"After a long wait, your relic is ready. It awaits you in its new home in Upper Kyendi. Visit the guild for a map of the area, your name will be written next to your new residence.
Please make yourself at home, the houses are unfurnished, but warm and well ventilated. On the back of each map is a description of the area. Please take a look at this too.
Best wishes, Rasu~
P.S. Houses were assigned randomly to prevent arguments over choosing."

Tragicity...what can we say about Tragicity? She's a simple human girl, born and raised on a cattle farm a good way away from Gaia. Her humble upbringings gave her a straightforward attitude, a hatred of lies and a very short temper. No one's sure where that last one came from. No matter what, she is always painfully honest - which may or may not be such a good thing. She loves coffee, a good book, Jazz and the outdoors. Kopere is the sort of creature that brings new meaning to the old cliche, "looks can be deceiving". She was cute enough as a baby. Then, she grew up. Grown-up Kopere is quite different from the little darling cub that Tragicity so carefully raised. She is rude, critical, sarcastic and she loves laughing at other's misfortunes. Not the sort of creature you would want around to influence your Ieldi, but unfortunately Tragicity hasn't really got a say in the matter. You see, Kopere is more like a wild Sunchild, and she goes where she pleases. Oh, she won't live in the shelf, but she'll come to visit from time to time, and that's certainly more than enough... JazzJazz is Tragicity's much-loved, long-suffering sheepdog. Jazz is a registered Border Collie, although that's only really for show. He's a working dog through and through, and he's never happier than when he's out on the farm with a herd of sheep. Of course, things have changed now, and who knows how he'll cope with his new lifestyle.

The new house consists of one large room, and two smaller ones. Tragicity has left the relic where she found it, in the large room. Recently, Tragicity has assembled some furniture for the house. A round table sits in the middle of the large room, with some chairs arranged around it. A long, low counter follows the curve of the wall. In one of the smaller rooms is a bed (minus mattress so far) and a bedside table. The other small room is empty, but will be furnished as a bathroom later on.
In the main room, hanging over the doorway are a couple of lanterns, a windchime and a dreamcatcher.
Arranged around the edges of the main room, there are some floor lamps and bonzai trees, along with a couple of bright flowers for a splash of colour.
Close to the relic is a beautiful orb. This orb is enchanted to play music throughout the house. Next to the orb is a small bottle of red earth, a memento from the farm where Tragicity grew up.
Some food is always kept in the house, for its residents and also for any visitors who drop by. Today there is a fruit tart, together with a mug of coffee and a cup of green tea. The tea is untouched.
An incense burner in the shape of the dragon sits in one of the smaller rooms.
Tragicity has covered the floors of the house with some colourful woollen rugs and blankets.
In a corner of the main room, by the door, is placed a first-aid kit - just in case of emergencies.

A large collection of dragon plushies may be found in nooks and crannies around the house. How these got there is a mystery, for they seem to appear in the strangest places, where you would never expect them to be...
A kookaburra plushie, carefully hand-sewn by Tragicity as something a spirit might like.
A couple more plushies sit near the relic. These plushies are strange, for they are of creatures unique to Gaia alone.

A fragile, handpainted fan that was found in the Marketplace sits alongside a beautiful, red flute.
Tragicity's trusty Polaroid camera - for capturing those precious moments.
It's quite unclear exactly what Skydancer is, or how he got here. The only thing certain (for now) is that he is here. He appears to be a small alicorn. He also appears to be gummie and slightly see-through, but whatever he is he is here to stay. An interesting thing to note about him is that he makes no noise, but communicates through intricate dances. Although he does not speak, he seems to understand speech perfectly well.

Presents to my Ieldi from other people.
A gorgeous little fish plushie! From Zydeco! ~<3
Zydeco Dear Tragicity, While on my usual trip to the grocery store I stumbled on the cutest little store, and couldn't help but pick up some things for the lucky gals that won the contest. I don't know but I felt out of the four things I bought, this one should go to you. It just seems to work doesn't it? Hope it brings a nice spirit to your relic, ~Zydeco
Some cute little Christmas presents from Quinny-chan.
Quinny-chan There is a package labeled, To: Tragicity. Merry Christmas! Quinn. Would you like to open it?

