Zuri was creeping closer to pride rock minute by minute, it was times like these she could bury herself and forget about any thoughts of being put into a Nanny postion.
It was a few days after she'd ventured into the unknown beyond the pridelands and she wasn't interested in going back, but this... This was just as bad. Her father had always told her not to go to pride rock. Although she's fully grown now she still can't help but hear in the back of her mind what kind of fuse he'd blow if he knew what she was doing.
Pausing she shook her head. "No I must find out if the Queen'll let me do what I want. I can't just not go and not ask. Father'll understand one day." She looked around and grimaced. "I hope...." She didn't know much about this queen, she'd heard alot of Mufasa and Sarabi before this new Queen took over. Oh boy.... She stopped and shook her head trying to get past her father's words.
Stopping she looked for the queen for a moment and then sat still. "I don't know.... maybe I shouldn't come... maybe it's just asking for trouble." She said shifting her paws in the sand, she couldn't help but love playing with the little kids and making sure they stayed out of trouble... but would it be worth making her father furious? She looked around, 'where would the Queen be if she was here' Zuri wondered.

-Kami lay softly streched out along the tip of priderock, her eyes gazing softly out at the sky, as she lounge in her 'bed'ridden perch. She'd pushed her luck before.. heading out too far.. getting stuck out after night. She knew Ta would worry if she kept it up, so as her tiredness grew and grew, she finally forbade herself to travel anymore.
Of course now she was a blimp of a creature anyway, only a week or so away from bringing life to the 9 little ones within her. How ironic that it be now.. that one of the two she'd carried before would travel to see her.-
((Just incase you don't know, she's a siama colored maned wolf))
-Taking the rocks one at a time Hadaya made her way down the side of the large landmark, paying heed to make sure she didn't slip. With Kami stuck at home she was having to do alot of the queen's running. And today was no different.
The wolf was to take a quick peek through the lands, make sure everything was in order, before reporting back to the golden blob. However her attention was quickly stolen as she reached the bottom of the rocks. Familar golden pelt shimmering in the distance.
The royal pride color was not a rare one. Perhaps it was Jazhara though? Padding softly towards the pressence, she called out pleasantly.- "Good morning"

"Fawhhhh" Zuri Jumped, loking around to spot a maned wolf. oh crap.... I hope I'm not in trouble.... She coughed and blushed, had she been in a house the way she had jumped she'd most likely sunk her claws into the ceiling to hang around for a while.
Getting her composure back was a bit hard for a moment but finally she managed it. "He... Hello" She said with a grin looking up at the wolf. "Uhh... can you help me?" She asked sitting there not wanting to move much farther with out knowing what, if any, trouble she would be in for being here. As an after thought she added quickly, "Im looking for the Queen is she here?"

-Hadaya stared for a moment, taken aback by the jumpiness of the golden lioness before her. Before finally catching herself, and pulling forth her manners.- "That's what I'm here for."
-And as the question sounded, she nodded lightly, eyes turning back to gaze towards the tip of the rocks.- "Ahhh, yes she is."
"It's grown dangerous for her to travel around in her condition. So until the cubs are born she's staying up near the pridal den." -The words were matter of fact, like a script she'd got used to spouting over the past days.-
"You're free to head up however. She's not busy right now."

Zuri nodded and gave a slight bow, remembering her mannors. "Thank you." She said as she moved her way up the rocks. Being careful as she moved past the wolf before pausing for a moment. "This is the first time I've seen the rock up close, it's rather quite lovely." She said to the wolf, "Thanks again for you're help."
Hoping that the Queen was in the mood for vistors she contuined on her way, talking with the wolf it sounded like she might be. It gave zuri a bit more confidence in herself to complete her mission. One reaching the rock she looked over to where the Queen was taking a few steps closer before bowing. "Excuse, You're majesty if you wouldn't mind may I have some time to speak with you." She kept telling herself in the back of her mind she wouldn't let her father know about this if she got turned down.
What he didn't know wouldn't hurt him. Her tail flickered as she tried to keep her nervousness from choking down her will to get this job.

