{-Ieldi Journal: Black Duvet-} Ullue

This is Black Duvet's journal, please do not post without her permission.

Karasu

A rolled up scroll awaits you in your inbox. Written on it in vivid blue ink is a note from Karasu.

"After a long wait, your relic is ready. It awaits you in its new home in Upper Kyendi. Visit the guild for a map of the area, your name will be written next to your new residence.

Please make yourself at home, the houses are unfurnished, but warm and well ventilated. On the back of each map is a description of the area. Please take a look at this too.

Best wishes,
Rasu~

P.S. Houses were assigned randomly to prevent arguments over choosing."

Before you continue on reading this journal, I would like to bring to your attention a few things.
Firstly, Kyendi is officially closed. I didn't have to, but I chose to continue roleplaying Kokoro -- which may explain why there are gaps in posting. plus.. it's a bit hard to find inspiration nowadays. XD;
So, I'm taking a bit of liberty in roleplaying Kokoro -- IE, using the Pantheon as NPCs and so on. Developments that happen in the village will affect him, of course, but otherwise, there isn't much else I can do.
So forgive me if things seem to get a bit out of character -- there are a lot of things I've planned out for him, though, and I need those characters to be able to complete them. I'll do my best to see that this isn't a problem, though.
Thanks for visiting, and have fun reading about the adventures of my precious little boy, Kokoro~

Name: Kokoro
Gender: Male
Age: Recently reborn
Appearance: He has a narrow face framed with untidy black hair about halfway down his throat (a grin almost always plastered on his face), blue-green eyes.. And thin white feather-stripes running from his nose, under and over his eyes, to his hair -- not to mention the blue-green wings extending to white feathers on his arms and his colorful white-and-blue tail feathers. Of course, he had a deep, rich blue throat as well, having taken on the markings of a present-day blue-throated hummingbird.
Personality: Kokoro is anything but your run-of-the-mill Ieldi. His hyperness and tendancy to destroy fragile objects (only in an attempt at doing something helpful, though) formed to create a walking disaster. He's very hyper, mostly due to the fact that he has a fast metabolism and has to be fed every ten minutes, AND his main diet is sugar and honey. You could say he has a sweet tooth. Like most sugar-hyped children, he has a needy disposition and expects most people to cater towards his needs.

oh, her. are you sure you want to hang around her? sometimes she acts a bit..touched in the head..

name: angie; just angie.
gender: female
age: 12 or so.
appearance: navy hair. pale skin. grey eyes. usually wears blue.
personality: angie's quite an odd character; at times, she's happy and outgoing, but she can suddenly switch to sad and moody with the slightest provocation. in fact, it almost seems as if those are the only emotions she has..
likes: chocolate, birds, sugar, being happy.
dislikes: people calling her crazy, not enough sugar, bad situations, dogs.

Angie herself owns few photos and doesn't like cameras in general, for one reason or another. While she keeps her few private photos tucked away, she's quite willing to show photos of her relic friend to anyone who asks.

User Image

Ooooh! It's..Bob! My beloved.. stump.. thing! Isn't he lovely? I wonder what kind of bird those feathers are from, though..

User Image

It's.. it's, um.. the dude. the thing. spirit. person. midget. thing. hello.

angie's suitcase contains little, but during her trips down the tree, she's picked up a lot of trinkets that she keeps around the house..

User Image
It's..a lava lamp. Angie likes to stare at it. A lot.

User Image
Angie keeps a lot of lamps around the house for light, but this is one of her favorites. It hangs from the ceiling in her and Bob's room.

User ImageUser Image
Two dreamcatchers that she found. Angie likes them a lot. The purple dreamcatcher hangs in the window of her and Bob's room, and the other is in the opposite room.

User ImageUser ImageUser Image
A LOT of different teapots -- she keeps them down at the Rising Moon inn, so that she doesn't have to worry about breaking them and so everyone can use them if they'd like.

User Image
A caged butterfly.. she takes special care of the flowers and the butterfly so that they don't die.

User ImageUser Image
Some flowers she keeps in a vase -- mostly for looks, but the butterfly seems to like them as well.

User ImageUser ImageUser Image
A few of the blanket Angie keeps on hand. She uses the black starry one, while giving Bob the blue starry one -- the last one she has stored away, just in case.

User ImageUser ImageUser Image
...it's candy. Need we say more?

User ImageUser ImageUser Image
Some first-aid equipment. One can never be too prepared...

User ImageUser ImageUser Image
Angie considered sharing with Bob, but decided against it. Who can resist?

