Updates
January 27th, 2008: (( Early morning )) Okay, with the February event coming up here really soon (with a Perrin that I did in it!), I realized... it's getting reeeally close to me having had Wray for a year. D: And he hasn't grown... this just won't do. So, to help me along, I've created a Notepad document listing what each RP post and journal entry will be about. Which, in turn, means he should be able to grow as soon as I can get it all written out! 8D And with what I've planned, it will be quite the adventure! *cough* Also need to get the image of Ryuuza inked and colored so I can finish her profile. >.>;;Past Updates January 11th-12th, 2008: Uhhh.... *cough* Yeah, bringing in the new year with (long overdue) continued adventures of the draconic mercenary and her protostar charge! These should be coming in more often now that I have some ideas for where I want the story to go, but free time may still pose an issue. In any case, it definitely won't take as long as it just did! >.>;
May 7th-8th, 2007: Yes, the ball has been rolling! Updated with a third and fourth RP post, as well as a journal entry! Also had it further explained to me that these posts aren't really necessary (or could be considered Journal Entries). Blah, I'm still doing 25 more posts in here before entering him in to be grown. biggrin
May 4th, 2007: Finally updated the journal with plot! The first couple RP posts are now up, and hopefully these will come much faster.
May 2nd, 2007: This update occurred really early in the morning, when I was suppose to be in bed. sweatdrop I got all of the information up that I currently can, most of which was done within that span of time I couldn't come online due to... internet difficulties. However, Wray's journal is now completely up! Now to get some action going with him~
March 16th-17th, 2007: First update! Tonight (and this morning), I'm setting up Wray's whole profile page. Hopefully, we can get things moving here soon!

Name Meaning: Wray is Scandinavian for "From the Corner," but the last name of Ladan the child had come with. It has no known meaning but for the mysterious meaning of the child himself.
Age: Protostar (months)

Hair: Softer than one would imagine on first glance, this young protostar child has downy-soft chocolate hair, layered in numerous shades that are extremely pleasing to the eyes. It is cut unevenly yet uniform, professionally yet can be quite messy at times. His hair grew in longer than the average protostar babe, giving him a more mature look about him. He has visibly longer hair in front of his ears, only adding to his charm.
Eyes: As Wray is still in his protostar stage, his eyes have yet to be revealed. Ryuuza has no doubt they will be beautiful, a real window into the soul, but for now the truth remains hidden.
Physique: Quite chubby with the baby fat he's put on as a child, Wray is otherwise pretty light for his age, yet still in the normal range. His head seems almost too big for his body at times, but this impression is lessened with the blanket wrapped around his round features. Although still quite young, the angles to his face are apparent, showing that he is very likely to grow up charming and handsome, very pleasing to the eyes.
Physical Traits: Most of his abnormal traits are hidden by the blanket he is always wrapped in, including the markings on his body. However, the aspect of Wray that really stands out on first glance at him are his pointed ears, an odd trait to have even as a starlet. However, these ears only accentuate his elf-like features and give him a very soothing appearance.
Clothing: As he is still but a protostar, a newborn among Gaian standards, the only clothing he bears is the blanket wrapped around his tiny body. This blanket, which Ryuuza adopted him in, seems to be an improtant part of Wray's life, a sort of lifeline in the world he inhabits. Decorated with pale hearts and a simple border, this lavender blanket will not leave Wray's possession.
Abilities: As he is still but a baby, Wray's abilities have not awakened yet. However, even at such a young age, it is apparent he is gifted with strong magical ability, something told to Ryuuza upon adoption.
Attitude: Still being a protostar, Wray's demeanor is a mystery to his guardian. However, the thoughts that race through his head depict a lonely soul, one very attached to the company of others and the feeling of touch. He is a very curious child, not afraid to stick his nose into things that intrigue him. He is very eager to learn, wether it be for academic purposes or to strengthen a friendship.
Likes: Wray tends to like a lot, being the curious boy he is. He enjoys figuring out how things work and what they do, what makes them tick and what drives them on. He likes to sleep, not only because he is a starlet of only months old but also because he can escape the harsh reality of the real world and pursue what he really wants out of life and learning about himself. He is a child that needs constant company, and likes to be around others, even if they make him upset or earn the badge of "enemy" from him. Presence alone is important to him, but relationships are stronger.
Dislikes: Although still developing, he has found one thing he dislikes the most. Being a child that needs the company of others, he is deathly afraid of being alone. Whoever the company is doesn't matter as long as he isn't by himself, which may one day lead to problems about the need for "privacy."

