I was just selling small game items(paper, flowers, etc.) tonight and this person called "new mont new items" pm's me talking about banning my account if I don't give him my personal information. It seemed too suspicious so I just told him I wasn't going to reveal my password to him. I told him my username and email address and that was it. Has anyone else recieved a pm from this guy recently?

That was an attempt to steal your password, never respond to any information asking for your information, just report them. Gaia will never ask you for information, why should they? They already have it.

Very good point. The only thing that got me was that you couldn't see their avi when you click on his profile. The admin is like that, that's why I was thrown offguard. I still got the pm so I'm gonna report this guy now.

but can't you gust go to forgot password because i thought it askes for the username and the email adress too

That's supposed to send me an email with my password so he wouldn't go far there either

Report him. I have been told that a lot of scammers are getting banned lately. The higher ups are trying to clean up the site.

yeah even though you couldnt see the avi doesnt mean he is an admin. it depends on what color the name is.
black is usually regular gaians
and green i think is an admin

ok i got pretty much the same thing asking for my password and email
and he said my account would be banned if i didnt give it to him
i reported him and what caught my eye was it was spelled [amd]
now im worried

He's a fraud. Admins, mods, ect. never ask for personal info. If they need it, they can check the gaia database. Report him before someone really believes him.
