Anyone else a fan of Discworld?
I wouldn't really say I'm much a fan of it, but I do really love the computer game (The first one, released in 1995.) My dad used to own nearly all the books, but we threw them out when we moved, which really annoyed me when I suddenly remembered the game a little while ago and couldn't read any of the books. I've got 'Amazing Maurice' (somewhere) but thats it bookwise. But..I still have the 12 year old disc for the game! It's extremely scratched, but with the aid of some toothpaste I polished it (alot) this morning and finally got it to work! I couldn't get the sound to work, but the rest of it does, and I finished it about half an hour ago (with lots of help from a walkthrough off the internet.)
This probably seems like nothing to loads of people, and I expect everyone thinks I'm really bored and have nothing else to do, but I'm really really happy. Mostly because the game was a huge part of my childhood (I used to play it with my dad nearly every week, it was one of the first games I remember playing) so yeh, very happy.
Anyway, so there's a point to me making this thread:
-Have you ever read any of the Discworld books?
-Have you ever played any of the Discworld games?
-What game do you remember playing as a kid?
-Will you buy me this? Unseen University
