Nick was resting on one of the larger branches of a tree, not to far from his duplex. He’d already watched most of the films he was interested in in the entertainment room, the video games too. And now the day dragged on. It just felt, sort of right to be lying in the tree of all places, given it was instinct starting to show itself, but Nick just attributed it to his boredom. Lying outside in a tree was slight more interesting that lying inside, sort of. At the moment, he was fully clothed, he had gotten off lucky for now. Since there was very little indication he’d changed at all, his nose had pushed out a little, his fingers and toes had grown a little in length. But from a distance he still looked quite normal. That had put him in a bit of a better mood than usual. Maybe he could still get a girlfriend before he completely became whatever he was turning into. Mind will be...a Rock Hopper Penguin! :3

"So.. Hot..." Nikkos's fusing teeth click together, a few of his fingers fused together and some body fat built up on his body. He pants, leaning forwards, as the stray yellow feathers growing from his eyebrows twitch, "Why did they pick an artic animal? Why?" Looking at his flippers, he tries to wiggle his fingers apart, the tips still loose, "A tailor with no hands. Good thing I have a sewing machine..." He then freezes as he notices Nicholas in the tree next to him, "Um..." He then lets out a sigh, "Oh, good, your not a Newbie. I really didn't want to be the one to tell you the news about this island..." Streatching, he hops towards the monkey man, "You know, I've been wondering -- how painful is it to turn into a primate? Wait... You have nothing to compair it to, nevermind." He plops into the shade of the tree, panting, "I could really use some water..." Penguin shall be.... A Herdwick Domestic Sheep! But unchanged and unaware!

Alan Murrow, clad only in heavily modified shorts for his tail (he couldn't even add proto to the beginning of it now, there was no denying it anymore) was laying in the woods, trying to cool himself in the shade. It was just so...damn...HOT...outside.
He had changed his skin color--a useful habit for a semi-hermit like Alan had become--so that he would be left alone. That didn't change the fact that people would decide to gather around the anole-man...figures.
Alan layed perfectly still under the tree, trying not to let his temper get ahold of him again; he had gotten in enough trouble around here because of that. When the penguin man on the ground sat on the end of his tail, curled out towards the tree, however, he couldn't contain himself any longer.
"Hey!" he hissed out. "D'you mind??"
Acin shall be...a Blue-Footed Booby!

It had been a couple days, and Ryan had yet to find find signs of there being zoo on the island. He'd seen evidence of animals, but there weren't any cages that he could find. And all his attemps to contact someone through the intercom had been met with failure.
He didn't understand it. Why had no one contacted him? Something about the whole thing didn't feel right. So again he was walking outside, looking for some sign there was a zoo here. Maybe it was on the other side of the trees.
Finally, there was some success. There were people over there! And then something caught his eye; a giant lizard on the ground. It resembled an anole, though it was far to big. Hell, most monitors didn't get that big. Then he noticed that one of the people was practically sitting on it.
"Hey!" His voice was quiet but urgent. "Don't move, there's a huge lizard right behind you. I''m going to try and catch it." A new species! Ryan kept thinking of how he'd be credited with discovering it.

Dallas scratched his head and tilted his head upwards to gaze at the sun. He had to shield his eyes and squint against the brightness. It was a nice day, but the niceness had been considerably diminished by the fact that he had been slapping himself around mentally all day. Why had he decided to come here? He could have been accepted to any gymnastics camp in the world but he had decided to come to this one. Okay, it was a nice beach...and his room was nice enough...but the people? He didn't even want to get started on the people. Even come from a circus background, clowns, fire-eaters, the whole Cirque du Soleil deal, he had never met anyone this crazy about costumes.
Well, okay, so he had never really talked to one, but geez, those were some amazing costumes. And they never took them off. Not even in the cafeteria. Also - none of them looked like gymnasts.
Suddenly, his ears picked up a shout. turning towards the noise and blinking his eyes frantically to readjust his eyes, he saw some guy yelling about some lizard or something. Dallas' heart was lightened slightly when he saw that the other boy wasn't wearing a costume either.
"Hey, mister!" Dallas shouted, "you here for the training camp too?" The only reason he asked was 'cause...well, to be honest, that guy didn't look exactly like gymnast material.