Abilities: As a "demon," she has many more abilities than the average human being. Her magical abilities can be classified down into being fire- and acid-based, but she also has the ability to transfer her abilities into an object or being by her touch; as such, she will often transfer her power into her ancient shamshir sword. Her abilities can oftentimes also be a detriment to getting close to anyone, leaving her very alert on everyday matters, especially when caring for a child.
Attitude: A cautious being, Ryuuza is used to being ridiculed as a "demon" even though she is more of an anthro: not bloodthirsty or power-hungry in the least bit. She is a guardian through-and-through, using all of her effort to protect what is dearest to her. Although cursed with harmful powers, she uses these to her advantage in battle, coersion, and concentration. She has a morbid sense of humor, but will use it in a way as to not hurt others' feelings -- that is, unless it is meant to as a threat. She is very devoted to family, friends, and honor, and would rather herself fall than to betray these beliefs. Her eyes are currently only for the baby Wray.
Likes: Above all else, Ryuuza holds honesty, honor, respect, devotion, and relationships in highest regard. A warrior by blood, she uses her powers and abilities to protect that which is most dear to her and others, a hobby in its own way. Her maternal instincts have kicked in over Wray, and she currently spends most of her time making sure that the young one is happy and healthy. Other quirks about her include her fascination with the changing of seasons, the meanings behind plants and trees, and her fondness for toffee. She also finds humor as a telling sign of intelligence, and respects it as well as enjoys it.
Dislikes: Anyone that disregards their humanity or uses someone to their benefit automatically earns them Ryuuza's disgust. She hates people who will ignore the needs of the whole and focus solely on themselves, a personality flaw she thinks should be frowned upon. She hates it when others are unhappy, but knows very well that sometimes there is nothing she can do. She dislikes unnecessary bloodshed, and will get depressed at the mention of a life that could have been saved.

Ryuuza had grown up in a loving home, one that nurtured the children with the utmost care and devoted everything to the family itself. The girl was shielded from the horrors of everyday life on the streets of Gaia, knowing only her parents and sister, Otomeza, as the world. Life went well, although slightly boring, for the draconic clan -- at least as far as the sisters knew. Their parents had a hard time shielding the two of them from the difficulties they endured when being labelled as "demons," but tried their best to bring them up to be chivalrous, despite others' reactions to them.
Ryuuza always got concerned when her parents came home battered and bruised, something that could be difficult to do against dragon scales. They tried to reassure them that nothing was wrong and not to worry, but this didn't help soothe Ryu's outlook. Otomeza couldn't help but obey, being the submissive yet carefree spirit that she was, and tried to lighten her older sister's worries.
The Ekibyougami clan always had it hard, as many Gaians did, but that didn't stunt the two sisters in caring. They went their seperate ways as adults, Otomeza wanting to lead as normal a life as possible and raising a family, and Ryuuza becoming the protector of those in need. She never sees herself as something special, but rather what she hopes is inside everyone else. She has had many odd jobs in her many years as such a guardian, but none so odd as to take care of little Wray Ladan.
Wray managed to grasp hold of her heart upon adoption, something she thought she wasn't ready for. Seeing as it wasn't a permanent job of being a caretaker she had been sure she could handle it, but the more she stays with the child the more she becomes attached. She knows that one day they must go their seperate ways, but will she be ready when that time finally comes?

Protostar Phase
Wray in his newborn, protostar phase. As a child, he is prone to long bouts of silence and he sleeps constantly. He tends to have bad dreams, which oftentimes unnerves his caretaker, Ryuuza. He is a mysterious boy, but loves it when he is held. Cute, huh?

Being newly-adopted isn't easy, and it shows in the living arrangement Ryuuza has set up. Not only is the house sparse, but what belongs to Wray personally is small.
There is a small closet of hangers in his room, doing their job by holding up toddlers' clothes. However, since Wray is not old enough to fit into these clothes, they remain new and untouched. The only article of clothing already in his possession is the milky lavender blanket he was adopted in, which he seems to hold in high regard.
There are a few toys in a small chest in the room, palely decorated yet beautiful in appearance. The toys are there to improve motor skills, toys only tiny children would play with. However, in the closet there are a few toys to help with the development of his problem-solving and other such skills for when he grows old enough.

Although not a familiar or a pet, Eri the Perrin Sprite has grown a distinct liking to the baby Wray. It helps Ryuuza care for him, but other than that can get on her nerves. It is incessant at chatter, loving to make conversation even when asked politely not to. S/he will get the hint if it is forced onto him/her, but it is hard to stop. All-in-all, Eri makes a good companion... if you can stand his/her hyperness!