Here is where information about the Ieldi's past life will be located. Consider this post OOC as there will be information here that Tragicity does not know and Koorit does not remember.
Please, in any roleplays/IC situations, don't bring up anything posted here that has not been "discovered" as such. If you are not sure what information is known and what is unknown, then it would be best if you just don't bring it up at all.

Laughing Kookaburra Dacelo Novaeguineae HabitatThe laughing kookaburra is one of four different species of kookaburra. It is widespread in eastern Australia, throughout forests and woodlands. It has also adapted extremely well to living in towns and cities and can be often spotted anywhere, from nesting in nature reserves to perching on power poles. The kookaburra is not native to either Western Australia or Tasmania, but it has been successfully introduced. You will not find kookaburras in rainforests as they prefer a more open habitat. The woodland floor is open and grassy, which in turn provides a wider choice of prey for the kookaburras to eat. Another kind of kookaburra is the blue-winged kookaburra ( Dacelo Leachii), which is found in dense tropical and subtropical forests. The other two kinds of kookaburra are the spangled kookaburra ( Dacelo Tyro) and the rufous-bellied kookaburra ( Dacelo Gaudichaud). Not a lot is known about these two strains, as they are very rare and are not seen often. Food and HuntingThe kookaburra is part of the kingfisher family. It hunts during the day, perching on a tree branch to spy its food. Kookaburras hunt by two major techniques - patience and ambush. The bird chooses a high vantage point and then waits for suitable prey. It then swoops rapidly down and catches the unfortunate victim in its long bill with deadly accuracy. This method of hunting is common among members of the kingfisher family - many of whom do not actually catch fish. BreedingKookaburras like to build their nests in holes such as natural cavities in trees. They have been known to occupy the nests of tree termites, or even to use holes in the walls of buildings. Female kookaburras lay around three to four eggs. Once the eggs have hatched, the young are extremely dependent on the adults for a number of months. Kookaburras are extremely family-orientated birds, as some of the young from the previous clutch may stay on as "helpers". These grown offspring help the parents to feed the new chicks and also to defend their territory. They achieve this by using their characteristic laugh-like call. They usually call at dawn and then again at dusk. Once one bird has started, the others will join in and the volume of the chorus will steadily increase. StatisticsSizesLength: Approximately 45cm Weight: Up to 500g BreedingEggs: 2 - 4, white in colouration Incubation: About 20 days LifestyleHabit: A complicated social system, often with "helpers" at the nest Diet: Insects and other invertebrates, rodents, reptiles including snakes, other species of birds and the chicks of those birds. For now, I would prefer that no-one posted. Ieldi spirits are fragile, and I would not wish for them to be disturbed.
The only people who may post are the Kyendi Luminaries. They are the staff of Kyendi, and are listed on the front page of the thread.

This is an Ieldi journal that chronicles the rebirth and new life of Koorit, an Ieldi child.
Ieldi, the concept and the artwork, are by La Karasu. Please do not take either from her, that is considered theft!
Koorit herself, her appearence and her personality are my (Tragicity's)property. She is not for sale/trade and I will most certainly not give her to you, so please don't ask.
The charcters of Rei, Goori-Goori, Seline, Koorit's mother and the Tutor are also my property. However, they are not actual physical Ieldi! Please, feel free to make your own Magpie/Hummingbird/Tawny Owl Ieldi. However, do not feel free to make Ieldi that are blatant rip-offs or clones of the aforementioned characters.
Any other Ieldi who are mentioned or appear in this journal are the property of their respective owners, and I highly doubt that they will be for sale/trade/giving away at any point in time. Ever. So, again, please don't ask.
Please do not post unless either your name is in the permissions section or you fit the criteria mentioned in that post (it's just above this one). If you would like permission to post, please PM me and you'll probably get it. I'm not an evil person. I don't bite.
Do not take any art or gifts that you see. Not even with permission. Most likely it is not mine, and I probably bought it. All of the items in these posts were either given as gifts or bought from the Minishops. If you would like to know where a particular item came from, please PM me and I'll try and find the shop link for you.
Thank you for reading this post, and I hope you enjoy reading the Ieldi journal of Koorit!
