Ok, yes, so... I am bored and all currently... So, I am arranging a guild roleplay. Anyone can join in, I just ask you be active and literate. By the Gods, don't answer this with "dood, that is liek teh uber coole, i wann join ur awesum roolpaly!!!1q1!qtwo"
I will shoot you in the goddamn face.
Like I said, anyone will be able to join and I do have a topic in mind for setting and such. However, I will leave this open for others to decide as well in the form of a vote/poll.
Things will be restricted. There will be nothing past 1990. As in the setting. No futuristic world where blind people have laser eyes and dogs can transform into fully functionable automobiles that can fly to Uranus. No.
After setting is chosen, there will be a list of main characters that you can APPLY for. This does not mean that it's first come, first serve. There will be an order to my chaos. You may choose to apply for the main roles, or one of your own. You can go outlandish, use your powers in it by all means, but nothing too outlandish. Such as summon a mystical giraffe to crush your opponents with karmatic bombs. That's even weird for me. If you're unsure of how much is too much, talk to me and I'll lend a hand.
I encourage everyone to get into this. It's a good experience to get to know people if you don't know them already, and a great way to make friends. You may post your ideas for settings and characters below, and do give everyone the benefit of the doubt. NO OFFENSIVE POSTS. If someone posts something they enjoy, do not shoot it down. How would you like someone to make fun of your pretty, pink, My Little Pony fetish? Not cool is it? So show respect to everyone. Feel free to post favorite TV shows, novels, etc as your ideas. It's all open season.
I look forward to your ideas and suggestions, so don't hesitate to make something great here.
~Scrat

My good sir, that idea is very much a fantastic one! I beseech thee to allow me entry to thy incandiferous playing of roles!
As it were. A guild roleplay, huh? Can we have more details, plz? Like, if there's any coherent theme, objective, maybe some descriptions of the aforementioned main characters, and so forth?
And why 1990, of all times? =o?

This sounds like it could be interesting, but like Mitsh I would like a little more insight into your ideas.

Mitsh And why 1990, of all times? =o? Because that was before Kurt Cobain killed himself, which makes that time awesome cool

I chose 1990, because I don't want the massive technological breakthroughs that've happened in the last 10~15 years to be in it. Take things back to a simple times. Well, more simple then they are now. Not to mention it opens up a few things into alternate timelines then they are now and all as the rp progresses.
And I didn't give a terribly deep insight into my idea, because I want other ideas first before anything is out on the table. It needs stuff to be compared to. Otherwise, it could easily be accepted or shot down, and that was one of the no-no's. I'm glad to see that someone has taken interest, so next time, post an idea of any length. We can work on it or elaborate it somehow.
As for Kurt Cobain... Uh... Yeah, I guess so. LoBo, I'll call the orderlies for your straight jacket in the morning.

Now that school's winding down, I'm totally up for some roleplaying! I think the choice of 1990 is pretty neat. I do so remember the 90's....the cartoons were so much better!

Just go onto YouTube and look for "30 minutes of 80's cartoon intros." So much oddity, and sadly, I grew up watching much of that. I love the Gilligan's Island cartoon. The professor could make a radio out of coconuts, sand, and s**t. He could make a spaceship that works. But the b*****d can't fix a hole in a boat.

Oh, this is a great idea!
However, Flink remembers nothing from the time-line you're setting. XD So she'll have to fake it. Which sounds most fun and entertaining!
Though, she watched a lot of 80s cartoons after the 80s, it that makes sense. 80s cartoons were so weird, but they were awesome!
Flink could use a jacket right now. She's cold. o.o

Well, I didn't exactly mean it that way. I meant the time setting not as a real life timeline for events, but the fantasy worlds timeline of events.

I don't get why the 90's no offense but they were kinda bland. Nothing really happened in them. I have an idea! We'll take all the people who want to be in an older time period and put them in an old fashioned african village from that timeline, and us kewl NIRVANA liking people will go play Lazer tag in the city, with our newly invented pagers and cellphones and windows 3.1, oooooh yeah. cool (Nirvana is awesome)And btw, the internet became more popular in the 90's, and there's a slight chance you may use that on certain occasions, or not, maybe you're on another planet transferring your programmed thoughttransferrence to a local sattelite and it bounces off and hits a taco bell sign, transmitting it to gaiaonline in this particular post. :/