Appearance: The home of Ryuuza and Wray Ladan is a small, rather homey-looking house, looking to be an unpainted cottage, displaying the natural beauty of the wood on its surface. There are a couple windows on the front of the house, and at least one on either of its other sides. The home is placed in an almost out-of-the-way place in Alcyone, a countryside about a half hour's walk from the main cities, a trail leading along the way to Wasat in front of the house, surrounded by bushes and flowers to brighten the outlook. A stream runs on the opposite side of the trail, making for a serene atmosphere and a perfect place, it seems, to raise a young Starlet. The front yard is not much more than a wide area of grass before running into the trail, visible from the front stoop. Hanging by the front door under the protection of the roof is a windchime, a single string with a piece of partchment on the lower end hanging from a ball that hits the circular outer shell when a person approaches.
Layout: Being such a small home, there is not much in the way of furnishings, let alone many rooms. The first thing one sees upon entering through the front door is the living room, rather large and leading into a small alcove in the back and the kitchen to the left. The alcove has the bathroom to its right and the door to the backyard to its left. The kitchen, being smaller in size than the family room, has a short hallway near the alcove that leads from the living room, past the kitchen and down into the bedrooms, Wray's on the left and Ryuuza's on the right. At the end of the hallway is the door to the laundry room, often closed due to the noise the washer makes.
Living/Family Room: Bare of the electronics one would think to see, the family room has a square panel in the middle of the room of stone slates used for a slicker floor, surrounded by the carpet that covers the majority of the other rooms. The stone panelling is currently used for Ryuuza's meditation, but is used for numerous other things as well. Positioned around the stone flooring is a sofa large enough for three people to sit themselves in, a recliner, and a small coffee table between the two. A window shines light in from the right-hand side of the room directly upon the stone floor, giving it an almost spiritual look to it.
Kitchen: The kitchen is separated from the family room by a single, long countertop used to prepare, serve, and eat food at, two stools situated on the opposite side from the kitchen for the hungry. The part of the tabletop that is attached to the front from the preparing area has a sink, and at the far wall include the stove, microwave, and toaster. Cupboards line the walls above the appliances on the far wall, holding plates, bowls, glasses, and other such eating surfaces. Attached to the countertop on the kitchen-side are a pair of drawers for utensils and other such things needed for preparation, and below these drawers are the storing areas for the pots and pans. All-in-all it is a tight fit, but its home.
Bathroom: The bathroom consists of the regular plumbing: a shower at the back of the room, a toilet on the far wall, directly in front of the shower, and a counter that consists of a sink as well as useful for a surface. Under the sink holds a storing area for the cleaning supplies (which Ryuuza readily keeps locked) and on the other side holds a column of drawers holding band-aids and other such needed items. The mirror at the back of the sink functions also as a medicine cabinet, a lock on the side facing the toilet that is kept just that way: locked.
Wray's Bedroom: A small room, Wray's bedroom will only ever be able to fit a twin-sized bed, bookcase, and large chest and still be comfortably open. However, as of now the bed is replaced with a crib in the center-back end of the room, the bookcase being on the far wall against the laundry room. Next to the bookcase is the chest, one currently used as a toy chest but large enough to hold much more. The closet on the other end of the room holds a pitiful amount of room to hand clothes, only ever being able to hold full-sized shirts and nothing more, while below this area are drawers to hold undergarments, socks, and a few larger ones for pants and larger garments. A rug designed in the pattern of Wray's favorite blanket decorates the empty space in front of the bookshelf, in front of the doorway. The door is always open, in case the tiny protostar cries for anything.
Ryuuza's Bedroom: Ryuuza's room is about the same size as Wray's, so lacks in the furnishings of the average room. It consists of a twin-sized bed in the far left-hand side of the room closest to the door, a bookshelf opposite the bed on the left side of the room full of books on bettering ones techniques, battle strategy, zen, and other such informational things. On the other side of the room is a dresser with her clothing stored in the drawers, a stand on top to display her shamshir when not carrying it around. A small stand by her bed holds a bed lamp and room for a book, if she so desires to read in the dark of night. Her room is left open while she is in it, just in case little Wray needs anything.
Laundry Room: As with the rest of the house, the laundry room is small yet large enough for its purpose, if uncomfortably so. The whole lower half of the back wall is covered by the washer and dryer, set side-by-side. Above the washer and dryer is a shelf used to hold baskets to carry clothes, though these are hardly ever used. Tehre is not much room to move about in in the leftover space, so the doors are usually kept open when someone is working on the laundry.
Backyard: Not much is there for the backyard but for empty countryside and, in the distance over the hills, the cities just a long walk away. There are a couple of trees here and there, but for the most part it is empty land. Ryuuza is forced to keep a close watch on Wray when he is out here because of the lack of fencing, but exploration while she is around is nothing bad.