Nick pondered over what he should do for today, there seemed little to do lately. But his deep state of thought, though was soon interrupted by Nikkos.
“Huh?” He pulled himself out of his slumped posture, and lent over of the tree branch while lying on his stomach, letting his legs hang on either side. He looked odd, he reminded Nick of something, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
“Hmm…it’s the same really…no matter what they jabbed you with” he smiled rather weakly, he had to try and put a brave face on things, especially since he secretly dreaded his serum. Though he didn’t have to continue his charade much longer, since a lizard person he’d failed to notice snapped at Nikkos.
It seemed his tree was quite popular today, he kept watching as Ryan showed up, great, a newbie. ”Keep your mouth shut, he’ll learn, hopefully from someone else”
“Erm…I wouldn’t do that is I-“ but he was cut off by yet another person, geez, there went his peace and queit.

"Oh, I'm sorry" Nikkos moves to get off the lizards mans tail then finds him face to face with a newbie with the urge to snap at the kids nose with his beak, My turf! Mine! Get out, get out you don't belong here!
Nikkos shakes his head with a groan, looking down at the lizard man, before looking from Ryan to Dallas, "Oh gawd I thought I was able to avoid being the one to do this..."
He hops between Ryan and Alan, shaking a fused hand turning into flipper, "Look carefully at that "huge Lizard" and note the pants. He is no lizard. Well, he is, but he wasn't at the beginging"
Holding a flipper hand out, his mouth warped by his pointed and jutted forwards teeth that fuse to his upper lip and nose, and attempts to look serious, which was hard with his twitchy yellow eyebrow feathers "I'm Nikkos, and welcome to Hell on Earth."
Glancing over at Dallas, "I don't know what the Techs told you... It was likely Sabin... But this is NO training camp. They told me they needed a tailor and that this was actually just some sort of Furry Commune for people wanting to pretend they were animals. But its not that, its not anything they told you, and that Injection.... It wasn't... It wasn't for a disease, its to get your body prepaired for... For THIS!" He motions at his face with his fused fingers, then fumbles in his pocket to pull out a his passport, showing how he looked before his first change, "This is what I am supposed to look like I was a tailor... But now... Now I'm turning into a bird. A BIRD! Some fat bird that doesn't belong in this tropical environment... This is all just a big experiment..."
He glances over at the other two island members with a sigh, "Come on, Follow me, I'll show you around.."

Alan grunted as the rockhopper got off his tail, turned over, and resumed his sunbathing. He did not want to be bothered, not today, and especially not with normies who didn't know a damn thing about the island. His logic was something along the lines of "it's their own fault," something that wasn't necessarily fair...or true.
With that, he stayed in the shade, still camoflagued, while Nikkos gave them the ropes. Alan tried to ignore them, stay out of the conversation and spare the new people his wrath...but it was only a matter of time before the noise by the tree was too much and his famous temper would rear its ugly head.

Ryan didn't really hear what the guy asked him. Somthing about a camp. He was too engrossed in catching that big lizard. At least he was, until...something...stepped in front of him.
"Umm, avoid being able to do what?" And then he showed him his webbed hand. And his psuedo-beak and eyebrow feathers. Ryan wasn't sure what to think. It could just be a costume, and when Nikkos gave his explaination, he was even more confused. Turing into a bird? It was just so impausible. Was he saying they were all going to be birds?
"Um, what now?" He stood on his toes and peered around Nikkos, trying to get a better look at the lizard. It was wearing shorts!