-Never seen it up close? She didn't know that was possible for one who lived in the lands. But she simply nodded, watching the lioness begin her journey upward, before she turned herself. Heading out into the grasslands.-
-Never the grand huntress, Zuri was almost on Kami before she even noticed the pressence, and the queen nearly swallowed her heart as the familar figure began to speak.
Sure she'd watched her grow.. snuck around like a fool and spied on the twins from time to time. But to actually sit here face to face.. To have her speak. Was she here because she knew? What horrible timing! How cruel it must have been.. to see Kami as she was.. fat with child.. after what had happened.
Kami was horrified, but softly she dragged the remains of a smile to her maw, awaiting the assault that was rightfully due to her.- "Y.. yes. We can talk."

Zuri nodded softly. "You're Highness I'd like to be a Nanny if I may." She looked at her hopefully. "I heard by word of mouth you were looking for Nannies to tend to the children of the pride." Her tail flickered soflty as her eyes searched the Queen for some sign of hope.
Of crouse she didn't know who she was really talking to. Her tail flickered as she she thought and added, "I'm really good with kids."

-The words she expected didn't come however. And her eyes focused on the other lioness more clearly as she spoke. A nanny position? She was relieved. She'd always wanted to be a nanny too.. so it was fitting in a way. Perhaps her daughter would get the joys of the thing she herself had always wanted?
Settling herself gently she debated asking if she had siblings, despite already knowing. But instead simply slipped past it.- "Ahhh.. do you have alot of experience with little ones then? We have a few older nannies already, but I like the idea of a few younger ones too.."

"I do have some experience with them." She nodded, "It maynot be much, maybe not even enough, but I've met several cubs since I've become an adult. I love to play games with them, and they seem to enjoy it as well miss."
Her tail flickered looking at the queen, she thought for a moment. "If you'd like I could always help you with you're own children, when you need a break, if you feel that I should need to prove myself." Her tail flickered maybe this would get her atleast a chance to prove herself. "Although..." Her ears fell, "it wouldn't make any difference if I never had a mom... I mean never knew my mom. I was kinda raised by my father, and wouldn't know much about the motherly side of things I suppose... he did the best he could though." She nodded thinking back to her father, his words echoed around in her head.

"Mmmm..." -She shuffled uncomfortably, trying hard to hide any guilt that might have settled in her eyes.- "Well I think.."
"I think that as long as your father raised you well. Or you had friends that cared dearly for you.. that is as good as any mother could be. Love is love no matter where it comes from."
-Quickly pulling away from the topic, she hurried onto her next words, sounding far stronger as the suggestion sounded.- "I think it would do you well to spend some time with the elder nannies. They can help teach you, and help you feel comfortable. Answer any questions you might have."

She looked at the queen her head tilted. Hrm, must be the cubs the queen was expecting making her having to shift.
Nodding softly her tail flickered softly. "Okay." She seemed rather pleased with this answer, it was atleast a answer and that she wanted to give her a chance. There was a childish grin that swept across Zuri's face before she shook it off.
"Is there anyone certain that you want me to learn from or just any nanny?"

-Her smile turned sheepish as it became obvious she was being inspected, but she did her best to sooth herself, pondering over the question.- "The head nanny Tai is always quite helpful. But really any nanny would do. Only those that I trust the children with have gained such a title, so all of them I would just as easily trust a student under."
"Perhaps find the one you feel most comfortable around?"

Zuri again smiled and nodded, "I'll see who I can catch up with." She didn't know anyone on this side of the rock so she figured she'd just have to poke around until she did.
After all she didn't want to bother The Queen with such questions, it might be over stepping her bounds a bit and she didn't want to make the lioness mad. She looked around the rock abit before nodding, "Then I suppose I'll have to go look for Tai or one of the others."

"Just look for someone with a small army of cubs." -She teased softly, hint of a laugh touching her.- "More then likely it'll be a nanny, or someone who uses the nannies often enough to be able to point you their way."
-Lifting her heavy body softly, she added gently, after a moment of hesitation.- "I hope to see you soon then.. Perhaps one day you might watch over my children for a small while?" -Even if they didn't know it.. what small joy it might bring Kami, to see her two litters together. To see Zuri playing and tending to the younger ones as it might have been had things not turned out as they had.-

Zuri grinned and tail flickered. "Okies!" She pranced happy at the thought of learning or even finding a pack of cubs. "Thank you for the chance, it really made my day." She said grin growing with all the accipated excitement, she was still a cub at heart.
Pauseing she looked the Queen as she lifted she nodded, "Yes I'd like that." She said softly having clammed herself down a little bit.