Cerena -- Angie's acclaimed 'onee-san', or older sister, and Bob's 'aunt'. It doesn't seem as if they're actually related at all, though. It would certaintly be like Angie to flag down some random stranger in the street and claim them to be her sister, wouldn't it? Even so, Cerena seems to care for Angie, despite her oddness.

Sana -- one of Angie's first companions, a hyperactive air sprocket given to her by an odd person. Angie seems to have a fierce liking for it, though, despite its constant (often destructive) cries for attention. It's rather jealous of Bob for claiming the attention that was supposed to be for HER.

Iol -- a strange Gembird whose egg Angie stumbled upon while exploring. He's rather mad at her at the moment, though, because when she ran away, she forgot about him, and he had to fly all over Gaia trying to find her. He likes to ride on top of Sana, though well enough away from its core gem so he doesn't go for an unexpected fly..

Angie has met a few people during her time at the tree, and she likes pretty much all of them.

Naien: Angie first met Nai after stumbling around a bit with a towel wrapped around her head. She likes Nai because she's so different than her, but can still talk with her on a lot of different subjects. She's only seen her once though, sadly.

Quinn: Angie likes Quinn. A lot. She explained to her why exactly she was in the Sabilasi area. Plus, she regularly brings her this giant huge bag of sugar and a jar of honey (although Angie mistook it for a dead man at first), which is always a plus -- sadly, it's meant for Kokoro, though that doesn't stop her from sneaking some every once in a while. She's a nice friend.

dec. 06 -- angie comes to the village tree, only to see ruin..
jan. 06 -- after receiving a note from karasu, angie enters the salbasi area, meets a few of her new neighbors, and confuses herself to no end. also receives a house and a mysterious relic, whom she has christened 'bob'..
jan. 09 -- after finding out what exactly she was in sabilasi for, angie goes back to Gaia to do research, nearly faints when she sees the details, and has her onee-san move in with her for backup..
feb. 25 -- a.. a spirit has arrived! (it's strangely quiet, though.)

blue-throated hummingbird (lampornis clemenciae)

The blue-throated hummingbird is one of the largest (if not THE largest) of the hummingbird family; it can grow up to 5.25 inches, and the males of the species can weigh up to 8.4 g. Most hummingbirds only reach up to 3-3.5 inches in length. This species of hummingbird is often aggressive and bold.

Blue-throated hummingbirds are rapid fliers whose wings make an audible humming sound as they fly (which is probably why they are called hummingbirds). A hummingbird's main diet consists of sugar and nectar, and their metabolisms are extremely fast, which means that they have to be fed every ten minutes or so, so they probably wouldn't make a very good pet, unless you have a lot of time and money to burn.

Blue-throated hummingbirds are often seen in mountain valleys near the Mexican border, and their nests are always sheltered from rain and sun. They're generally located near water, where flowering vegetation abounds.

The (adult) male is unmistakable. Green back and crown, dark gray breast, bright blue gorget, dark blue tail with white outer tips. Thin white stripes above and below the eyes. In poor light, though, the gorget looks almost black. There has been some slight deviation on Kokoro's plumage, though, so don't expect him to look exactly like that.

Male hummingbird behavior is every woman's worst nightmare. The female locates a male, after getting his attention he will fly 75-150' in the air and then drop like a bomb, bill down, within 1-2" of her head. Mating last 3-5 seconds, then he disappears. The female finishes her nest, lays the eggs, and tends the young alone. (..o_O...uh, that's definately not going to be included in his personality, there.)

The only North American species known to sing is the Anna's. Most hummingbirds don't sing, but have a series of squeaks.

If I find out more about the species that I think is important, I'll record it here.

the closer you are to the light, the bigger the shadow you cast.. these are the words spoken by Cerena, but what do they hold for the future?

while reading this diary, keep this in mind to avoid confusion.
when angie is looking at things from her viewpoint, the font colour used will be gray.
when kokoro is looking at things from his own viewpoint, however, they will be in blue.
if a dream is being detailed or an outside party's POV is being described, then the text will be black. (it's easy enough to see who's dreaming based on content, so don't worry about that.)

this is to avoid confusion, because I often switch viewpoints when writing to try and depict events in a certain way.

if you'd like to post for any reason (dropping something off, playdates, so on), please contact me first, through pm or aim. (if you decide to im me, though, please tell me who you are so I don't get confused x_X;..) The only exceptions are the kyendi staff.

if anything further should come up, I'll note them here.
