I think you should sell it in the box. With those, you aren't really guaranteed a rare/expensive item. If you sell it in, you can get at least 5K, but if you open it and get something undesirable, you might be lucky to even get 1K. Then again, if the buyer opens it and there's an awsome item inside, then you'llhave missed out on some gold. It's realy just a gamble.

I went nuts one time and opened a whole bunch of 'em. Got nothing good - certainly not worth the cost of them. I know someone else who did the same. Again, nada.
Sell 'em. Save the gold to buy something you want.

sell the box, chances you'll get a rare item inside are slim at best.

The box will be bought at a higher price because one would be very curious as to what was inside and why it cost so much

Sell the box - the chance of getting a crappy item is to great.

I bought a box for around 3,000 gold and got a nightmare table which i sold for 4,000 gold i made some profit from the boxes but when i bough another one for around the same price i got a cheap item that was worth 100 gold. It's really just the luck that you get with each box.

Financially, its a better idea to sell the box unopened I think. The boxes are worth more then most of the possible items within, however personally I would be driven nuts. I always open mine. heart

i sold a few too, but i got really greedy sometimes and ended up opening them, the first time was ball & chain, I didnt know how much they're worth when I was a noob, and decided to just sell it at a low price, but once when I actually got another one, i became curious and opened up to find my very own FOX TAIL!!! i was all WTH? i actually got one, but then i found that its pretty valuable and ended up selling other items and give cheaper prices to customers i like instead.
