Tucked off into a small backstreet lays a small but formal looking store with an elegant storefront of bamboo window grates and relatively lovely looking curtain trimming - used to keep the dust out in the afternoon hours. The door is open, though a curtain hangs over the majority of the doorway to keep the weather out from the interior of the shop. From the shop front, a number of delicate ceramic items are visible, from fine dishes to miniature statues. The sign beside the door proclaims the small shop to be 'Sato Ceramics,' in rather plain but clearly formed lettering.

Inside the shop has rows of shelving to display various articles on sale. There is a counter behind which a young Haka resides, though he looks rather bored.

In the back of the store there is a second door which seems to lead out into a small courtyard behind the shop. Should one catch a glimpse outside the doorway, one would find the large brick kiln build against the far wall, along with a small additional shed for storing tools and works in progress.

Capek wrinkled his nose at the smell of the shop, grimacing. Someone had left the back door open for too long as the smell of fish and burnt wood had crept in the shop in the time he'd taken his lunch break. Setting his jaw into a stubborn line, Capek ducked through the front door, crossed the length of the small shop and tugged the back door shut, closing out the smell. He quickly moved about the rest of the shop, wondering briefly where his brother had got off to as he pulled back the curtains from the windows up front, tying them back with cord and letting the fresh air from the street flood in and - hopefully - take the odd smell with it.

"Good for nothing," he muttered absently under his breath in reference to his younger brother. At this rate, his brother would make a very poor heir to their mother's property. Capek stole the broom from behind the counter, busily setting to the task of making the doorway and the step of the street presentable to passerby. There was little else to be done in terms of upkeep though. He'd given the whole shop a thorough sweep done when they had opened in the morning, the shelves had been organized, the courtyard out back had been properly whipped into some semblance of order...

In reality, this tinkering was just Capek busying himself with something while he waited for either his brother to return from wherever he had got off to, or for someone to show up at the shop of their own inclination.

SHinku paused looking into the shop glass window, eyeing the ceamics inside. Small fine dishes, miniature statues, it was a treasure chest for the eyes. All of it quite darling.

The haka thought for a moment before stepping closer to browse and hopefully find wares for his new home. Lets see he needed a full table set of cups, saucsers, and plates. What did they have here? Not to mention bowls, could not foget the bowls. perhaps some other things as well.

"Do you work here?" He asked the single Gehaka brushing the steps clean.

Beating the dust off the stoop, Capek had been a little oblivious to approaching prospective buyers. As the Hanze spoke, he pulled the broom up short in a marvelously awkward, hamfisted manner, starting a little. "Uh--" he tucked the broom quickly against his chest, making a quick bow to the haka. Quick, but low enough to be respectful - low enough that he could take the opportunity to let his gaze skate over the quality of the haka's kimono, the styling of his dress, picking out any subtle clues as to his station as he could before he straightened, offering the would-be customer an appropriately gracious smile.

"Yes, my lord. It's my mother's shop," he explained patiently, quietly leaning away to set the broom just inside the doorway, leaning it up against the interior wall. "Might I interest you in stepping inside to take a look around? My brother, who runs the shop, seems to have run off but I'll be happy to help you if you have no objections..."

Because he'd met haka like that. Wanted him to push and carry and pull his weight around like an ox, but were absolutely scandalized to learn he might very well be half as intelligent as his haka brother. Surely, a gehaka was not capable of simply arithmetic and sums, not capable of doing anything but cheating on price and misinforming a customer.

Hmph.

In retrospect, Capek told himself, there really weren't so much haka of that natural. They just had a tendency to stand out in his mind - a sour taste in his mouth.

A small tilt of smile crossed the pointed face, green eyes twinkling with a touch of laughter at the awkward stammer sound. Shinku gave a small tilt of his head at the other. "Please relax. I will not eat you," he teased enjoying the rare chance to poke Gehaka training.

"If you would please, I am just setting up my household and I find I am short in a varity of things," he replied stepping inside glancing around with bright quick eyes. Surprise, surprise his husbands dowerys where both in coin and while his mother granted him some household neceities they where worn. "I would not want to forget something important. First what sort of tableware do you have?"

Well in that case...- The set of the gehaka's shoulders eased considerably, the younger Hanze quickly falling into a considerably more relaxed state of being as he stepped inside the shop after the haka. Capek snagged the broom from off the wall as he went, intending to put it back in it's place behind the counter.

"Ahh," he remarked, weaving his way to the back of the shop, stowing the broom. He straightened and smiled. "Newlyweds." The best kind of customer - though, Capek was a little surprised the haka hadn't brought his new husband. They tended to travel in pairs in the very least, if not by the handful.

"Plates, bowls, a number of cups - and my brother has a penchant for making spoons and teapots." Very little of the shop's contents was actually made in the courtyard behind the shop. In actuality, much was bought from local artisans or sold on commission in the shop. All save the tea sets and the delicate glass and clay dolls that lined the store's topmost shelves. Teapots from his brother, the dolls with their delicate faces and carefully embroidered kimono from his mother.

"Yes, he doesn't know I'm here. It's a surprise at the moment," Shinku added with a smile eyeing the tea sets on the topmost shelves. "My elder brother instead is with me but he's arranging for the tables delivery." His eyes ran down the doll giving a grin. So cute.

"Lets start with some of the teapots then." He paused, resting a finger to his lip in though. "With the white ones."

"The white ones," Capek echoed absently, stepping back from the shelves and putting his hands absently on his hips as he skimmed the shelves, picking out the different teapots. He stepped forward, taking five different pots from the shelf and setting them carefully down on the shop counter so the Hanze could get a closer look.

"My brother made three of these," he remarked, motioning to the first three. "These two" -- he pointed out a plain white teapot, and the pale ivory colored one accented with small blue flowers -- "Were made by Yamasin-san." Capek paused, shooting the Haka a glance. "If you don't mind me saying, I'm more fond of my brother's, though I admit I might be entertaining a slight bias." He grinned sharply, bright and friendly and just a little charming.

Of the three other pots, two of them were a very clear white while the other was a soft creme color. One of the white ones had fine swirling clouds etched into the ceramic, swirling up from the bottom. The second had tiny blossoms painted onto the ceramic, few and far between but rather attractive nonetheless. The third, the creme colored teapot, was fairly plain, though the top had small river stones pressed into it.

He ran his fingers over all the tea pots deciding first on how they felt in his hands. How thick the clay was and feeling for flaws or chips. The two with flowers he disregared focusing instead on cream color teapot with the oddly attactive stones and the other with the clouds. "They are both quite lovely."

He paused and smiled. "What sort of plate ware do you have that would match either of these two?" he questioned deciding that the plate much match the tea pot.