Not a training camp? Is that what the guy had just said? As he walked towards the other people, Dallas replied, "Whaddya mean, 'not a training camp'? And who's-" that was when he actually got a good look at the guy. Now, Since his arrival a day ago, he had seen a couple of people dressed up as fuzzy animals. You know, mammals. Fur, tails, ears, etc. That was easy enough to pull off with a costume. But this guy, he was something different. He sorta looked like that weird penguin thing he had just seen in the movie...Happy Feet was it? Anyways, the only difference was that that he was big, and... still looked like a person.
And then there was the huge lizard the hug lizard thing wearing short behind them. And the guy up in the tree that resembled a cave man. ((Cave men resemble crosses between people and monkeys, right?))
What the hell? Dallas stood were he had abruptly stopped, his mouth starting to hang open slightly and his eye twitched slightly. He had only seen the others from very, very far away.
His mind didn't even register anything the bird man had said past 'for this'. Instead he ran past them to were the lizard was lying and poked it in the head.
Dallas was never really known to think logically. He could have done what most people would have done and just talked to the people nearest to him. Or he could have at least picked up the angry aura that the lizard was giving off and left him alone. But, of course, he simply couldn't do that.

Great, he though, the penguin guy had told them, all he could do now was wait for the inevitable water works or very loud screaming. If his own discovery about the island was anything to go by, it’d involve a mix of the two.
Nick was hoping Nikkos wouldn’t do what he just did, still, his morbid curiosity kept him watching the group below him. He continued lying face on of the branch, his head sticking out of the side, to watch. (Though he had to keep on finger on his glasses, to keep them sliding off his already awkwardly shaped face)
For now he kept him mouth shut, he didn’t have anything to add, and he was far from the best person to comfort people. His duplex wasn’t to far, if he climbed a bit higher into the tree and a along a few more trees, he could get back to his room through the window. That seemed like a great idea right about now, he mentally noted his escape plan and continued listening.

Nikkos felt his anger rising, the heat and his instincts starting to get the better of him. All he wanted was some fish at this point, and these people out of his face.
Letting out a loud sigh of sorts, he continues to try and get the two people away from the tree, from the forest, and towards the Village. He didn't need them running into the woods to get eatten by Annie or Jamal, "Avoid having to tell people whats going to happen to them. For one, I'm not that far into the transformation, so I'm not sure me opening my mouth to show you its no mask is going to work..."
He lets out a bit of a hiss, looking a little ill, "And I need water or an airconditioned building." He pants, a bit of a muffled honking sound, distinctly penguin for those who know the breed, and hops down the path a little, "What did Sabin tell you? A Training camp.." He laughs sadly, trying to keep from crying, glancing at his fused hands, "Mending and making costumes is what they told me. Told me I'd make a big splash..."
He shakes his head, which caused the yellow feathers to puff up, and he looks over at Ryan, "You seem interested in Animals. Let me guess, they told you they had a collection of Exotics and needed a Zookeeper? Oh! Or maybe your an explorer and they need someone to investigate the jungles.. Thats how they got Dee. Poor girl has tenticles growing from her face now. And yoooou.." He flops a wierd looking hand at Dallas, "You keep going on about training camp. Going off to train in a tropical local, it would be good for whatever sport your into, right? I guess turning into an animal might have some advantages, but its not like you'd be able to..."
Pinching the bridge of his hardened nose, he lets out a honking sigh, "I'm sorry. Its the heat. I've lived in Florida my whole life, out on the ocean.. But whatever I'm turning into is not tropics friendly or friendly in general. I'm trying to stay nice but part of me keeps wanting to bite you till you get out of my territory."
He hops down the path a little more, his featherless tail poking from his modified shorts, "Come ON, There's a wolf AND a Tiger out here, and neither are very friendly, since one sees us as dinner and another... Well, I'm likely safe from Jamal, I don't side with the labs, but while your still human he might mistake you for employees, and last thing we need is you running through the woods screaming when this all sinks in..."
