Tue March 6, 2007 Ms Fallen Angel Fuana ran and jumped around in the grass, happy to be able to move. She raced to the nearest tree and skidded to a stop, only bumping her nose this time. She was getting better, last time it had been her whole head. She giggled at that and took off prancing towards the stream, where she ran through it splashing. Everything was so fun. lysia_nyteblade Shane had been flying all morning to try to get the smell of sweet grass and sage out of his wings from Lysia's smudging inncident the other day. As he looked down, he spotted what appeared to be a young filly prancing in the stream happily. Slowly he lowered is elevation so that when he whinnied a greeting she could hear him. After whinning to the young filly, he gradually landed on the ground in a gallop before slowing to a gradual walk, his long, ivy patterned, tail dragging the ground behind him. Ms Fallen Angel Fauna heard a whinny, which sounded like it came from above. Confused, she looked up to see a green winged horse. She began to run toward him and stumbled over a rock. She caught herself before she fell all the way down, but she had gotten a bit wet. She shook herself as she trotted over to where the green mare had landed. lysia_nyteblade Shane tosses his mane about with a small chuckle. "Be careful there wee lass." His vouce was it's usual dreamy, honyed tone as he spoke, thick with an Irish accent. "I hope yee didn't hurt yee self."Ms Fallen Angel "Mee self?" She said, a little confused by the funny talking horse. She giggled and ran in circles around him. "Why do you talk like that?" She asked, not intending it to be insulting she just didn't understand. lysia_nyteblade Shane smiled gently. "I talk like this, lass because it's the way everyone talks where I'm from. It is out way of doing things, wee one." Ms Fallen Angel "Oh, I see" She said, quite seriously. "I'm not where you're from then, because I don't talk like that, I talk like this." She said proud, of herself and how quickly she understood the idea.
"So, how did you get those wings?" She smiled and sniffed at the feather wings. Turning and sneezing when one tickled her nose. lysia_nyteblade Shane seemed to think on this for a moment. "You know, I don't know lass. I guess I've always had then since before I was a wee lad."

Thur March 8, 2007 Ms Fallen Angel "Oh" She said, a little disappointed. They were pretty, and she thought it would be neat to have wings of her own so she could fly. The thought passed quickly though, as her thoughts tended to.
"You match the grass" She said happily and giggled. "And I match the trees! Now we just need someone that matches the stream and we would all match together!" lysia_nyteblade Shane couldn't help but to chuckle at this. Such was the follies of young ones. "I take it that you like things that match?" He smiled warmly to her. His thoughts soon passed though as he woundered what a foal was doing out on her own. "I hope you will naigh think ill of me, but where aret thou parents lass?" Ms Fallen Angel Fauna thought about that for a moment "I guess I do." She said "Things look prettier that way." She smiled.
"Parents? What are those?" lysia_nyteblade "You mean ya dunna have em?" Shane found this odd. every foal needed parents, even if one has a nack for splitting and going their own way. "Parents are, well... they are the ones who give you life and are suposed to take care of you I guess.." Ms Fallen Angel "Oh, um...I don't know if I have any or not. One day I couldn't move, and the next I was running around. There were others like me, but I don't know where they went. I've just been running around and playing by myself. It's okay, it's fun. Then I met you." She nodded, matter-of-factly ans smiled.
"Do I need to have parents? Are they like wings? You have them and I don't? Are you supposed to just have them, or can you find them? If I need them I hope I can find them, because I don't want to be without EVERYTHING!" lysia_nyteblade Shane blinked a few times. "I guess you don't really need them, but it would be nice to I guess.. Matter of fact, I can't remember if I have any or not." He shrugged some and carefully layed down in the grass, fanning out his wings to catch the warm sun. Ms Fallen Angel She watched the stallion settle in the grass. This parent thing had her very curious. "So can I find parents? Because I like nice...and it would be nice to have someone to talk to. Can you be my parents?" lysia_nyteblade Shane's eyes widened. "You're... parent???" Shane hadn't thought about having any of his own just yet so this had taken him by surprise. He was barely a new commer here himself and a foal was asking him to be her parent. "I don't know... Would you like me to be your father figure?" He managed a small, warm, smile. Ms Fallen Angel "I don't know. You seem nice. I'm not really sure what a parent is supposed to do, or be like...but you're not mean and you already look after me, because you came here to talk to me. You don't have to if you don't want to. Is a 'father figure' like a 'parents'?"
Fauna layed down in the grass in front of him and layed her head on her legs. lysia_nyteblade "A father is a parent. And a mother is another type of parent. Only a father is a male and a mother is a female.." He was trying to figure out how to best discribe what a parent was to the little foal. "I would be glad to be your father if you want me to be." He smiled his normal warm, careing smile at the young filly. Ms Fallen Angel "Oh, I see!" She was happy she was finally understanding it. "You're smart! Is that because you're bigger than me?"
She paused "I would like you to be my dad, because you're nice and smart and you talk to me and you match the grass, and we can find a mommy who matches the water and we'll all be pretty!" lysia_nyteblade Shane smiled some. "Ok, though I don't know where we could find one. Butt I'll do my best small one. What Is your name any ways?" He had forgotten to get her name in the beginning of the conversation, though she had been busily playing so he guessed she hadn't really noticed. Ms Fallen Angel Fauna smiled and nuzzled him. She blinked at the question, she was going to ask his earlier but forgot because of the million questions she had flying through her head. "I'm Fauna." She said, beeming at her name. "What do I call you?"

