A black and white figure stalked angrily about the jungle, looking for another black and white someone, as a matter of fact. Under normal circumstances, she wouldn't be actively seeking out this individual, but she needed someone to take her anger out on.
"I know you're around here somewhere, Tego." She growled under her breath, fury and sorrow mingled together in her voice. As far as she was concerned, all of the misery she had gone through as of late was HIS fault. Everything started going wrong just a few days after meeting him.
"Come on out." She hissed, stalking angrily around the area that she had seen him last. "You are going to pay for ruining my life."
Of course, it wasn't Tego's fault, not directly, but in a way, it could be traced back to him. Only Hivu, who had such spite toward him, would think of it that way, but she did. She ultimately blamed Tego for the fact that Ixachy had deserted her, she thought that he had scared him off, and that was what set off the terrible roller coaster of emotions she had been dealing with lately.

-The leopard was happy, mind and body still soaring from the euphoria of the day before. A beautiful beautiful release of tension and frusteration. Two strangers, leopard and lioness. A day of simple pleasures. Calming talk, smiles, the subtle scent of pheremones, the warmth of her elegant body, and the feel of her tender tongue.
Tego almost sighed with satisfaction as he dwelled over the day before, lounged out across the branches. It was probably good it was only a one day thing, already he'd helped lead the lioness back out and on her way. But by the gods was it a good day.
Soft purr rumbling through him, his ears flicked upwards subconciously as something in the distance disturbed them. But it wasn't until they drew near enough to actually understand that the smile melted from his face. Eyes searching for the familar figure, which wasn't hard considering the ruckus she made tromping through the underbrush, he tensed himself softly before calling out in a soft muse.- "My my, aren't we in a bad mood girlie?"

Hivu's eyes immediately fixed themselves on Tego as she heard his voice.
"Why wouldn't I be? You have no idea what you've caused, do you?" She hissed, anger apparent, but sorrow lurking just behind it. "My life was just fine before you came around."
She growled angrily and fought back tears, though a couple escaped and trickled down her face. She wiped them away furiously and her tail lashed about behind her.
"Well, aren't you going to do something else? Make my life even worse? Go ahead and try, I don't care anymore!" She spat, anger taking over her sense of reason. As they both knew, when she got distracted by her emotions, Tego always came out on top in these arguments. It had happened before, and it could quite possibly happen again.

"What I caused?" -He stared down at her from his perch with mild amusement, tail beginning to sway.- "I think you're confused."
-As heartless as Tego acted, the tears weren't pleasant, and he pressed his gaze elsewhere as he slid back into the comforts of his cold mask. An easy task when words came spitting aggressively at him. Hivu was not company that he wanted right now, ecspecially not while she was going on and on about whatever.-
"I haven't done anything but help you girlie. So don't twist it otherwise." He stated it matter of factly. Despite the mean words, despite the cruel mind games.. he hadn't REALLY done anything that bad to her. Right?-

"Yes, you've caused me so much suffering in such a small amount of time, I didn't think it was possible!" She rolled her eyes, and began pacing furiously back and fourth. "You always think I'm confused, but this time it's you who doesn't get it."
She noticed that he hadn't looked at her for a few seconds, how odd. Perhaps she was getting to him? So easily? That couldn't be it. Tego was not one that you'd get the best of without a good, long, fight.
"Help me? Ha! You have never once helped me, not unless it was for your own personal gain." She snarled, her claws unsheathing and digging into the soft dirt out of her frustration. "But you wouldn't understand, why should you care? After all, it's just that helpless girl who got hurt, right? Why worry about me?" She asked, oozing sarcasm. "You're so heartless, I doubt you've ever felt the way I've been feeling for the past several weeks."

-He listened to the onslaught intently, eyes and ears finally drawing to her once more. It felt like she was speaking in riddles, the words constrewed and strung out. But the passion in which the words were being spit, that was perhaps even more frightening.
Hivu was a game. Always a game. He might have teased and taunted.. but seriously. He'd pointed out the nastiness of her good for nothing 'mate'. He'd tried to bring food for her freak cubs. SHE was the one that had turned his things bitter. What gain did HE have out of those things?
Anger bubbling as the thoughts stewed in his mind, he snapped unpleasantly.- "You don't have to have a heart to feel like a lunatic. But I'm afraid to say I HAVEN'T experienced that joy yet."
"Go find someone else to spill your problems to."

Perhaps it was her fault, but Hivu didn't see it that way. No, she had too much experience with him to expect anything nice from him, as a result, each attempt or accidental bit of kindness turned sour because she was trying to prevent Tego from causing more trouble.
"Joy? First the loss of Ixachy, then losing two of my cubs, you call that joy? No, I've experienced more heartbreak than you could bear to even attempt to comprehend." She growled, "Still think I'm a lunatic, do you? Perhaps you're just too dull and ignorant to understand." She scoffed.
"Oh no, why should I burden anyone else with my problems? It's you, the cause of all of this, that deserves to have it on your conscience and to have to endure my fury."

-Irritation bubbled through the leopard, claws sheathing and unsheathing tightly as the onslaught flew at him, eyes narrowed at the hysterical female.
It was one thing to dominate.. to bring her to such a condition because of something he'd done. But this was just painful. And the fact that he was growing ever unsure of his innocence of the situation only bit at him more.
Sliding from the tree branch, he landed with characteristic grace, streching his apendages with a coldness that made it seem as if he hadn't heard a word she'd said, before he replied nonchalantly.- "I'd think you'd be happy to be free of two of those little freaks. Only one to go."

