't believe she just said it. Saying something made it all the more possible!

At the foot of her bed the small black haired boy stood, a set of pigtails behidn his head. His large purple eyes blinked a moment before he spoke. "I unno." he told her, leaning forward to poke her. "You don't look dead and you don't feel dead. But I've never seen a dead person so I don't know. I'm Dia who are you?" he said cheerfully. Had he been able to read the computer he'd have known that

Zelda leaned over, and saw the small boy. She blinked. He looked strange. She swung her legs off the bed, and sat up, testing to make sure they wouldn't give way. They seem sturdy...maybe I can..walk. "Come to think of it... neither have I... I'm Zelda by the way." She stood up, feeling actually ok, only slightly dizzy still. She brushed herself off, feeling no pain, only a slight soreness from having her muscles so tense. Her scratches and marks were even gone from her arms, "Oh wow..." she looked around, still in awe, "Where am I?" she asked again out loud.

Diyaka grinned broadly. "Hi Zelda! You're in my house-it's a space ship Mommy says. Mommy runs it. People show up here who are supposed to be guardians and Mommy tells them that they're gonna be guardians and then she answers their questsions and tries to guess which god they got and then they go home. Do you have a funny necklace on? Cause then you're a guardian!" he told her, bouncing on his heels. He was very small for his age and also very chatty.

Zelda stared at the small child, her eyes growing especially wide when he said words like 'space ship,' 'guardians.' and 'god.' She blinked furiously at the boy, trying to understand. Then looked down at her neck: indeed there was a gold chain there that she had not recognized there. And she already, without even noticing before, began fidgeting with it with her spare hand. Her eyes grew wide, and she thrusted her hands to her sides. Then knelt down to the boy's eye level and looked at him. "Ok...where is this 'Mommy' of yours and can she tell me better what's happening to me?" she asked in simple language so he could understand. She was border edge freaking out, but there was a child in the room, so she'd play the rational babysitter for the moment.

"Mommy's not home today. She had to go away with Dartie. Mommy was going to leave me with Feejhu and Steve and Miss Tan Pan but they all went on a trip to see Miss Tan Pan's Mommy with Karyn. Everyone else is busy. So I came to tell you what's going on like Mommy does. She lets me come along with her when she tells people so I know what stuff to tell you." the boy said cheerfully. He missed his Mommy and Dartie and Karyn.

"...I see.." Zelda said in a rational tone of voice as she stood back up. "Well, in that case, I'll let myself out. Thanks for the story, kid. But I'm outtie." she said, waving at the boy with the back of her hand as she headed where she thought was out of the room. This...this is just TOO insane! I've gotten myself so drunk I almost believed I was in a spaceship, becoming a guardian to some god! Little kids! She groaned, annoyed.

Dia blinked a few times and followed her out. "But the computer thing didn't blink saying we're near where we're supposed to put you down. If you go to the transporter room now you'll get dropped into outer space." he said, indicating the small PDA like thing in his hand with a picture of her at the top of it and information on her listed on it.
Luckily for Dia, when Zelda walked out of the room, the hallway she walked into had a large window that showed the stars passing by outside.

Zelda snatched the PDA from the boy and looked at it, stopping in the hallway to read it. Her eyes widened, "this...this is.." all my personal information! my name, address, birthday, family, personality, WHETHER OR NOT I'M A VIRGIN?!!! She screamed, and thrusted it back into the little boys' hands. "I have to get out of here! Something...Something's NOT kosher!" she started walking, her eyes squinched shut, until she ran into the window that was right in front of her, she saw all the stars passing by the outside of the ship. She leaned against the glass, and slowly slid/sank to the floor. Her eyes held shut tightly again, as she tried to will it all away. I'm still at the party, I'm still at the party! If only she had worn her ruby slippers..

Diyaka blinked a few times and walked to her. "What's kosher mean? Is that like those Kosher pickles Mommy keeps buying? They're good on sandwiches." the boy said with a huge grin.

Zelda moaned, I REALLY don't want to deal with this! She sighed, blowing a bit of her hair out of her face, then looked up at the boy. "Surely you're not the ONLY person on this ship, Diya, right?" she sounded hopeful. She had to get out of this madhouse...fast!

Diyaka shrugged. "Dunno. But Mommy says guardians are only allowed to talk to special people till they get told stuff. Cause there could be a bad guy on the ship and we don't want them to know about what's going on." Dia said. He remembered his Mommy telling him that. She'd told Dia just in case he ever had to watch a guardian for a moment or two. "You gotta go back to the room so I can tell you the stuff. Then when the computer thing flashes I show you to the big transporter room and you stand on the thingy and I push the button and you go home." he said, pointing to the door.

Zelda sighed. "You know what? fine. You win." she groaned, standing up and walking back into the room. "What else is there you have to tell me?" she asked, finally believing this was the product of too much alcohol consumption, though she barely had any, and she'd have a killer hangover from this awful dream when she woke up in her nice pink fluffy bed 11am saturday morning.