lysia_nyteblade Shane thought for a while. "Well, my name is Shane, but I guess you could call me by that or by father." He shrugged some. "Fauna hmm? I like that name. It fits you well."Ms Fallen Angel "I like it too, it's pretty like me!" She smiled happily. "I'll call you father, father..." She giggled. "What else can you call fathers? What do fathers call me?"
Her tummy rumbled and she began to rip up some grass from around where she lay. lysia_nyteblade Shane thought for a moment. "I guess I would call you my daughter now and still refer to you by your name." He smiled warmly towards her before ripping up some clover and eating it before he continued. "And you might call me anything, like father, dad, daddy.. papa.. um.. da.. which is what fathers are called where I come from. Pretty much anything that means father." He nodded and began eating some more clover. Ms Fallen Angel "Daa. Dau. Da." She tried to pronounce it like he had. She giggled. "I like that. Where are you from? Is it far away? Can we go sometime?"
She watched Shane eat some grass and looked around for a nice patch to start on since she had already eaten away the good stuff from the last patch. She spotted one to her left and smiled and began munching on it. lysia_nyteblade Shane smiled softly. "Well, I'm from eirin's Isle... or the emerald Isle.. but most commponly known as, Ireland. Tis a beautiful place and my heart yearns to return at some point, though I doubt Ustler will ever bee the same." He couldn't help but to grinn when he heard her ask the question of if they could go. "I'm not sure when we would find time to go, though I'd love to take you some time." Ms Fallen Angel "That sounds nice. I bet the grass is good there. Why did you leave? You sound like you like it a lot." She said through the moutful of grass she chewed on. lysia_nyteblade "I left formanny a reason lass, ne're ye minde it. I liked it alot and yes the grass was quite good there, lush and green; and the clover was as sweet as sugar cubes." He beamed as he thought of his ative land. Ms Fallen Angel "I've never had a sugar cube before, but it sounds good. We should find some of those." She nodded and smiled listening to him talk of Ireland.
"Was it as green as you?" She giggled and nuzzled his wing, which caused her to sneeze again, feathers tickling her nose. lysia_nyteblade Shane chuckled and nuzzled her back. "Even greener. about as green as the Ivy in my mane and tail." He moved a wing to ruffle a bit before settling it back down. "Only one place I know of to get sugar cubes... and that's from to leggers.. or humans as some of the other horses call them." He sneezed loudly, the smell of sage and sweet grass was still permiated in his feathers. Ms Fallen Angel "Oooo, pretty!" Fauna gasped, looking at the green ivy in his mane.
"Leggers? Humans? I don't know what those are either!" She sighed. "I don't seem to know much, but that's what you're for, Da!" She sniffed the air as he ruffled his wings, sniffing a strange scent that came when he moved. lysia_nyteblade Shane grined some. "It's ok. You'll see what I mean soon enough." He nuzzled her reassuringly. Ms Fallen Angel "Really?" She perked up instantly. "Neat!" She happily ripped out new grass to munch on and chomped on it a little loudly. lysia_nyteblade Shane chuckled a bit more. She was very energetic indeed. "Where is it that you sleep at nights?"