The uncaring attitude that Tego had normally was one thing, but this, this was quite another. She almost thought that he might be sorry for what he did, or that he might actually act like he cared, but she should have known better.
That last comment though, that pushed her over the edge. "Nobody talks about my children that way." She spat, using all of her self control to keep from attacking him. She still had enough sense to remember that she couldn't beat Tego in strength, even if she was as hurt and enraged as she was right now.
"When you love someone and they're snatched away, it's like having part of you ripped away. If you understood that then you'd care, but then again, if you cared you just wouldn't be Tego." She growled, though her anger was fading fast and being drowned out by sorrow. Once again a few tears escaped and traveled delicately down her face, and she didn't wipe them away this time, it wouldn't matter. She couldn't keep them back for much longer.

-A snarl drew to his maw as she spoke, anger bubbling as she rattled on about how he didn't know anything. She was the one that didn't know anything! He had lost something, something very important to him. And it hadnt been because he'd not kept an eye on her. It was because she'd beaten him bloody and left him to root in the dirt.
And his recent meeting with the girl again.. That certainly didn't help matters. His heart stung, his mind stung. He wanted to snap and slap the selfish little know-it-all b***h standing before him.
But already she was crying again, and he attempted to steady himself against it. Better that she be angry then sad. Stalking forward, within range of the leopardess, he chided lightly.- "I would rather be me and heartless. Then a weak and whining little tramp like you Hivu."

Hivu had never endured much physical pain other than birthing her cubs, but that in itself was a reward for a time. Of course, she wasn't aware of Tego's past, but as far as she was concerned, Tego couldn't understand the hurt she was going through.
Before she had been driven to the point of near madness, but somehow this had cleared her mind, if only slightly. This wasn't ALL Tego's fault, it was hers as well. Not that she'd admit that to him, it would probably just make things worse.
She scoffed, "Then you really are heartless, aren't you?" She asked, her voice suddenly steady even as the tears continued down her face and onto the jungle floor. "But maybe you did feel something once, nobody is born like you Tego. Maybe it hurt you so badly that you just decided not to feel anything anymore. That is true weakness." She said calmly, her reason returning to her.
"I can't believe that I once desired to love and be loved by you." She shook her head. "But I see differently now, you are incapable. Even if I still had that desire, it could never be, not when you yourself admit how truly heartless you are."

"Oh don't act so self righteous and flippant." -A geniune growl vibrated through his throat, tail lashing unpleasantly at her tirade. That was just like Hivu, to flip track so quickly, and weasel her way unknowingly into the truth. He didn't want her pity, nor did he want her to know she was right.
Already she was gaining control of herself again, and she was dangerous when she did. Sure she could have inflicted some physical damage before, but those wounds healed. The sort of damage she inflicited when she was quick and clever.. that sort festered. Hid beneath the skin and never went away, nagging at his mind when he least expected it.
Perhaps thats why his voice was so harsh as he snapped back.- "Do not call me a monster one day. And then try to make excuses for me the next. I am what I am."
"Perhaps you're just upset that you let the stupidity of emotions and ties hurt you so much. Perhaps you're jealous."
-Ears settled back hard against his head as the last of her words washed over him, he was stricken silent by the admission. Mind reeling back to the past, the memories flickered by as he tried to make sense of it. She couldn't possibly.
After all the abuse.
She'd never acted like it... Other then that first day.
Stalking forward, eyes narrowed to soft slits he grumbled unpleasantly.- "Didn't I tell you that love would bring you nothing but pain girl?"

Hivu rolled her eyes, "Monsters are created, not born." She said simply, "Though I have to admit that I never realized that before now. You have my sympathy." She added, half sarcastically. She didn't know why she felt the need to argue with Tego when ever he was around, but she did, and she did it well. They both knew it, but that wasn't to say that Tego didn't put up a spectacular fight too.
"Perhaps I am. Then again, I could accuse you of the same." She said smoothly, "Maybe you wish you could have what I do, but know you can't. You try to make up for it by taking it from me." She shrugged, "But what do I know?"
A moment of silence as she sat with a smug grin on her face; Tego was confused. She loved it when that happened.
"You did tell me that, but you're still wrong." She shook her head, "Pain, yes, but also joy. Those moments make it all worthwhile."

-His mind drifted to his time with Latifu surprisingly, and for a moment he genuinely thought about her statement. It hadn't been anything but pleasant... But then.. it had been only one day. Who knew what love was really like. Whether or not his choice had been a good one.
But her last words range in his head, and he caught himself, snapping back at the familar leopardess.- "If they are so worthwhile, then why are you here yelling that your life is ruined?"
"Isn't your life 'fulfilled'?" -He taunted meanly, beginning to pace. He was growing tired of her. He couldn't seem to get a step over her today, and her emotions were particularly strong today, weighting down on his efforts and mood.-

"Ruined? My life isn't ruined, but you DID cause an awful lot of unnecessary pain and suffering on my part." She snapped back, ears flat against her skull. She hated when he tried things like this, making her seem so contradictory. In fact, it was the worst when she actually thought of believing him, when he had a good point.
"Maybe." A simply, snappy statement. She had to think about that one. If love was all that she said it was, her life should be complete, right? A look of puzzlement crossed her face for a moment before she shoved it away, not wanting Tego to see.
"Life is full of experiences. Some good, some bad. We have to live with all of them, and life isn't fulfilled until it's over." She mused, a bright look on her face. Okay, so she didn't really believe that, but it sounded nice, and it made her sound like she knew what she was talking about.
