Yea. One of the three best punk rock bands to ever be formed. In between the Clash and the Ramones in that era, was the Sex Pistols. Johnny Rotten, Sid Vicious, Glen Matlock, Steve Jones, and Paul Cook (The original 70s Sex Pistols). This is one of the bands that brought punk into the picture. Johnny Rotten and Sid were a dream team.
So just discuss 'em. What you liked, what you didn't like, what was appropriate, and unappropriate. THe controversies.

The Pistols weren't bad, I admit I haven't heard all their stuff, but what I've heard I've liked.
About Sid Vicious, I think why so many people are into him is because of the whole scandal with his death and s**t, cause his musical abilities were way below average. And I haven't found anything special about him.
The band on the other hand wasn't all that bad. There are some songs I actually think are pretty good, like Anarchy Pour Le UK.

I think that the Ramones are better, just because they didn't try to pose. I mean, English punk was just for fashion, but look at the american punks. We all look different. There's a lot of variety here.
But on topic, Sid, in my opinion was a very good singer. Something Else was an awesome song, even if it wasn't with Johnny Rotten.

I like listening to the Sex Pistols but don't really care for playing it because it's too simple and repetitive.
Sid's solo stuff is okay. Especially the French stuff. lol.
Have you heard John Lyndon's project from the 80''s, Public Image Ltd? They're not bad. Rather different from the Sex Pistols though.

I don't really blame him for wanting to split. The Sex Pistols were really screwed by their manager. He was just in it for the money, and supported Sid's drug habbit because he thought it'd sell more records.