*nods* Indeed
Fauna shrugged. "I don't really have a set place. I just find a nice dry place. On nice nights I like sleeping under the apple trees."

"I see, then how wouldst thou like to come find a place to call our own? Mayhaps a nice place with wild growing apple trees and some Ivy?" He was thinking as he spoke to her. He had found a similar place that he was sure no one else inhabited currently and thought it a wounderful place for him to raise his new daughter.

She jumped to her feet and whinnied with glee. "Yes! Yes!" She giggled happily. "Come on!" She nudged him with her nose gently.
She took a few steps back and pranced a little, waiting for him to show her the way. She loved having someone around, especially Shane.

Shane chuckled happily as he got to his feet and began to walk in the direction of which he thought he had remembered the area to be. "It shouldn't be too far off really since it was on my way here that I had seen an area just as I had spoke of."

Fuana bounced along at Shane's side. Sometimes she would run ahead, and then she would catch herself and slow down. "Are we both going to live there? I love apple trees!"
Out of the corner of her eye Fauna saw a butterfly floating around near them. She giggled and slowly creeped toward it, as she approached it took flight and flew in the direction they had been heading. Fauna chased after it, not actually paying attention where she was going. She hit her head on a tree, not too hard...just startling and blinked and looked around for Shane. He was only about 10 feet behind her, so she turned and headed back toward him, totally forgetting about the butterfly now that it was out of her sight.
"We should have an apple everyday! They're so good!"

Shane let out a deep honied chuckle once more. "Aye lass, we'll both live ther but I wouldn'a go eatin too many of thoes apples. Ye could twist a gut and be in some real trouble. A twisted gut isn't nearly as bad as what it could do to ye if it isn'a taken care of.. Once apple too many can cause even the wisest of horses their lives." He had remembered what his own mother had tought him long ago in Ireland. She had been whitness to the affects of a horse eating too many apples so she had warned him never to become so greedy as to eat a whole lot of them in too close of a time.

Fuana's eyes got wide. "That doesn't sound good." She paused "I...I won't eat too many." She said sincerly, she might not know what a twisted gut was but she didn't like the sound of it and didn't want to make Shane upset if she got one.
"Well, atleast we'll always have a treat!" She said, slipping back into her easy happiness. She grinned and proceded to trot after Shane.

Shane smiledsoftly at her. It was always easy to smile around her since she was always so full of life. Shane switshed his long tail about some before stopping to look around. The sweet perfume of the wild growing apple trees was thick in the air though it floated happily apon the warm spring breeze towards them, seemingly from just the other side of a rather thickly tree lined area. "This is the place. Just through these trees and in the middle is a nice secluded medow with appletrees and clover and Ivy." He smiled warmly before beginning to carefully push his way through the trees. "Stay close, Fauna." He told her, his voice firm yet warm and gentle. The last thing he wanted was for her to get lost and/or hurt.

Fauna whinnied happily with the news that they were almost there. She smiled and stayed very close to Shane. She was so excited she didn't see the tree root sticking up and didn't lift her hoof enough and tripped. Not falling, but it caused her to bump into Shane. She shook her head, gathering herself. "Sorry!" She said, "I wasn't looking down, too excited. I'll be more careful." She giggled. "Let's go!" She straightened herself out and took a step back away from Shane so she could better watch where she was going. The air smelled wonderful, it was almost intoxicating. She couldn't stop smiling.

Shane couldn't help but to chuckle at his adopted daughter. "It's ok. It's good to be excited but mind you watch your footing. It would bad if we had to turn around and find a human to heal you." He contnued to walk through the brush and trees. The light dappled on his coat before finaly giving way to the darkness.
