It hadn't been that long since Marshall saw the blue haired girl, Awen. And, for some odd reason, he just couldn't get her out of his mind. He wasn't sure why, however: He obviously didn't make an impression on her, seeing as how she didn't even remember his name.
But that didn't matter, however. Right now his attention was on one of the newest addition to the DVD library, "Saw III". Even still, every so often between the bucket of fake blood filling the TV screen, Marshall couldn't help but let his mind wander.
...I need advice.

Oz was at least more clean than he had been over the past few weeks, and didn't smell so bad. Nevertheless, he could still announce his presence with sound and today was no exception. With nary a thought to whether someone was already in the entertainment room, he just barged in, opening the door with an obvious clack.
Seeing Marshall spread-eagled on the couch and enjoying the latest blood-soaked installment of Saw, he greatly regretted not knocking first.

A very loud and terribly unpleasing to the ears "SQAK!" escaped Marshall, hearing the door open suddenly. Oz must've walked in on one of the few times that Marshall was more into the movie than his own little life. Marshall panted, clutching his chest as he looked to the source of the sound. Nope! Wasn't the several-legged dinosaur monstrosity that Marshall had the displeasure of meeting; just a large, black-haired, Gorilla man the penguin-boy knew quite well.
"Oh! Hey Oz!" Marshall smiled, waving a little with a flick of what remained of his wrist.

Oz's recollection of the drinking party was half-formed at best, but you don't forget the progression of someone's 'animal.' Its a shame he hadn't been for his lunch time beer today - he really didn't want to see Marshall without his beer-vision.
The uneasyness disappeared from his face quickly, masked by his usual cheerfulness, if a little forced at times.
"Aww come on, I thought after last time, you wouldn't jump at seeing me again," he chuckled. Marshall's laboured breathing suggested he'd jumped out of his skin...err...feathers.

"Heh heh. Well lets not forget who has a beak stickin' out of his face, Kong." Marshall laughed, tapping the side of his newest "appendage" on his face. He was actually kind of glad to see one of his older friends. Usually, they could get his mind off whatever was bothering him.
"So, how ya been?" Marshall asked as he grabbed the remote, Pausing the film in the middle of a particularly violent scene.

Since Marshall was the only one to have used 'Kong' as a nickname, Oz didn't mind really, especially since he'd dubbed the penguin boy 'Pingu.' It was an eery sort of familiarity between the two.
"Ah I'm doing alright. Can't complain really, since the theatre is nearly done. I don't have to do night-guard duty anymore," he shuffled over to the couch and began to lower himself on carefully.
It creaked with the strain and Oz winced. Maybe he should move onto the floor...?
"And you?"

Marshall gripped the couch as it creaked under Oz. Oh well, if it broke it sure as hell wasn't there fault! "Well...Eh, nothin' much, really. Not since the get-together at the Construction Site." Marshall chuckled, poking Oz in his stomach, "Y'should remember. Never seen any one drink an entire cooler of ice before." he chuckled.
"I did...Ummm..."
Well, Oz does have a girlfriend, and he is kinda older...Maybe he could, like...Give some advice?
"...I kinda met this girl..."

Oz looked confused for a moment, trying to recall the night's events a couple of weeks ago. And then the icy memory hit him and made his stomach clench and twist and growl.
"Oh yeah...ugh, I'm never doing that again. That old git deserves a good kick up the arse for that dare," he said, his chest rumbling a little.
He tried to recline on the couch, cringing once more as it creaked. He sighed and looked exasperated.
"Well, yeah, that does happen in life Marshall," he teased. "So it must be a special girl for you to bring her up..."

"W-well..." Marshall rubbed the back of his neck, skin turning red under black feathers.
"Its...Its not like she's any thing special special, y'know? I-I mean, she's kinda cute...Plays video games and stuff...And, um, well..."
Just ask him already! Its not like Gaius would be much help!
"...Soooo...How do you get a girl to like you?" Marshall asked. He sounded like a ten year old asking where babies come from, but outside of a few dates in High School, he didn't know much about the world of dating or any thing.

"Oh yeah, she's not special at all but you wanna know how to make her like you? Well done Marshall," he teased further with sarcasm, then reached a large hand to the penguin boy's head and ruffled vigorously.
Oz wasn't sure whether to flaunt the fact Marshall had actually come to him for advice. To the guy who had somehow ended up with a mermaid in his lap, but hadn't even used a chat-up line in six months prior to that...maybe he should bluff his way through this. How bad could it end?
"Well...I guess you've got a good start already. You both like to play video-games, right? A common hobby then. Is she a bird too?" he asked, maybe a little bluntly at the end.

"Huh? Um...N-No, she's definitely not a bird...Ummm...I think maybe she's...Some sorta fish?" Marshall said, looking up at the ceiling as if it would answer his questions. Now that he thought about it, he had no idea what she was, and didn't even know her last name.
"So...Video games? She also, um, kinda likes Star Wars...I saw her watching that when I first met her..."

A fish... Now why did that ring a bell. Were all the aquatic Islanders mermaids or sirens or something? Oz chewed his lip a little, trying to think about what penguins did. It certainly wasn't cold on this Island. Could penguins swim? Yeah, that sounded right, since they couldn't fly.
"A fish? Well, you can always go swimming and junk," he said flatly, all too aware of the fact he couldn't swim anymore.
"And Star Wars eh? Hmm, so thats cult film, I guess. I wouldn't watch anything like this with her though," he chuckled as he pointed a grey finger to the paused still of a gory Saw scene.
"I just naturally ooze charm, so I don't have any trouble with the ladies," he continued, smirking with that dry wit.

"Swimming, huh? Well, that might be nice...I wonder if she could go to the beach." Marshall murmured, before Oz pointing out the film. Yeah, a lot of girls weren't into the whole "excessive amount of fake blood" thing.
He glanced back at Oz, jabbing his friend in his gray gut with his flipper hand again, "Yeah, you ooze some thing alright, but I ain't sure its charm." Marshall chuckled.
Marshall was relieved, though: Oz did seem to have good advice. Or at least, advice that made sense.

Oz guffawed, feeling quite relaxed now and forgetting he had a care in the world. He should start calling himself 'Big Daddy' or 'Daddy Kong' or something since he'd become a relationship guru of sorts.
"Is she half person? Like a mermaid...?" he asked carefully, having only met Alec as another aquatic person. So, he was basing his assumptions on Sayuri, his mermaid.

"N-no...She's like, a full fish I guess. But she still has legs and arms and every thing. Like I said, I'm not sure what exactly she's supposed to be." Marshall chuckled sheepishly, admitting to himself that he barely knew the girl.
"...And whats this about a Mermaid?"
