'Miseria Cantere' by A.F.I. played, as The GCW World Heavyweight Champion, Lucifer, made his way down to the ring with a microphone in his hands. He climbed into the ring, as half of the crowd cheered, and half of the crowd booed him. He then began to speak as his music ended.
"For all this time, I expected the fans to be behind me... And for all this time, they have... Until New Year's Impact... For some reason, the fans have decided to jump ship..." The crowd booed. "Shut the hell up and listen to me damn it! I am the GCW World Heavyweight Champion! I don't deserve this! This title signifys that I am the best in this sport. You, the fans, best listen to me. I am the greatest wrestler, to ever step foot in a GCW ring. And damn it, I will keep it that way! So unless anybody else wants to come down to this ring, and try to take that title away from me, things will stay that way. I am the best, and this ring, is my yard. So anybody who will challenge me, come on down." Lucifer threw the mic down as the crowd booed him.

*Bodies by Drowning Pool hits the arena as the crowd cheers at the return of The Talented One. He has a mic in his hand.*
"Dude, what has happened to you? When we were talking in the hospital after I was jumped on by Prodigy you looked after me, showed me respect and acted with dignity.
"Now that I have returned, the first thing I see is you running down the fans. Have you suddenly grown a ego the size of Vince McMahons while I was away or are you suffering from PMT?"

"Respect? Dignity? That was pity! You wanna know why I disrespect the fans? It's because they turned on me! In a blink of an eye! I am the hottest commodity in wrestling today! I could leave this company and get more respect in bigger federations, but no! What do I do? I stay here in GCW for the fans. But do the fans care? Hell no! I am the GCW World Heavyweight Champion. The fans better respect me, and most of all, you better respect me..." Lucifer stands in the center of the ring.

Cartwright makes his way to the ring.
"I did have respect for you man, I really did. But you have just thrown that respect out of the window. You say that you pity me....but I think the fans will agree that we pity your poor performance in that ring! You stunk the place out at New Years Impact! You are the John Cena of GCW!"

"Stink up the ring? I was basically carrying my team throughout the entire match! I would be one half of the GCW Tag Team Champions if it weren't for Roca... Anyways, back to the matter at hand. How could I stink up the ring, when I was the one who almost carried my team to a victory? Please, go on, explain." Lucifer rested his arms on the ring ropes in the corner.

I let go of the fans getting in my way, and look what I am holding! The GCW World Heavyweight Championship! Maybe if you did too, you could see how badly the fans are holding you back!"

"I accept, but to make things interesting why don't we make the match a preview of what we will see at Gaiamania....a ladder match!"

Lucifer thought for a second, before answering about the match type. "Ladder Match for my GCW World Heavyweight Title? I may have taken a few bumps to the head, but I damn sure am not stupid... You want my GCW World Heavyweight Championship, you are gonna have to either make me submit, which will never happen, or you will have to pin me in the middle of the ring, 1, 2, 3. Or do you not want to take my title belt?" Lucifer asked.

"Scared of heights? I was in the Walkway to Hell match, and won it! Even with the risk of getting tossed into the ring full of thumbtacks! If I lose, and you defeat me in the center of the ring, then I will remember who I really am, but that will obviously never happen. Deal?" Lucifer held out his hand to Cartwright.
