Ok, after having, at least most recent, the worst day ever I am finally relaxing. Since 6 PM on Tuesday my son has been throwing up and crying non-stop. At 3AM Wednesday we went to the hospital! Sat there for what seemed like forever, for them to tell me the same thing the regular doctor said, "He is fine, blood work-normal, urine test-normal, everything else-normal.

So why???

My 7 year old has an ulcer!!!

Now what do I do???

eek Oh my! Did the doctors give you any advice at all on how to handle it? I've never known anyone who had an ulcer before....I wish I could help with some advice, but I just don't know. sweatdrop

the doctor's weren't especially helpful were they?
for someone that young to have an ulcer i'd say it can't have been caused by the usual things such as stress!
the best of luck in finding out the cause, is there a chinese herbalist near you? they might be able to offer some help, or at least some advice.
hope he's doing ok heart

How did you find out he had an ulcer? The doctors all told you normal bloodwork, tests fine, everything normal, so who diagnosed the ulcer, and then why didn't whoever diagnosed it tell you what can be done next? *confused*

Thank you for the replies. The only real thing the ER doctor said was to go to our usual doctor and be sure to get a referrel to the specialist. I wonder how long that will take us?!?

He gave Justin some meds to take, but I don't feel happy with those. As for cause, yes, stress is a big factor. It's hard to believe, but for a seven year old who is one of the most compassionate people I know, he takes everything in and doesn't know how to deal with those things that are hurtful...
