WoG: The World of Gaia. Guild of dorky RPers who like to post in a nice, story sort of way.
And very, very, VERY soon, a big storyline jolt is going to jumpstart the RP. This is the 2nd best time, next to joining when WoG first started, to submit a Bio and start RPing.
A lot of thought has gone into this RP - this is not one of your "lasts for a few months then goes" role plays. WoG has already been around for a year and two months. It's in it's v7.5 and keeps getting better as we go along. The best parts of the storyline are yet to start - specifically the present eras of war between the East and West, and the hunts for the Elemental Items.
The best kind of summary I can give of the storyline as follows is:
Psuedo Summary
Gaia was created 30 billion years ago by the the 6 Elemental Spirits; Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Light and Dark From even before Gaia was created, these Spirits were at war. With the creation of Gaia, the Elementals merely moved their fight to another arena - their warriors, the chosen they had created.
Ties between the East and West have always been unstable due to thousands of years of raging wars. She has already seen 3 Great Wars spill blood on her lands and decimate countries - all for land. There's a natural animosity between the citizens of either realm and neither side discourages it. Such hate is too ingrained and has been steeped in the blood of brothers and mothers to be dispelled with small gestures of kindess and compassion.
But that was all in the past. Today, in the year 1899 of the Era of the Awakening, a strained peace has enveloped Gaia for 700 years. A festival in honor of the High Priestess of Light during the time of the 2nd Great Gaian war will be held in the largest city on Gaia - Laburnum.
Despite the fact that both countries aknowlege the festival as cause for a 3 day truce, no matter what the political circumstances, conspiracies and plots against both countries have been rumored to be planned. Will Gaia be thrown into yet another Era of War?
