Private RP thing for the me thing and the Ashebooze thing =D
=============
It would probably be a stretch to consider himself 'content'. There was, after all, a certain dissention in the ranks to be concerned with - though how far his little triad could be considered 'ranks' was another ********. But that dissention, Darcy's clear frustration and the mutiny in his tone - even that was nothing especially bothersome to the fearless leader. Darcy had been pissed before, he'd be pissed again and God help them all the most he could pray was that there wouldn't be bullets. No, something else was causing a far deeper disruption to Sa'di's inner peace. Some inkling itching at the back of his head - or on the bridge of his nose, an itch that for unknown and probably very complex metaphysical reasons he just could not scratch.
It was starting to make him jumpy.
Staying at home was making him jumpy.
Thus he'd wandered - well, not wandered, it was intensely unwise for a blind man to wander - to this little cafe. And he knew it was a cafe because he'd been there before and because the chairs felt comforting in an open air sort of breeze and Cassidy had once remarked at length on the quaintness of the view - by which Cass had meant 'boring as all ********', of course, but that was Cassidy for you.
A breath escaped him in something mirroring a sigh as he leaned forward slightly on the table, brain acknowledging the solidity of its surface, the cooling cup of tea brushing his knuckles, the world outside he could hear and feel that was... creeping up on him in the most disruptive of ways. He just didn't know how yet. Hopefully this moment of... relaxation would be key to unraveling the ambush.

He did not need to deal with their undying stupidity... frankly, Jamie hated idiots... therefore, he should simply kick them out of the house... and yet something was keeping him from doing such... perhaps the comfort that came from realizing he was moderately -- no, tremendously -- smarter than most of the individuals in the residence...
Well... he was definately more full of himself than the others... but if that was the downfall that came with intelligence over them, for goddesses sake he would take it.
The rabbit male sighed in deeply, landing back to earth with a petty bump, crimson eyes skimming over the café he had managed to find himself in.
"..." The tea wasn't particularly good, but it was certainly drinkable. He ran a clawed hand through white hair.

A head of wavy dark hair lifted and the milky white eyes blinked patiently at the world, unseeing but curious all the same. He'd heard that sigh in a most interestingly distinct way. Like it cut across the rest of the passing, turning instances in the air with an ease he could only compare to that of a blade through water. Straight to the point, pun intended.
"Seeking company?" he proffered loudly, enunciating to the air, unsure of the direction from whence the sigh had come but intent on answering it despite. It had felt - no, had sounded, not felt - so much more like a call then a simple breath, in the end. That was the difference he heard.

Jamie cast him a questioning glance, ear tweaking quietly. He didn't say a word for a moments time, rather awaited some magical instant where someone would speak his mind for him -- and when it didn't happen, he simply replied with an inquiry. "... Company?" the rabbit male raised a well-formed brow.
How had he even known that the question was directed at him...? Well, he truly wasn't certain it was -- rather decided such after the realization hit him that he was one of the only individuals sitting alone.
He seemed a bit confused. "... Why is it that you ask?"

The head tilted in the direction of the other's voice, now established in knowledge that it hadn't been a passing stranger, or better yet a ghost - flesh and blood. Or so he would assume because to assume other would be allowing the imagination to run amok into the nonsensical. It was easiest to be pragmatic about reality.
A mild almost smile bent the curve of his lips - it wasn't that the other had sounded lonely, necessarily. Or even that there was something missing that could possibly be remedied with conversation. More that because the sound had cut so easily into his attention it deserved to be paid mind to.
"It was irresistible," he settled on finally, tone far from that of a pick-up line, more akin to a shrug and a stretch for justification. He'd... had to. A compulsion, stronger than a whim and more potent than a desire. It simply couldn't have passed any other way.

((So sorry! gonk heart Sister snagged thee compy from me for a bit... ;_; ...))
Jamie grinned. "... Company wouldn't be bad..." he replied quietly, taking a sip from the cup before tapping fingers against the table. "..." That was his way of saying yes... Jamie had never actually been the type to go out and say that he needed -- or rather, wanted someone else around him. Then, perhaps Sa'di wouldn't understand that...?
The rabbit male pinched the bridge of his nose quietly, crimson eyes closed as he tried to think of something -- anything to say that wouldn't scare the other off... he wasn't used to meeting new individuals, so this was definately a tint -- different.
He opened eyes again and decided not to prepare conversation, rather let it act up -- that was -- so long as the other would make his way over -- it was really all up the the wolf's decision.

((Aaaand I'm sorry for disappearing to Spring Break 8D; BACK NOW <3))
Naturally arched eyebrows raised slightly in inscrutable amusement. He wasn't actually used to anyone outright confirming anything at all - unless it was in the negative. Because Cassidy didn't ask for permission and Darcy preferred to hit you. Which was entirely unfair, no matter how much smaller the kitten was than him. Darcy wasn't blind.
The coon's gaze was just to the left of the stranger's head, though he had no way of knowing or correcting it, and he did his best not to set himself in the manner of a stare, which most people found unnerving. There was a way to cast one's expression such that one might almost deceive the world into thinking one could actually see it, and it was this expression Sa'di sought now. "Not necessarily so," he agreed at a murmur, taking a careful sip of tea, charming smile directed just as carefully at the cup, that he might not miss. "What's more sighs are somewhat pointless without being heard..."

((*licks Janling* >=D Yeeeeey, backness...? ;xD *snooglies love unto*))
The whole matter -- no, the idea of the whole matter -- wasn't something Jamie expected.
He frowned quietly. Talking was also something that was pointless without being heard as well, and yet -- look at Wyatt... and Eridanus... for Gaia's sake, they spoke non-stop... Jamie wasn't even certain where all the air came from.
But then again...
"However, no matter where an individual sighs, they are able to hear it themselves, does that therefore mean that it's never truly pointless...?" he raised a slender brow. "Same with conversation -- though I suppose if you're caught talking to yourself you may want to consider a mental institution."

A mild chuckle, "That's a philosophical digression I'll have little hope of keeping up with." His smile was reserved in the old-fashioned way, a feigned detachment more than genuine disinterest, an approach from just beyond arm's reach. Friendly, though not intimate. He had no interest in maintaining spontaneous social bonds beyond momentary charm - that was what he had Cassidy for. He might not even have bothered to listen to closely to the specifics of the words from the other's mouth, but for the remaining nagging feeling behind his empty eyes.
Damn the scratch.
And he talked to himself quite often, thank you very much. Often times out of not having realized that his conversation partner had departed in a huff or out of boredom but he couldn't expect much more from his colleagues and there hadn't been much opportunity to speak with any other part of the world of late. Though articulating by his lonesome wasn't exactly an anomaly either. It helped organize thoughts, to have them solidified in speech.
"Fallen trees in the forest that would make us, I suppose," he mused, "How proverbial. It's a pleasure to meet a fellow solo conversationalist, in that case."

He cackled lowly, crimson eyes flicking down to view the glistening liquid in the oriental cup. He said nothing -- rather enjoyed this short moment of silence that fell between them suddenly. 'He... smiles unnervingly...' the rabbit male allowed a soft frown to take over his features but only for a moment before he sipped at the tea again.
... That was it... Jay needed to decide on better places to get his beverages... and food. The anthro male poked at his toast silently, face showing the pure disgust that ran through his veins at the thought of devouring such a thing...
He frowned when an employee quietly made their way to the table after catching a glimpse of the unhappy features.
"Good evening sir, would you like to try some of our marmalade...? It's straight from England and ever-so-fine..." the man offered quietly, displaying the jar in one of his palms as though to brighten the table.
"... Get over yourself, it's from Costco..." the rodent anthro replied in a low tone, obviously unhappy with the situation at hand -- he didn't need to be offered anything... if he thought the food was disgusting, then so be it, it was disgusting -- there was really no point in bettering it up.
"... Hmph..." The man pouted at him in a child-like manner, poking his tongue out before trotting off back to the small kitchen, possibly to complain, or perhaps it was to simply refrain from speaking to, or seeing Jamie again.
The rabbit anthro blinked quietly -- insults were certainly an easy and entertaining way to scare another individual off, though rude...
